45, Chicago, ILTired of the usual troop of snake oil salesmen trolling the local bars? You know the type: rude, obnoxious, a little dim upstairs, and stinking of way too much cologne. After a few lame openers followed by some awkwardly moronic banter you discover all of them put together are not worth the $5 cover you paid to get in. Imagine a different experience: it's a quiet Thursday evening at a very nice local eatery (four stars on Yelp), table for two dimly lit by a flickering candle. The nocturnal quiet is broken by the soothing sounds of cool jazz, hysterical laughter, and stimulating conversations. Amazed, you discover you're having a wonderful time with a companion who is exciting, a bit mysterious, extremely charming, and goes to Mass every Sunday. Is this too good to be true? I am searching for something real too... A little about me: single professional guy, practicing Catholic, smart, extroverted, creative, cultured, and intellectually curious. Blessed with a quick wit, I am a big fan of sarcastic banter and really enjoy stimulating conversations. Working in Human Resources definitely keeps me on my toes, however I do make time for relaxing with friends and family. I also love to cook and watch culinary shows like Masterchef and Chopped. I will cook you an Italian dinner that will make you want to kiss me. The only problem? You will have such strong garlic breath that I might not want to kiss you!
35, Chicago, ILThanks for viewing my profile. I have lived in the Chicago area for 20 years, but grew up in Connecticut. I graduated from The University of Iowa and since then I have worked at a large advertising agency in downtown Chicago. I am active in several Catholic conservative young adult groups and in pro-life activities here in Illinois . I come from a big family (middle of five children) and I am a loving Aunt and Godmother to my 2 beautiful nieces and my adorable nephew. I also have a great group of friends that I enjoy spending time with. We enjoy going out to dinner, seeing a show, or going out dancing which is a passion of mine. I enjoy the outdoors and love sightseeing. I also enjoy watching and playing sports. I played basketball, soccer and lax in school and love to watch sports on TV or in person. It's great to be able to go to a game in Chicago when I get the chance. My favorite teams in the NFL are the NY Giants and the New England Patriots. I also like to follow college football, and am a big Hawkeye fan.Two older brothers are Notre Dame, Northwestern and Univ.of Va. alumna so as a family we are fans of college football across the board. I love adventure and the ability to travel and see as much of the world as I can, but I think my greatest desire is to be the holiest wife and mother I can be!
38, Hoffman Estates, IL(I assure you, this section would be far more interesting told in person) First and foremost are my kids...they make me laugh, they make me cry, and occasionally they make me bang my head against the wall in abject frustration. But in the end, they're my kids and I love them utterly and completely. My mom and dad were and continue to be great influences on my life. Their endless sacrifice for their kids, coupled with a perseverance in their marriage that is rarely seen today (about which I have some first-hand experience) make them role models par excellence. When I'm not spending time with the kiddos, I enjoy playing tennis, exploring Chicago, cooking/baking, and playing board games. Now if you didn't immediately back out of my profile after reading the phrase "board games," please allow me to explain. Though I like typical American style board games (Monopoly, Risk), these are not the types of games my buddies and I play. Instead we play European style games that put a premium on skill and strategy rather than on luck. Did I make "board games" sound less nerdy? I didn't think so...
29, Chicago, ILI was raised in Michigan and moved to Chicago about 3 years ago for my career. Some things I'm passionate about are Food, specially French Fries, Coffee, Clothes, Smiling, Laughing, Friendship, Shiny Things, Purple, Violin, Owls, Tea, Classic Literature, Whiskey, Wine, Beer. In a nutshell, I love learning new things and meeting people. Life is too short to forego opportunities. My grandma is a beacon of light and source of guidance in my life. She actively encourages me to practice my violin and tells the best stories about how she met my grandfather.
23, Homer Glen, ILFaith and family are most important in life, but if you're on this site that's probably a given. I'm majoring in history and political science for law. I enjoy exploring new places, reading, movies, music, playing guitar, boxing, and Potbelly's. I enjoy what most people in the world seem to. I have taken two years of Japanese and one of Italian (though both are embarrassingly rusty). I am looking for a woman who can sharpen my faith and vice versa, keep me on my toes... Now enough of that, let's chat :)
25, Hoffman Estates, ILI just moved back to Illinois after more than a decade in Virginia! I'm excited to be back. I'm a big fan of reality. I've been told I'm a good listener. I'm analytical and try to be practical whenever it's appropriate, which I used to think was always. I try to be open to whatever God sends my way, whether good, bad or ugly. I value honesty very highly. I used to work at Starbucks and knew more than a hundred customers' names and/or drinks. That was fun. I used to work in a physics lab in a basement where I might not have human contact all day. That was fun. For years now I've worked 80-100 hours a week, so I'm a hard worker. I haven't had an easy life, but who has? Jesus said a lot of things, but He never claimed the Way of the Cross was convenient. :) I've learned a lot of things about the faith and the world lately, and the more I know about how God and the world work, the more I can deal with my own problems. The better I get, the more I can help other people. Then they can help me more! It's a beautiful cycle. As for general bio info: *I'm 25, no health issues *currently run my company selling children's toys with my older brother. That's fun (and profitable) *and I'm sitting on a mostly unused double major in physics and math from George Mason University. I believe an article I helped with is going to be printed soon in a physics journal you've never heard of. :) Send me a message! I think most of us are here for the same reason, so there's no reason to be shy!

36, Chicago, ILHello I am Charles. American born and raised in Cameroon. Faith has always been a very important part of my life. I grew up surrounded by Priests and religious people at school and in my Family, but I always kept a keen interest in the World, thus my passion for business, volunteerism, sport, music, public speaking...... I believe God is everywhere within us and around us as long as we are willing to listen to Him and do everything for Him and by Him. I pray God to find the One who fear Him and give me the Grace to be another face of Christ for her. But it starts with a simple conversation. So let s talk .....inbox please.....
26, Lansing, ILI have a strong work ethic and a commitment to God. I look forward to completing my engineering degree so that I can start a family. The most influential people in my life are my parents. My father influenced my interest in engineering, and my mother helped to give me the perspective that caused me to be the catholic that I am today. When I am not working or studying, I enjoy talking to my friends, relaxing at home, or going out and doing something fun. I like to go to the gym upon occasion for weight training. I don't really play competitive sports, but I like to skate, bike, and swim.

54, Glenview, ILLife and love seems to be the highest value. Meeting right people in right time and place - is luck. ability to recognize them - is more then luck. I hope I will get there at some point and I will not be blind. Meeting a soulmate must be a grate thing (never happened to me when it comes to opposite sex ). Meeting a person from another pole is more of a challenge. Ever or may work great as long as there is chemistry in between. Honesty and ability to trust are fundamental. John Paul the second was a great propagator of those values. He was great traveler too. It is sad, that the word shrinks for those who love to travel, but I hope to continue to discover the word. I would love to get back on the trail in Peru again, I would love to be in Venice in Doge's Palace during the carnival or to be a part of culinary trip. Active life stile is definitely my preference. To be in cold climate - not much of my thing unless skiing. I enjoy theater, opera, healthy food,I love to dance. I wish I could spend more time with my wonderful son.
