Hi, I'm Matt. I'm a multifaceted guy. I am generally a pretty open-minded guy and have friends from many different walks of life. I like to do just about anything. For example, my weekend could easily encompass (in no particular order) Latin dancing, a movie, dinner with friends, a trip to the museum, Frisbee golf, church, watching a game and a trip to the target range). I will try just about anything at least once. I like to learn. I was raised a catholic as a child and as I have grown it is now a choice. I am one of the lucky ones when it comes to my family. I love them dearly. We are all pretty close. Mom and Dad are very happy together, (35 years), brother and sister (twins), and another younger brother. I am the oldest. The extended family is very close as well; Think "My Big Fat Greek Wedding," but done Portuguese style. My Polish side is also very close.

I would describe myself as a loving, generous and loyal person. As an Irish American, my family and friends are very important to me. I have seven beautiful God children, who bring a lot of joy to my life. My Catholic faith is a big part of my life and something I would like to share in a relationship. I also love to travel and experience other cultures. After grad school, I lived in several developing countries and have finally settled down in Washington, where I have been for over a decade now. I own a small business that allows me to combine the challenges of running a business with being able to work on poverty issues. It is nice to do something that I feel passionate about. In terms of sports, I like to ski. I also enjoy hiking and walking and have just started doing yoga.I love reading and ideas. I enjoy being challenged intellectually and I am open to learning and trying new things. I think I have a fairly wry sense of humor. I would like to meet someone who shares my faith and values and who enjoys life.

Me: I can't stand the beats/I'm asking for the check. You: The girl with crimson nails/has Jesus round your neck/Swinging to the music/Whoaa ... Us: We're at a place called Vertigo ... Enough U2 lyrics. I am a political reporter, am an ENTJ, and a realist and romantic at the same time. I like biking, hiking, canoeing, wrestling bears, live music, going to any sports event or book talk, and cooking meals. Well, six of those are true. I am divorced and have two young daughters whom I cherish.

I am a patient, compassionate and independent individual who desires to serve God, discern authentically, and help others to know dignity and love. Faith is an ongoing mystery and I wouldn't have it any other way; I still have much to learn, but I am on the journey and in it for the long haul. In my leisure time I enjoy writing, crafting, running and spending time with family and friends. I enjoy road trips and traveling. I love a good novel with excellent character development. I hope to never run out of classic movies to watch. "Never be in a hurry; do everything quietly and in a calm spirit. Do not lose your inner peace for anything whatsoever, even if your whole world seems upset." ~St. Francis de Sales

I'm a former Peace Corps volunteer turned Healthcare analyst. I've been back in the states for nearly a year now and I'm still trying to adjust to cold weather. 2 years in West Africa will do that to you. Personality wise, I'm an ISTJ. Pretty analytical. Introverted. Realistic. I'm also very service-oriented. My family has a long history of civil and military service, and I think it's important to continue that trend. I'm really happy to have a job I love that let's me use my skills to help people live healthier lives, albeit indirectly. As for my passions, I absolutely love martial arts. I practice Taekwondo at least three times a week, and often more than that. I also like to cook and find myself addicted to the Food Network. I tend to pick up random hobbies as things interest me. In my leisure time, when I'm not in my studio, I like to read and watch netflix. I love to go to the movies. I don't know what it is about it, but I love it.

Cat person, meat person, former Idahoan, writer, business owner, non-car owner, adventurer. Extroverted introvert. Yeah - it's a thing? I'm a whirlwind. Busy workaholic, passionate about business and learning and travel. I love movies, workout classes, dining out. I single handedly fund Uber during the humid months but love to walk when it's cooler. DC is finally growing on me. Spanish speaker. Cats. Books. Cold weather. Nights out and nights in. But mostly I want to get to know you. Tell me something interesting.
