I have recently graduated from college and currently, I am planning on applying for graduate programs near DC and abroad. Despite the fact that I might seem a bit reserved, I have often been described as adventurous, always searching for new places and new things to try.

"Your statutes are my heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart." Ps. 119:111 One of my favorite Bible verses is that Jesus is "the Way, the Truth and the Life". :) Thinking along these lines simplifies how I live my life. If this helps at all, I am a "city girl with an old-fashioned heart"... I have lived most of my life in cities, including New York City, and now, I'm in the Washington, DC area - but, I have always viewed myself as a simple lady, who likes the small town-suburban environment, and countryside landscapes, too. Who am I? I am a God-fearing woman... Loving... values relationships... Family-oriented... Intelligent... sincere... compassionate... Funny... generous... lovely... simple... kind... bubbly... adventurous... likes to try new things... Pro-life... Nature-lover... likes the mountains, trees, flowers, waters, beaches, lakes, rivers, creeks ;) ... Prefers warm weather... dreamer... idealistic... likes to watch movies... likes traveling... global person... Life-long learner... Theology of the Body... singing... dancing... 80s and 90s music... likes reading... literature... history... museums... concerts... and much more!;) "Man can fully discover his true self only in the sincere giving of himself." ~St. John Paul II Thank you for reading, and God love you! + ;)

  • Brendon, 25 from Washington, DC
    25, Washington, DC
Hi my name is Brendon! Faith, family, and friends are an important part of my life. I can say without this fantastic triangle I would not be the person I am today. Its hard to say what I like specifically, but I like to try new things: try new food, go to places I have never visited, and try new things. Totally adventurous type but I like to stay at home and binge Netflix once in a while. I can get a little competitive when it comes to playing games (but it's definitely not "bite your head off competitive"). I like to play tennis and bike/walk around the city. As for my faith, I cant say I know everything about it but I always try and find a way to make it part of my daily life!
  • Christine, 26 from Washington, DC

I'm passionate about education, especially youth missionary for a long time even since when I was a youth. Currently, I'm helping the religious education at my church, teaching 9 youth (age 14-20). When I was in my Junior year at University, I had a chance to study in Austria for half a year as an exchange student. During the half year, I travelled 9 countries. I met many friends there. The most unforgettable trip is the time in Rome during the Holy Week. It's a miracle that I got the tickets for all events (Papal Audience [VIP], Way of Cross, 3 Papal Mass...) by sending a request via email one week before the Holy Week. I like music. I play the piano and organ (learning organ now). Also, I like reading books. Of course, I enjoy spending time with my friends and helping those in need.
  • Alyssa, 41 from Washington, DC
    41, Washington, DC
I just finished RCIA and am happy not to have been married prior to this but I hope that I have finally found my church home. I am really enjoying classes very much and hope to meet a lot of great people in the church. I have been trained as a lawyer and have prestigious degrees but it doesn't seem like the typical path is what God has in store for me now - so I'm hoping to find out soon :) - whether that is finding the right person and having a family or something completely different, vocation-wise. Other than that, I really enjoy things like traveling to see my favorite things, whether church-related, food and exercise-related, or something artistic or cultural. NYC or even London is an aspirational home, but DC is fine too. I would really like to visit the Holy Land, Italy generally and Greece but have not before as I was concerned about my safety.

I fall in love with DC and continued my education in Urban & Social policy area. During the regular day, I mostly research. I love playing tennis, hiking, and doing outdoor activity. Friendship and faith is important to me.
  • Katherine, 35 from Washington, DC
    35, Washington, DC
I'm an ENFJ, outgoing, and fun. Born and raised in Texas, I make friends with strangers quickly. I like to laugh, am constantly cracking jokes, and I'm always up for new adventures. I also like spending quality one-on-one time with those I care about. Horror movies freak me out, and Visa Gold Olympic commercials make me teary-eyed. I like checking out the latest superhero movie, traveling around the world, checking out new restaurants or planning movie nights (like making dumplings while watching old Bruce Lee films). I love exploring DC's art and outdoor scenes but also equally enjoy staying in reading a good novel or binge-watching Netflix. I love volunteering and organizing events for my young adult group to serve the homeless, the local pregnancy center, food banks, senior citizen homes, and community homes for adults living with mental disabilities (L'Arche). I've also been studying Byzantine iconography for the past couple of years.
  • Daisy, 41 from Washington, DC

I am an independent woman who has a very positive outlook about life. I am passionate about volunteering especially for the less fortunate kids. I love to travel and spending time with my family.
  • Jasmine, 42 from Washington, DC

I am passionate about pursuing beauty in life - in mind, body, and heart. What else should I say? I love the ocean and taking walks in the morning when all is quiet.
