Like being with family and friends doing a project or just sitting and talking. I like to go fishing where I can sit by the river or lake and just enjoy the day whether I catch anything or not. I'm a good listener and like to talk. I believe in being honest and caring and living my life that way. I am proud to be a catholic and like talking to good solid priests. I love challenges. I believe in myself and trust my decisions. I have accomplished a tremendous amount of good in my life but in no way think that I've done what I need. I am altruistic but willing to define boundaries and accept other's boundaries. I am an achiever. I have a witty sense of humor and enjoy making others laugh. I can laugh at myself. I am a very loyal person and believe that trust and integrity are core to having a rewarding life. Everyone I meet starts with 100% of my respect when we meet. Their actions and words are the only things that subtract from my opinion. I try to see the good in everyone. You can find me at events outside ranging from social gatherings involving horses, motorcycles, arts and music. I have a curious soul. I enjoy learning. I watch the Discovery, Animal, Military, SciFi, Travel, NetGeo and news channels primarily. I have been considered a champion for the underdog. Always willing to lend a helping hand. Sometimes my generosity has been a weakness but then I believe in every strength there is a weakness and in every weakness there is a strength. I have lived in Japan. Have traveled throughout Africa, Europe and the middle-east. I've covered just about all of the contiguous 48 and have been to both Alaska and Hawaii. I believe God has finally told me what I need to be when I grow up (not sure if Ill ever do that). God has given me opportunities in my life that have molded me into a unique individual. I have listened and He has told me that he wants me to become a clinical social worker. By telling me, I mean that He has given me the wisdom to look at my life introspectively and learn that I am here to serve others through therapy. I work with at-risk people now. I am attending Boise State University full time to achieve a Masters in Social Work. My goal is to have a facility that operates with the EAGALA horse/human therapy model. What a wonderful way to live life; using horses to help people heal. If you havent guessed yet, Im in no way intending to slow down anytime soon. There are a lot of people that need help and I have a lot of work to do. I am totally committed to doing Gods Will. With me you will laugh and learn, I guarantee it!!! But wait! That's not all! If you call within the next five minutes I'll throw in a lifetime supply of friendship with unending affection, support and love, a priceless value for free!

First, Merry Christmas, I know for us single Catholics it would be nice to be sharing it with a significant other of the Catholic faith. But hopefully like myself I do have a close family, actually all but one lives in Boise now. So if God willing perhaps next Christmas that part of my life may change. Demographically Idaho is only 11% Catholic therefore meeting a single Catholic has found me looking in other states and to me that is no difficult a hurdle. When I see and read someone's profile I feel over time a serious relationship might be the right one, I will send a note and favorite them to let them know I am interested. So should some lady feel the same to want to start a dialogue then please do. In my leisure time like everyone else I must keep my home and yard clean and presentable. I take my collie on a couple walks a day and since the foothills are basically out my front door it makes for a walk with a view. My parents were hard workers, my dad passed when I was young from injuries firefighting and my mom just this yr at 92.

I taught in the field of English at a public university for over 20 years, occasionally editing in the social sciences. I kept very busy then and continue now to do some writing and volunteering but have more leisure time and have a variety of interests and friends. It would be nice to meet someone with similar education and interests to become acquainted with and to share ideas with. I travel to Oregon at least twice a year or more to visit children and grandchildren. My children say that I am kind and caring as well as have a good sense of humor. I enjoy music, plays, dancing, poetry, reading, walking, sewing, cooking and conversation. In the sixties I spent some time in Washington, D.C., working in a congressional office and taught in Denver and in California. Currently I work for an archaeologist editing reports and am engaged in revising a memoir. My two daughters attained master's degrees and my son is continuing to pursue his education. Their father was a Vietnam veteran who returned to the Far East for twenty-some years before returning to the States and being diagnosed with PTSD. As a Catholic in a primarily non-Catholic environment I was given opportunities to witness to my faith and to actually thereby strengthen it. For example, I was working in a scientific environment where evolutionary theory had, unfortunately and unnecessarily, resulted in persons losing their religious faith.Currently I am active in a St. Vincent Re-entry conference which assists ex-inmates. I also am an advocate for persons with brain disorders and subscribe to the tenets of Al-Anon. We (son and I) have just returned from a week's visit in Portland to celebrate my grandson's 10th birthday. We also visited the coast--at Cannon Beach, a favorite place.. My parents were originally from South Dakota; Dad was drafted into WWII after we arrived in Idaho and my mother went back to teaching to support the three of us children for the two years Dad was in the Navy. One summer I travelled to Chicago to participate in a Notre Dame research study that involved interviewing inhabitants of a mixed Polish, Southern White, and Puerto Rican neighborhood. Our acreage now is in a quiet older subdivision with pasturing of horses; it is becoming too much work for us to maintain although the trees are especially valuable. While residing in Meridian, I have two married daughters, one who lives in Seattle and the other in Portland. As such, I'm willing to move to another city.

I love music and working with my hands. I like to laugh, and to hear others laugh. I love my Lord and my faith. I try to look at life as it should be rather than as it is. I have a music ministry at two parishes, ( Youth Mass; Praise and Worship Music with the youth group at St. Mary's), and Music minister/director at Sacred Heart ( on the Nez Perce Indian reservation.) I also go on missions whenever I can. I have been to Guatemala and Mexico and will be going to Haiti in the near future.

My passions are opportunities in meeting new people especially young adults and learning. My work job serves the young adult community in Idaho and learning is about being a student at BSU. I love being outdoors and taking long walks to clear all the stuff out of my head after a long day at work. I'm interested in meeting someone who likes the outdoors too and is willing to share their favorite pastimes with me. I don't have specific activities that I can claim as my own but I'm open to new experiences. I'm looking for a person who is not afraid to share their feelings and communicates well. Someone who knows there innerself well. Someone who knows how to say, "I'm sorry." And someone, who likes coffee, wine/beer, music, reading, movies, day trips, etc.. So, this is a little about me. Looking forward to hearing about you!

This part is tricky,as I became a widow about three years ago. It was tragic and unexpected. The me before is the same in character and faith, but I am still trying to as they say," Find a new normal." I enjoy music, dancing, reading, rafting, swimming, travel, especially crusing, playing board games, cards, movies, dining, fine wine and a good vodka and tonic. I have many other interests, teaching bible studies, coloring, political junkie, amusement parts, exploring new places, meeting people and having intelligent conversations. I used to be very extroverted, but that has changed somewhat. I tend to be goal oriented, and I have been blessed with many gifts. I am currently writing a book. I have had many life experiences that I weave into jaw dropping, belly laughing stories. I am active in mind, body and spirit. My sense of humor is sarcastic, but not at the expense of others. I enjoy watching various sports and attending sporting events. I respect all people, except for haters, for them I pray. I am strong, yet fragile. I am fairly self sufficient. What I can't handle,God does. I enjoy volunteering in many arenas. I believe God created us for connection. We are meant to love and be loved by God and one another. We are also to enjoy our time here on Earth. Thanks for reading, maybe we will meet, but if not I will see you in heaven. Blessings

Only been in North Idaho for 3+ years, after retirement as construction project manager in Omaha, NE moved to CDA to be closer to family. I have always been active and recently joined the Kroc Center. I love most sports but now limited to playing golf but am an avid fan of baseball, football, and basketball and like to attend local high school games. I want to find someone to help me explore North Idaho as I love the naturalness of the area and its history. Important people in my life include my mother and my grandmother, both very strong women and two different business owners that I work for as they taught me the value of hard work and honesty. Growing up I was the oldest of 3 boys and one girl. We were of Irish and German descent and were a working class family. I was a paperboy and loved sports and participated in whatever season it was. I was a particularly good baseball player but hurt my arm as a sophomore and it ended my dreams. I started college after high school studying accounting but then join the Navy for 4 years. After the Navy I went back to school and studied construction technology and received a associates degree and started working in the construction business for the rest of my working life. I attended college part-time at nights and received my bachlors degree at age 50. As far a travelling I saw a lot of places while in the Navy like the east and west costs, Hawaii, and Japan. I travelled to Germany for a vacation to see my sister that lived there at the time, and then there were family trips to Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma (the Midwest family thing).
