63, Wallingford, CTI'm the middle of three children. . I enjoy the simple things in life, which I feel has been blessed in so many ways. Humor and laughter (which is very important) give me a sense of balance that I could not do without. A walk in the evening, watching the stars and the moon or just listening to the gentle sounds all around me, I find soothing. Though I must admit thunder storms tend to lull me to blissful sleep at night. Love the water ever since I went to the Thimble Islands, just can't get there as much as I would like (no one to go with). I guess I'll just have to make do with sunrises and sunsets. I strive to be a gentleman as opposed to being a man. The phrase "How is this pleasing to God?" is the basis for whatever I do. The Cloister in Guilford holds a special place in my heart as well as the Lourdes shrine in Litchfield. I love working in a seminary. I meet people from around the world, learn about different cultures, customs and food. In my small way I help mentor these young men toward their goal of being ordained into the priesthood. I enjoy the celebrations put on by our spanish community during the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Am I perfect? To be honest with myself I would have to say no. I do try to learn from my mistakes. If I'm wrong about something I'll admit it. Did I mention that I enjoy singing in the choir?

60, Branford, CTHonesty is really important to me; I do look like my photos. Simple things/activities suits me just fine and am also fun loving with a good sense of humor, am easy going without drama, friendly, honest, attentive, affectionate if there is a connection, kind, and dressing up or down as the occasion requires. Smiling often, laughter comes easily. I have a really optimistic attitude about everything--ask God. :) Being outside in the nicer weather especially around Long Island Sound (fishing for snappers is hysterical), and just beaching it soothes me. In the winter, carefully having calculated doses of cold is key as far as I'm concerned with walks, cross country skiing, or car lunches facing the sun by the water! My exercise: swimming at the gym and LI Sound, walking, running on treadmill, top the list, but I'm not a gym fanatic or what you would consider an athlete; I'm doing just my part to stay toned and healthy daily with balance. I also enjoy gardening. Hmm, Red Sox games are fun to watch, if my schedule and cool and cloudy weather permits, but I'm not committed to being one of those full-time fans that live around the game :) but also enjoy other people's interests, too, and easily fit in; I think that came with being # six of six! We were taught early," it's not all about me" mentality in life, gratefully. I'm going to be going through Big Papi withdrawal this season, although snuggling on the couch will surely be the remedy I would like to see the most. A little personal background as to why I retired at 58; it has nothing to do with health; thank God, I'm healthy. I loved teaching but two age brackets: high school and middle school daily my last year of teaching was a bit much for proper balance in life, but I did love teaching for my lifelong career for 35 years--mostly blissful years, I like to say. :) I do miss the kids. I am financially independent as well, without debt, no worries. I now volunteer weekly for a pro-life non-profit founded by a Catholic and other pro-life activities and teaching CCD, when there is an opening, too. I enjoy life and think I have a good balance in living out my faith is showing my love of God and to others in prayer and in action is very much a part of who I am; I learned this from my loving parents, both in heaven now. I am missing my future spouse though and wondering if it could be you feeling the same to live in a very happy marriage with God as our center.
