77, Meridian, IDI taught in the field of English at a public university for over 20 years, occasionally editing in the social sciences. I kept very busy then and continue now to do some writing and volunteering but have more leisure time and have a variety of interests and friends. It would be nice to meet someone with similar education and interests to become acquainted with and to share ideas with. I travel to Oregon at least twice a year or more to visit children and grandchildren. My children say that I am kind and caring as well as have a good sense of humor. I enjoy music, plays, dancing, poetry, reading, walking, sewing, cooking and conversation. In the sixties I spent some time in Washington, D.C., working in a congressional office and taught in Denver and in California. Currently I work for an archaeologist editing reports and am engaged in revising a memoir. My two daughters attained master's degrees and my son is continuing to pursue his education. Their father was a Vietnam veteran who returned to the Far East for twenty-some years before returning to the States and being diagnosed with PTSD. As a Catholic in a primarily non-Catholic environment I was given opportunities to witness to my faith and to actually thereby strengthen it. For example, I was working in a scientific environment where evolutionary theory had, unfortunately and unnecessarily, resulted in persons losing their religious faith.Currently I am active in a St. Vincent Re-entry conference which assists ex-inmates. I also am an advocate for persons with brain disorders and subscribe to the tenets of Al-Anon. We (son and I) have just returned from a week's visit in Portland to celebrate my grandson's 10th birthday. We also visited the coast--at Cannon Beach, a favorite place.. My parents were originally from South Dakota; Dad was drafted into WWII after we arrived in Idaho and my mother went back to teaching to support the three of us children for the two years Dad was in the Navy. One summer I travelled to Chicago to participate in a Notre Dame research study that involved interviewing inhabitants of a mixed Polish, Southern White, and Puerto Rican neighborhood. Our acreage now is in a quiet older subdivision with pasturing of horses; it is becoming too much work for us to maintain although the trees are especially valuable. While residing in Meridian, I have two married daughters, one who lives in Seattle and the other in Portland. As such, I'm willing to move to another city.

29, Sandpoint, IDHi I'm Ian and welcome to my profile. I really enjoy the outdoors. As an outdoor enthusiast and adventure seeker, I enjoy going out hiking, riding trails on my mountain bike, camping, frisbee golfing, photography, swimming, skiing, and recreational shooting. Indoors are great too, I enjoy watching movies and playing board games. I also love to travel and road trip to new places i haven't been to, especially U.S national parks and places of natural beauty. To describe myself, I would say I'm a pretty friendly and nice fellow. I'm definitely a nerd at heart. I treat most people with respect as long as I receive the same respect back. Vocally, I'm probably more on the quiet side, but in the right company I can engage in conversation and joke around. I really look forward to finding a spouse and having children. Some day I would love to settle down in the country and enjoy the simple things in life. I could see myself getting into gardening and learning to grow fruits and vegetables. Maybe get some animals like chickens, goats, and/or horses. Have faith in God and make dreams become reality.

50, Caldwell, IDOk.....ive been on here for around 6 months and I've heard from ......6 women.....this is getting oodles beyond frustrating......laissez-moi faire quelque explication....(N.B....I have a working knowledge of 7 languages....) I lived and studied abroad for years and am a polyglot & multi cultural...I've been on a number of single sites for years and years....some activity internationally but zero within the US....now don't get me wrong I'm completely willing and able to travel & make a life in Singapore or Nairobi.....but I cannot believe that there is not one single Catholic woman in the United States or Canada or all of South/&CentralAmerica that's interested in moi meme i.e. yours truly......humbly I list my attributes: (remember St. Threse said 'humility is the truth'....).....well the truth of me is that I gave up 6 years of my life....my sexual prime... years 19 to 24.....to live a celebate lifestyle serving God as a religious.....& according to another axiom.......one never ever appreciates something until one no longer has it......I refer to conubial felicity and the upbringing of off-spring.....so who seriously could you meet who would appreciate more these things than I can.....(I'm just saying.....) ......I joined God's Delta Force....and managed to survive there 6 years. So I ask myself.....Hmmmm....I've been on here for months & months & months......and months.....I'm not too bad to look at, I think I can arguably opine.....I'm exceedingly talented.....I sang opera in high school.....I oil painted in 4th grade and in that year was bumped up to a high school level art class in a gifted and special child program....Ive read more non-fiction books last month than most people read in a year...and yeeeeet........no one contacts me here......que damage! Qu' est qu' c'est le problem?? Cecilia Pigg.....do you have any smart, single female friends who would appreciate and want to meet and possibly pursue a relationship with a one in a million.......ok kinda high.....saaay.....a 1 in 100,000 type person?
