I I love to laugh! My favorite day is spent with family or friends. I exercise a few times a week, watch a bit of TV, always reading, going to the theatre (love Florida Studio Theatre in Sarasota), seeing a movie, finding a new restaurant or treasuring a favorite haunt, shopping antique and second hand stores for new and interesting additions to my home. I am loyal and honest, and will always give you a true answer.

I consider myself a very outgoing person that enjoys everyday living and fun. I want to laugh a lot with someone who enjoys the good things. I enjoy sports, movies, dancing, music and especially the outdoors be it beach or walking in a park. I have a lot to offer someone who wants the same out of life.

To describe oneself is difficult, at best, but here goes... I come from a large family; five siblings, where I share the "middle child" placement with my brother. We grew up in a traditional home, except that both my parents worked. That fact made my brothers and sisters and I very close, as we had to take care of each other. We truly were our own best friends. We were not wealthy, moneywise, but tremendously wealthy in love. I hate to sound so cliche, but we were a lot like the Waltons. Oh, we didn't go through the "Goodnight, John-Boy" stuff, but we never fought with each other. We were instilled with good morals and ethics. I have four children, all of whom are formally educated, independent, good, ethical kids. I'm very proud of all of them.... no black lipstick, nose rings, spiked hair or drugs. I consider myself to be fairly smart, fairly attractive and have a somewhat warped sense of humor. I've been lucky to have been thin all my life, with a bionic metabolism, but still try to stay in shape. I work out at the gym, and have just gotten into running. I don't eat fried foods, mayonnaise dressing or sweets, but do eat meat. I'm probably way too optimistic and trusting, but I do try to see the good in people. What am I looking for? Well, first of all, the eyes are the windows of the soul. Secondly, a great smile is worth a thousand words. You don't have to be "movie-star" good looking, but whether it is politcally correct or not, there has to be some attraction. We are all, men and women, visual beings. The consensus of opinion is that it is men who are visual, but truthfully, women are too. After, the initial attraction, I look for someone who is sincere, loves to laugh, is intellectual, but not too serious, and able to form a long lasting commitment. I want you to be my best friend, above all. Someone who can relax in a pair of ragged jeans and sweatshirt, or "dress-up" for the occasion; who takes pride in their appearance and is fit and active.I love the ocean; the color yellow (reminds me of sunshine) ; the smell of fresh coffee in the morning; beautiful sunsets; fishing; respectful teenagers; slow dancing; soft music; mens' cologne; children, and memories from childhood - like roller skates with keys. Do you remember those? I think some of the most important components of a relationship are honesty, communication and humor.

I like to meet people and am very interested in current events. I enjoy traveling and playing a fair amount of golf, as well as tinkering with my classic cars, and playing bridge. I mix my time now between Vermont & Florida, and enjoy exploring other areas of the country and world. I'm not particularly fond of big cities and in my travels prefer small towns and the country-side. I'm fairly adventureous....

Hello~~~ Being retired I find is a wonderful time of my life. I keep busy with volunteering at a Catholic School and a Homeless Shelter. As a prior educator and my love for cooking, both of the above activities are greatly enjoyed. I would be interested in a life companion, best friend, traveling, gardening, and all of the many aspects of social life and the quiet times. Raised in an Italian family, many hours were spent in the kitchen and playing cards, both of which I still enjoy. Working scrimmage, jumble, & word game in the paper & reading books help fill the hours of the days. I have traveled quite a bit, but know the rest of the world is waiting for me to explore and I am willing and waiting for someone to share all these wonders with me. Just recently returned from up North and enjoyed a snowfall!!. What a surprise that was as it has been 16 years since I played in the snow. I consider myself adventurous, always ready to try or learn something new. Let me know if you are interested in any of the above, one never knows what a new friendship will lead to! Not embarrassed to show affection, holding hands, special glances, hugging & kissing.

Having grown up on a farm in New York, I find myself enjoying gardening wherever I live. So when I'm not working in retail, I'm outside working on my gardens. Meeting people at work is always a pleasant experience-smiles can be contagious! Seeing different parts of the country has been truly a pleasure-even travelling around this state is very interesting!
