Hello...... First let me tell you a bit about me. Worked for The government and moved on to hospitals in my area, very difficult, but very, very rewarding. I would go back tomorrow, that is, if they would hire someone my age............I saw so much at the hospital and believe that the work changed me as an individual. I am grateful for the experience. Raised on a working farm, as children, my sisters and I worked along side my parents to grow and harvest what we grew. And that included vegetables and tobacco. One thing that stayed with me from childhood is my love for horses, and all animals. As an adult I had several wonderful horses, and rode many miles on the trails. Today , my daughter and her husband continue the legacy with show horses and he is a farrier traveling from coast to coast in his trade. All of my grand children ride and great grand kids are on their way to riding as well. Now the years have been good to me, I sure don't look, or act my age, (so I have been told). Keeping active is good for both body and mind. I do enjoy a walk on the beach at sunrise, or set. And would enjoy a quiet dinner with someone special. One very special form of communication that people have at their disposal today is the joy of just talking to each other. I do believe, that this is something missing in our society today. What better way to comfort someone than just the touch of a hand. That I learned in the hospital. I would like to meet a man who has respect for women, is kind to all creatures, and knows which fork to use.....has a good sense of humor and can laugh at himself. a man who is intelligent and willing to learn new things, see new places. A man who is willing to learn about his partner and what she needs, and wants. Do you believe it is better to give than receive? If so, I would like to talk with you.

One of my favorite activities is hiking. Love the outdoors. Also, love to spend time in my flower garden in the summer. Love movies, dancing and going to the gym. Reading the Bible and learning about God is very important to me. Do not like to talk about politics or religion. I have one son who lives in Hawaii that I visit each year at Christmas time.

I am a 62-year old guy who was very lucky to experience and share a loving, supportive, and faith-filled marriage for over 27 years with a very special woman. Together we raised three "wonderful" children, two sons and a daughter. Our daughter, who was the youngest, graduated from high school in June 2012, and started college two months later. With all three kids in college, and on their respective ways to adulthood, one could say that my wife and I were about to enter the "Us Time" of our shared life, as "empty-nesters". For the first time since the very early days of our marriage, we did not have any "child-bearing", or "child-rearing", crisis or drama looming on the horizon. We could finally think about, and start planning for, what the "rest of our life" might hold, or so we thought. About 12 months before our daughter's graduation, my dear wife chose to retire from her full-time professional career in public service. After over 33 dedicated years, including a decade that had many 50-plus hour work-weeks, my wife's job had started to take a toll on her health. That year also proved to be especially important as she was able to shepherd our daughter through her college decisions.

Hi and thanks for reading my profile. Sorry about the pics, not much I can do about that.To tell you about me I must say that I am a father first. My kids are my world. I cant wait to see them. It is what I look forward to most. I love God, my family, my life, dogs, and my job. I own my own home and I have no debt. I am not looking for someone to fix me, nor am I wanting to fix someone. I am independent and I like that. I am fifty one years old and I do not know which fork is for the salad and which is for dinner. I also don't know why that matters. I like to get dirty, but I can clean up too. I like sports and cars a lot. I love dogs. I want the companionship of someone I am attracted to. I want to feel my heart beat so hard I feel as though I may pass out. I want to make someone feel special. I want to make someone happy. I feel I have much to offer. I am loyal, responsible, honest, caring, compassionate, and warm. I am a man of character and integrity. I For the last fifteen plus years I have been Dad. I am so out of touch with so many things. I don't know any of the new music or movie stars. LOL. I am getting a golf club membership this year so I can get back into playing. I would like to have someone to explore all these things with. I like to be outdoors. I like to work in my yard and on improving my house. I have a workshop garage that my son and I like to work in. My kids are active as well and I enjoy being part of their lives. I spend a lot of time with them and their activities. I am active in my parish and am a member of the Knights of Columbus. I taught sixth grade CCD for several years including teaching my own children. I am a military veteran. I think I should leave some for another time. I hope to hear from you or good luck in your search. P.S. did I mention I love dogs?

Hi I was widowed at the end of last year. I was married to the most incredible person a man could ask for! We were together 30 years! I'm kind of a quiet guy until I get to know people. I'm light hearted and enjoy traveling and just about anything outdoors.

I have an infectious personality and love to laugh. I value integrity, trust, and honesty. I thrive when I feel safe and with someone vested in the relationship and resolves conflict devoid of anger. I consider myself a faith based person.
