Hello! I think it's hard to put yourself in a box on a site like this, but here's my box anyways... I'm easy-going, friendly, and I like to have fun and make sure others have fun too. I like a balance of being social and having quiet time. I enjoy people who enjoy intellectual conversations. Creativity is fun and often underutilized. I'm thoughtful. I appreciate a challenge and like competitive games. I'm a bit quirky and nerdy and sometimes I just want to be different. Sometimes I step outside the lines because it's exciting. Laughter is important. Most of all I think it's hard to know someone from a profile and sometimes you simply have to go meet in person to see if you click. I like outdoors activities - camping, hiking, anything on the water, etc. I like house parties or going out to a bar, but I can't stand loud bars. I'm likely to say yes to anything adventurous. I like to joke around and have fun with people, and I like to talk. I'm not a shy person, but I only open up to those people who I think will understand me. In the things I do, I try to be a self-giving, passionate, dedicated person. I care a great deal about the poor or anybody that's hurting. I take my faith seriously and apply it in my life the best I can. I like biking and trail running.

I'm easy-going, very active, and enjoy learning and trying new things. I'm fairly intellectual and love reading - fiction, non-fiction, biographies, the news, etc. - and discussions about current events. I'm introverted and somewhat reserved, but I open up around people I am comfortable with. I tend to have a small-ish group of close friends, many of whom I've lived, worked, and/or traveled with. I have a sarcastic sense of humor, which often catches people off guard at first (they don't expect it from the nice, quiet girl!). I love working out - rarely a day goes by in which I'm not running, swimming, biking, or hitting the gym. I've run everything from 5ks to marathons and prefer longer distances - 10-milers and half-marathons are my favorite race distances. I started doing triathlons a few years ago and really enjoy them (see first three activities in my workout list!). I'm very outdoorsy and always up for a new adventure, whether its running a new trail, kayaking on a river, spending a day at the beach, or a few nights backpacking and sleeping in a tent. I find nature invigorating and calming (is that a paradox?), and always feel refreshed and more alive after spending time in the great outdoors. I love traveling, seeing new places and experiencing different cultures. I've learned a lot about the ways things work in other places, different views of life and the world, and my own sub-conscious assumptions through living and travelling abroad. I work in international development and enjoy the field. I hope that I'm contributing to improving lives and making the world a better place, though certainly question much about the way development is done. My interest in world affairs is one of the things that brought me to DC, and a big part of why I enjoy living here. I try to take advantage of the diverse cultural events, festivals, restaurants, and museums that the city has to offer.

I serve as a US Diplomat, specifically with the Foreign Service, so traveling and living overseas is a major part of my life. I believe I am one of those people who genuinely views life as an adventure. I figure you get one shot so you need to absolutely squeeze out every opportunity and experience, to include being a good family member and friend. My family tends to throw around the words enthusiastic, driven and dedicated when they describe me. I am very much an extrovert, but I enjoy the company of both outgoing and more introspective people. I love a good adventure or fun exploit, although I am extremely reliable. I take my responsibilities with work, my faith and my family seriously. I am highly ambitious in my professional and personal exploits, but I always try to temper that by being mindful of the most important elements of life. I genuinely love the outdoors and feel most at home when I can find an excuse to escape the city. Physical fitness is also an integral part of my life. This is an interest that I would like to have in common, as I'm happiest when I can incorporate exercise into my daily life and weekend activities. I tend to be a highly pragmatic, but I am deeply passionate about the things I find worthwhile.

I like to read, write, and think. I want to become a truly loving person and learn to trust God completely. I was forever changed by living in Japan for six years and I'm still contemplating the mystery of the humility and gratitude of the Japanese.

Hello, my name is Stefan and I'm passionate about my Catholic faith, tennis, and reading. Also, I'm very interested in politics, history, and government, as I majored in history and minored in government in college. I played division one tennis in college, and I've been ranked as high as #2 in the Pacific Northwest for Men's open singles. I'm currently employed full-time as a staff writer for St. Michael's Media, a Catholic apostolate out of Ferndale, Michigan. My long-term goal is to get involved in politics, and to hopefully run for office one day.

An European man for whom the word "Love" means a lot. Classical musician with an artistic soul down to earth. Well educated, well traveled, ambitious, independent, and little stubborn. Knowing what I want from live and step by step going to the goal. My close friends call me the old-fashioned man but with some modern upgrades :-) Being very happy of who I am does not stop me from improving myself. Let's dance and cook together and I will play my guitar and sing for you :-) __________________________ Golden thought: Honor, loyalty, faithfulness, respect, kindness, and sexual desire support love. Trust does not come straight away - it takes time and observation. A human being is created of two parts: physical and spiritual - and we have to develop both of them, just for healthy balance. __________________________ The list of things that I do or would love to do includes: 1)- Music activities (listening, studying, practicing, performing) 2)- Nature activities (hiking, biking, sailing, kayaking, horse riding, ...) 3)- Dancing (ballroom dance, social dance, partner dance - everything in pairs) 4)- Physical exercises (all but jogging/running) 5)- Intellectual/educated conversations about God and existence. 6)- Events (from black tie to T-shirt / from opera to camping) ___________________________________ If you are logical, you can write to - [take only the capital letters and put them together in lower case] - Dog Ark Rock Bell Art Snow Bear Astra Ring - now click the famous sign on your keyboard between 1 & 3 and add all capital letters from: Great Meal Always Is Liked (now click the key between comma & slash) and finish with capital letter from: Cat Omega Math :-)

Thanks, and best of luck to all in their searches. I have recently re-relocated back to Washington, DC after spending the past two and one-half years living in Savannah, helping take care of my niece and nephew in the wake of their parents' (my brother and his now-ex wife) divorce. Sadly the reason I have been able to come back to DC and resume my regularly scheduled life, already in progress, is because my father died in December 2014. In the aftermath of his death, my mother decided to relocate permanently to Savannah, freeing me up to return to DC. We are as a family still very much in trial-and-error mode, so if I need to return to Savannah as my mother ages, I will. But for the time being, I am grateful to be home. I love to cook and am really interested in "slow food" and the farm-to-table approach to eating. I took that for granted until recently -- I think people my age were among the last generation (in the West, anyway) to grow up eating real food. It has only been since I have started helping to raise my niece and nephew that my eyes have been open to the reality that most children today honestly have no idea what real food tastes like, or about the importance of shared meals. I also like exercising), hanging out with my dog,the performing arts, music, day trips, the beach, the mountains, the usual stuff. I am a serious reader, but a non-serious one too. The Summa is on my nightstand, but there's chick lit in the beach bag, too.

Hey there! It's not exactly easy to sum up myself in 150 characters, but I'm an outgoing, compassionate and quirky individual who is enjoys the simple things in life. I'm serious when need be and otherwise laid back...life is too short to be high strung.

Just a girl living in the DC world. Scratch that. I may live in DC, but my world is not the typical DC scene. I enjoy being somewhat of an outsider in one of the most interesting cities in the country. I love talking to people and getting new perspectives.
