Hi there. I'm a so-called "boomerang" DC resident as I left town for three years of law school, but recently returned to the area and thought Catholic Match would be a good way to meet some new people. Born and raised just outside Boston and one of six kids, I'm a big fan of camping, board games, politics, travel, history, and everything Boston sports (go Pats!). After undergrad, I worked in DC for four years- two as a first grade teacher (through Teach for America) and two at a legal think tank. And this past Fall, I returned to DC and to start work at a law firm. A cradle Catholic, I've gone through a bit of a conversion over the past few years, deepening my Catholic faith and taking its tenets (and blessings) seriously. I've been fortunate enough to work in Rome for several months and to take a pilgrimage to the Holy Land itself. I believe that a shared faith is essential in a relationship, and I hope to share my faith with any future girlfriends and with my eventual spouse.

Hello. My name is Alexander. I am currently a graduate student of statistics at American University, having recently graduated from AU studying mathematics, economics, and statistics. For the most part I like to take things in my life slow. Rushing is needlessly stressful, and to be honest is something hurriedly done worth doing. My faith is very important to me, and I am grateful to the Lord and His Holy Church for imparting light, grace, happiness, and hope. Accordingly, I realize that virtue is a very important goal for all men and women to attain. I try to live virtuously, and prefer the company of those who help me be virtuous. My hope is to help others live virtuously as well. Outside of my faith, I love video games. I am a big Nintendo fan. I wouldn't call myself an expert gamer, but instead a specialist. I generally have a few games that I like but I really like to delve into them. My favorites include Pokemon, Legend of Zelda, Fire Emblem, and Castlevania. I also like to learn about the general industry; studying sales numbers, learning about the culture, and perusing news about the industry. Further, I also like to read. I don't particularly have a preference in books.

What is there to say about me? I'm an old-fashioned guy who likes to have fun and try new things. I'm very outspoken and don't hesitate to say what I'm thinking ... This usually doesn't make for the best first impression, but people eventually come to find that I'm a pretty amicable guy. I have very strong opinions about many things, and respect other people who do, even if we disagree. I'm hoping to find someone who can hold their own and challenge me to be a better man. If you want to know more, don't hesitate to contact me!

Hello, my name is Stefan and I'm passionate about my Catholic faith, tennis, and reading. Also, I'm very interested in politics, history, and government, as I majored in history and minored in government in college. I played division one tennis in college, and I've been ranked as high as #2 in the Pacific Northwest for Men's open singles. I'm currently employed full-time as a staff writer for St. Michael's Media, a Catholic apostolate out of Ferndale, Michigan. My long-term goal is to get involved in politics, and to hopefully run for office one day.

Hello. I just recently moved to DC from Tennessee. I moved here for a job, my first job post graduate school. I am very excited about life right now. I was converted back to the Faith about seven years ago, and I still remember that Confession like it was yesterday. Like most converts/reverts I am a very passionate defender of the Church and her eternal truths. I love to learn about the world. History, science, philosophy, math, technology. I am interested in it all. There is so much to learn about the world we live in, and I am constantly amazed about how much I do not know. I am a very avid reader of novels. I try to stick to the "Great Books"; but, I am also a sucker for science fiction and fantasy novels. I also love the cinema. My tastes are similar for films. I try to watch 'artsy' films and the classics; but, I am also a sucker for spectacular action films where things go boom. I live in the Chevy Chase area of DC and will be working only a mile away. Since I just moved here I know next to nobody; but, I am enjoying the opportunity to meet new people. I sold my car when I decided to take the job up here, and it has been quite a change walking/biking/riding the bus instead of riding in my car everywhere. Much easier to stay in shape this way. My family live back in TN. We are pretty close family. My parents only had three children (two girls and I) of which I am the oldest. I played tennis competitively when I was young. I still enjoy to play although I have not found much time for it recently. I love coffee, any kind of competitive game (board, card, trivia, sports, etc), chocolate, ice cream, the Great Outdoors, and animals. I try not to be too earnest. I have a weakness for bad puns and quick witticisms. I love a good joke and I think making a joke about something is a good way to say things which might otherwise be awkward to talk about. I am also prone to randomly breaking out into song, making up new lyrics along the way. If I can combine a good song with a good joke I am in hog heaven.

I'm a political science major who enjoys reading, writing, and movies. I grew up very religious and care very deeply about my faith. I graduated in May of 2016. I also enjoy Broadway and various songs of various gneres. Beyond that, my greatest influences have been my parents, my faith, and the people (both fictional and non) that I've come across in my life that have taught me about the world (there's a long list so I couldn't put them all here). Overall, I'm up for just about anything in life and love to learn.

I am a pretty quiet, laid back guy. I like to go out sometimes, but I am the kind of person who likes to relax at home with a friend or two watching TV and making stupid jokes. I am very close to my parents and my sister, and we regularly make trips to see each other even though we're dispersed along the East Coast. I have a niece who is a toddler now, and is my favorite person in the world! I am currently a technical writer, but beginning an MS in Unmanned Systems with a focus in Spaceflight Operations. I eventually hope to work in spacecraft control rooms. I love space exploration and would love to live in a Mars colony one day (definitely open for negotiation). I already have an MA in Theology from CUA. I specialized in political theology and just war theory. I love watching and playing sports, especially soccer. I love movies and have a collection of more than 200. I enjoy showing people movies they haven't seen before.
