I am an ordinary, everyday, empty nested single mom. I have a job I enjoy in Boulder. I have a son and a married daughter I love dearly. My son in law is pretty awesome too. I have a 5 1/2 year old granddaughter I am crazy about. And a brand new granddaughter who has stolen my heart. My daughter and her husband live nearby (I just moved to a brand new house here in Longmont) and my son lives in Wyoming. He teaches K and 1st grade PE and coaches high school football and middle school wrestling. Both of my kids are happy and that makes me a happy, ordinary, everyday, empty nested single mom. I moved 6 months ago to a brand new patio home after living my entire life in Boulder; the past 30 years in the same house. I love my new life style (and my son in law is thrilled he doesn't have to rake leaves!). I have more time to do the things I like. I enjoy sewing....ALOT. I like to cook but not so much for just me. I enjoy watching some TV, movies, sports, especially FOOTBALL (I'll watch a college or NFL game any time and a few specific shows. I like to go to games too.

  • Ami, 35 from Longmont, CO
    35, Longmont, CO
I have a thousand interests and have a hard time focusing on one thing at a time. I usually have three or more books going until I really get settled into one. I relish solitude, though I seldom get it. Being a parent and employee consumes most my time. I love being Catholic! I enjoy hosting parties and cooking for crowds but detest everyday cooking. I'm afraid of cows (I'm certain stems from ignorance) I love the outdoors, wildlife, hiking, camping and fishing or going on a drive - the sound of the wind in the pines is peaceful. I love the allure of the city, museums, concerts, cultural events (I can tolerate large amounts of people in small doses.) I love road trips. I have not been on any exotic vacations but I have travelled to over 30 States in the US - UP MI is probably my favorite. Music is a part of me, it moves me and I listen to many genres. I play the cello. I've played the national anthem for the Rockies, not on the cello. I've met a saint; John Paul II. I enjoy sporting events but I could care less about professional sports - the Superbowl is an annual shopping and movie for me - ghost town!!! I hate being the center of attention. I'm creative, enjoy gardening, love tulips and hate roses. I can be awkward and often connect best with others initially when there's a purpose - this is not to say I'm socially inept. Sometimes I fail at communication because I don't realize that someone can have completely different thought process! I love kids. I'm hard working, take pride in my work and tend to be a perfectionist. When I make up my mind and have a goal, I achieve it. I love to dance. There's more if you're interested, drop me a line.
  • George, 59 from Longmont, CO

Hello and Greetings! Here is some information about myself. I am an older gentleman who is currently strengthening my faith in and my Love for God. I am studying the bible with my church and I am finding it very interesting and enlightening. I find this centers me and helps me with, and understand my faith. I have always been very involved in my career to the point of being a workaholic. I am now focusing more on the church and more important issues then just working all the time. My pastor stresses a simpler life style and spending more alone time with the Lord. "Love Grows Here" is a new piece of artwork in my kitchen. One of the most visual examples Fr. Bob used in a class was an example of a pebble thrown out into a lake. How the resulting waves radiated out. He talked about how our actions and love, like the pebble waves, can travel out and serve as a good example. I have also learned the importance of having faith, but from my studies I have also learned that faith alone is not enough.. you must also show your Love by your actions. Faith and actions together-- just like the waves radiating out in the lake, touching other lives with goodness. I am looking to open and share another part of my life with that special loving person in a strong loving relationship-- faith based before and with God-- balanced between each of us- full of love, respect, and compassion.
  • Judy, 54 from Longmont, CO
    54, Longmont, CO
I am a musician located in the greater Boulder area. I was widowed early in 2011, after almost 18 years of marriage, and am mother to a son who is now 19 years old. Now that I've had time to adjust to being a single parent, and to navigating the multitude of changes resulting from that life-altering event, I am optimistically hopeful that I will meet another man with whom I can share several more years. Marriage wasn't such a bad deal - indeed, good enough that I'd like to find myself in a mutually loving and supportive marriage once again! I am seeking a man who has the capacity to love and experience joy, regardless of what lies in the past....a man who makes my heart "dance," and for whom I truly want to knock myself out in doing things to please, and for whom I will show my appreciation, love and support, not only out of obligation, but because it is my heart's desire to do so. (Yeah, yeah, there are days that even with the perfect match we all fall short of the mark, but for the long haul, if I am to remarry, I have to believe that it is to someone with whom this attitude will be nurtured and lasting.) I want him to spend time and effort learning about who I really am, and not to "off-the-cuff" assume that he does know who I am. I would like both of us to have the conviction of being of service to one another, finding enough love and liking of one another that we would wish to make sacrifices for the happiness of one another without resentment. I would like to cultivate a relationship with a man in whose presence I feel safe, protected, and at ease, one who will stand up to injustice, and who has the ability to stay calm in a crisis.
  • Marilyn, 66 from Longmont, CO
    66, Longmont, CO
Hello, My name is Marilyn and almost a Colorado native having lived here since I was very young. Colorado was the surrogate homeland of my parents who immigrated from Switzerland after WWII. Their intention was to learn the bakery business and return home with their young family. As we all know, things don't always go according to plan. Instead they learned the restaurant business and owned a family restaurant in North Denver for 30 years. My siblings (three sisters) and I always had a job. How many ladies do you know that apprenticed in the fine art of potato peeling? I'm "almost" retired but so enjoy the company of young children that I'm not ready to leave the school atmosphere. I have no bragging rights to being exceptional in any sport but enjoy a short hike, riding a bike, and being with friends attending social events. I enjoy stage plays and musical events and perusing antique stores, museums, and the like. I am open to new experiences as I know there's much more to see and learn. I was married for half my life, have been widowed for four years and miss my special someone. I have two grown sons and most likely will be seeing one of them marry in 2017. I pray everyday that our "brave new world" will leave as many wonderful memories for my sons as I have had growing up in simpler times. I'll be glad to reminisce with you.

  • James, 46 from Longmont, CO
    46, Longmont, CO
Born and raised in Colorado, I love the outdoors. My career gives me the opportunity to spend times outdoors and when not working, I play outdoors. I was raised a conservative Catholic and faith plays a important part of my life. Looking for someone to share my life with in the outdoors and in faith.
  • Shannon, 25 from Longmont, CO
    25, Longmont, CO
I am a 25-year-old high school science teacher and I am also currently getting my masters degree in curriculum and instruction from CU Boulder. I love country music and I am a pretty good swing dancer, but I also enjoy an eclectic assortment of other types of music from Frank Sinatra to Panic! At The Disco. I can geek-out over anything from Star Trek to Doctor Who and get very excited when anyone wants to talk super heros (side note: Superman is the worst superhero). I'm a fan of great conversation, sushi, and old movies. I'm looking for someone who is honest and secure about who they are. I am on this site because I am trying to find someone who is kind, smart, funny, loves country music, and maybe even a little geeky too. A man doesn't have to spend a fortune on a girl to impress her, I'm looking for quality. I also do like to argue a bit, and I speak fluent sarcasm. I like to be active and go outside, even though I am a ginger. The reason I am here is because I have never exclusively dated someone due to their denomination, and I am finding more and more that my relationships have lacked a deep relationship with God. I am looking for a partner in life who will share my faith and grow in love of Christ. I have realized that being Catholic is a core value I would like to share with my life partner.
