31, Wilton, CTI am a relatively simple girl, someone who enjoys the simple pleasures of life. I am just looking for the right man to settle down with. In today's day and age, I have found it to be a more than a little challenging to find that special someone who shares my values and beliefs. So I have turned to the internet in hopes that Mr. Right may also be somewhere out there. My family is of the utmost importance to me and they have definitely been the driving force to make me who I am today. In my spare time, I like to read, scrapbook, watch TV and spend time with family. Hoping to find someone who shares my beliefs and values - someone honest, down to earth, and ready to settle down. Want to find out more? Send a quick message and I will be happy to respond!
32, New Haven, CT"I do not seek to understand in order that I may believe, but rather, I believe in order that I may understand" -St. Anselm. My faith has been a gift, and through God's grace, I am continually seeking to grow in my understanding and practice of it. After college, I lived in Spain for several years, and in many ways, I consider it to be home despite the fact that I no longer live there. My experiences in Spain and the people I met there were very influential in my life and helped deepen my faith. I have a wonderful family and group of friends, and Im very grateful for them. I love traveling, wandering around and exploring different cities, learning about different languages and cultures, linguistics, literature, music, art, and cooking. I have a job that I enjoy very much. I love learning and am a seeker of God's Truth in this world. My favorite Bible verse is Do not conform yourselves to this age, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and pleasing and perfect (Romans 12:2). Santiago de Compostela in northern Spain is one of my favorite places in the world and I hope to complete the Camino de Santiago in the not-too-distant future. :)
35, Manchester, CTI am a little bit of everything: intelligent geek, athlete, musician, thinker. I am terrible at the online dating game and always hoped I'd meet someone along the way. I teach music at a Catholic High School and use it as a vehicle to help kids know God's love for them. I am a huge fan of St. John Bosco. When it comes to Mass - I go to every type of Mass. I've sung the Latin Mass, and I attend 'regular' Mass and Life Teen Masses. I seem to love it all - but might not be able to stick to just one kind! I love to do and try many things. I love going to concerts and plays. I love being in concerts and plays. I love working outside. I love swimming and skiing and biking. I am not into the bar scene but enjoy being at a table all night with friends! I'm outgoing and shy at the same time - I'd like to say I'd make the first move, but really, I wait on the guy... so send me a message
29, Hamden, CTHi! My name is Blair. It's nice to "meet" you! I recently read an article about how to introduce yourself in an online profile...so here is my best attempt to follow what was suggested... Rather than tell you things that are obvious (like my faith and my family are important to me) or describe myself solely based on what I do (teach high school theology)...I will try to describe the real me... I am passionate about teaching and not just high school theology. I love to help others learn and I love to learn too. I think the classroom has truly become a part of who I am - as both a lifelong student and teacher. I love to listen to other people tell their story. I am an attentive listener but oddly enough I do not have a very strong memory. I am a good mediator and I have a strong counseling capability. I love to work with teenagers. I am very organized and I enjoy helping others organize. I think I am pretty artsy/crafty (I hand painted two corn hole board sets as gifts) and I find tremendous joy in making creative gifts for people. Gift giving and acts of service are definitely two of the ways I best show my love. I am athletic and like competition. I love to laugh although I am certainly not the funniest in my family (that award goes to my older brother or my younger sister). I come from an Italian family and I greatly appreciate the traditions I have been raised with. I am strong in my convictions and I am passionate about the truth. I am confident in who I am though I know I am absolutely a work in progress...
31, Mystic, CTI have a classic INTJ personality type (according to Myers-Briggs). I'm always thinking in terms of what's most logical and carefully planning before I act, and I have a dry, witty sense of humor. I've been told I'm very difficult to read, but I really am quite warm-hearted and well-meaning in what I do and say, and I can be quite bluntly honest, cheerful, or silly depending on the circumstances. I'm not very demanding -- I like people best when they're themselves, and I think they should not be forced to change themsleves to fit my own expectations. I love all things deeply intellectual and any and all ideas. I love reading, watching movies, woodcarving, painting, doing research, singing, and learning languages (French, Arabic, ancient Egyptian, Latin, etc), history and culture (particularly ancient through early medieval times from the Middle East, Europe, India, and Africa), computers, and the practical sciences (like astrolabes); and traveling. I've always wanted "house" rabbits, but I wouldn't mind having any other sort of pet, especially of the furry variety (but definitely not bugs -- so entomologists are out). I'm great with children and animals and usually get along well with everyone. I'm very close to my family, especially my brother who's my best friend and my feline "nephews" Connor and Murphy. I've lived in both my home "village" and downtown DC and like both atmospheres. I've worked as a librarian, computer tech, web designer, office assistant, and now as a Kindergarten paraprofessional (teacher's aide). I have been in a church choir, and have volunteered as a cantor. I am a devout Catholic who, as regularly as possible, prays the Liturgy of the Hours and goes to Sunday Mass, and is deeply interested in Carmelite spirituality. And I definitely want to start a family. I'm a most private person and can be hard to get to know until I feel comfortable with someone, but I do make a positive effort to interact socially with others. I loathe cooking, but I'm a terrific and more-than-willing dish-washer.
24, Oxford, CTI'm an affectionate young Catholic woman, who likes having fun, playing outside, going for walks, relaxing, talking about movies, good conversation and time with family and friends. More about me: I love the Traditional Roman Liturgy and the Sacraments. One thing that you should know about me is that I have OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) and am being medicated for it. These conditions can be treated and I hope my special man would be willing and patient to work with me. I am passionate also about theology, philosophy, literature, and any good quality reading/studying. I like to write stories. Majoring in English at college was amazing because I love using the mind God gave me and learning about His Creation in different disciplines. People who have inspired me are my loving, hard-working, self sacrificing and holy mom and dad. Other people I admire are the elves in Tolkien's books!
26, Newtown, CTI consider myself to be a very warm and friendly person. I'm definitely goofy and sarcastic and I love to make other people laugh! But as much as I love to have fun I also highly value genuine and serious conversations. I will always be there for the people that I love. I have a lot of interests but I can pretty much have fun doing anything as long as I enjoy the company I'm with.
