One thing that I'm really passionate about is doing my absolute best to live a healthy lifestyle. One of the things I look forward to the most is a balance of relaxing over the weekend, as well as, spending time with friends and family. Experiences, such as giving back to the community, and my parents, have really been inflential in my life.

I'm a lifetime learner and like to search for new ideas to think about and that change the way I see the world. I enjoy my work and believe in the mission of my nonprofit and also volunteer for Catholic Charities and the boy scouts. I'm hoping to meet someone who has a good heart and is curious about the world.

I am passionate about 1) Attending Mass each week and the ministries (Usher, Greeter and Eucharistic Minister) for which I volunteer. 2) My family: all 17 kids, 25 grandkids and 8 great grand kids. I enjoy being with them for all of the various family gatherings. 3) My vegetable garden and maintaining a nice yard for both the neighbors and myself. 4) The Knights of Columbus, I have been an officer since the day I joined 15 years ago. In 2016, I served on 40 Honor Guards. The most influential person in my life was my wife. We celebrated 50 years of marriage prior to her death in January 2011. I loved her a little more each day from the moment I first saw her. She was the joy of my life. She challenged me to be better and to do more. She supported me in all of our endeavors. We were there for each other in good times and those not so good. One desire of mine is to make other people smile, even strangers. I enjoy giving and receiving hugs. It is an important part of my social life. I am an excessive volunteer with an average of 30 hours per week. I want to remarry. But only the right woman.

Well... here goes! I've been divorced for a bit over three years (with annulment), and am in a really good place right now. A bit about me.... my top priority in life is my faith. It means everything to me. It's been a constant in my life, and I continue to pray that I reflect Christ more in my day to day life. No easy task! Next, my kids. I have two amazing girls (10 and 12), and time with them is so valuable to me. Finally, I value my friendships, and enjoy spending time getting together. So what am I like? I feel blessed - great family, good friends, a job I truly love, a good home... I believe I am genuinely a "good guy", with a strong sense of who I am, and what is important to me. I can be both serious and silly, enjoying both deep conversations as well as silly banter back and forth (if you can handle it!). I laugh easily at myself, and have no problem saying "I'm sorry". I do have a romantic side, and absolutely love to give and receive affection. I enjoy a night out, but don't feel like I always have to be doing something. I need that downtime occasionally to recharge... a simple evening of watching a movie together, lying with each other by the fireplace, talking on the deck, grilling out, watching sports (had to throw that in!), or taking a walk while holding hands sounds perfect. What else? I love sports, and I listen to way too much sports radio :) I also enjoy being active (softball, tennis, skiing) and absolutely love being outside in nature (campfires, hiking, long walks, biking, gardening). My favorite state is Colorado as I love the mountains! Hobbies include photography, movies, fitness, live bands, and reading. I know after a while all these words in everyone's profile start sounding the same. I believe, though, that the thing that unites us all here is that deep desire to find true love. I know that's what I'm here for...
  • Nick, 26 from Springfield, IL

Hey, I'm Nick. I'm an easy-going guy working in Springfield after graduating from NIU a few years ago. I enjoy running, fishing, camping, and watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball. I am passionately pro-life, and a member of Life Runners, a national pro-life running organization. I've ran all sorts of races including one full marathon, and three halfs. I'm also on a softball team in Springfield. I strive to do the Lord's will in every aspect of my life and am so thankful for the gift of faith! I love hearing other peoples' stories! What's yours?

Cooking is my number 1 passion and would love to try different types of cuisines. I enjoy watching ball games, watch concerts and live bands, plays, theaters and broadways. I also enjoy camping, picnic and some other outdoor activities on summer time. I enjoy baking when I feel bored at home.
  • Rachel, 42 from West Chicago, IL

Hi! First and foremost I am a mother to a beautiful daughter, she is the light of my life! I am passionate about life in general really, it is truly a gift to be on this earth. I consider myself a compassionate and kind person, and really enjoy seeing this quality in others too. A sense of humor, and the ability to find joy in both the little and big things in life is important to me. I love music, dancing and the outdoors. I would love to take my daughter to all of the U.S. national parks, that would be a great adventure to share with the right man.
  • Robin, 44 from Chicago, IL
    44, Chicago, IL
Hi, my name is Robin and I have been described as sweet, patient, quiet, yet outgoing. I am friendly and can talk to anybody. I would like to meet people with the same interests as me. Friends first. I work with high school students who are trying to get their diploma. These students have rough lives and are also trying to better themselves. I find my job very fulfilling. I am looking for a man with a good heart, a nice guy who is understanding about my imperfections and accepts me anyway as I do him. Everything starts as friends. If friendship leads to more, praise God. I am open if the relationship leads that way, but am happy with just companionship. Marriage is a huge commitment that both parties would need to be ready for.

I guess I can best describe myself as an even keel person. I don't get to high or low about anything. At times I have been described as a mean person since I sometimes don't have a filter and I really don't like to beat around the bush. My family is a very important part of my life and they do have an influence in the choices I make. I was not born in the U.S. but came here when I was a kid. At times I have found it very difficult to mesh how I was raised with the culture here in the U.S. The way I see it, when push comes to shove, I stick with how I was raised.

  • Gina, 35 from Melrose Park, IL

"He must increase and I must decrease." I am a late bloomer in some life events, including dating and romantic relationships. I believe it is important to develop a foundation of friendship. All that fun stuff we can discuss together if we have the opportunity. My faith is my life. My life is centered around God, around Christ, the Blessed Mother, around ever growing, ever improving. I am not a perfect person. Everyone has dark spots, which I do, but I have a ton of light to share. A ton of love to give. I am a happy person. I am told I am funny, fun to be around, sweet, understanding and loving. I love to laugh and make others laugh. Humor is important to me. Oh, and I am a singer. My voice effects people in a positive way. It helps me express myself, glorify God and let people feel and release their emotions. My voice, like my entire being, is something I am constantly working to grow and improve, only to share and be an instrument of God's love, God's peace. I love my family, my friends. They are very important to me. But I work every day to treat EVERY SOUL with respect. I am not perfect, but I try to be better each day. I have such a heart's desire to share my faith and life journey with a man with like morals/beliefs, in the sacrament of holy matrimony. I want to be part of a special partnership, friendship and have that special romantic love. I ask God to take the desire away if it is not in His will, but for now it remains. Ultimately, I want to do God's will. I want to be LOVE for all those I encounter, and of course laugh a lot along the way. :) God bless you all and stay close to Christ and the Blessed Mother. :) Edit
  • Ana, 34 from Chicago, IL
    34, Chicago, IL
I'm an optimistic, affectionate person. I love music, watching sports, travelling, walks around the city, dancing -although I might not be too good but I enjoy it, especially Flamenco. I enjoy good food and drinks, but for me it is also about the company so I enjoy being around my friends. I am a loyal person and God has blessed me with amazing people in my life, so my friends are very important to me. I have a great job that I enjoy a lot, that can keep me busy sometimes but my motto is "Work hard, play hard" so I try to stick to that. I was not born in the U.S and my family lives abroad, but I do keep in touch and they are also very important part of my life. I grew up in a Catholic environment and Catholicism is also a huge part of me. I attended a Catholic school until the 10th grade and that defined me as a person (also with the influence of my Grandparents, I must say). Now, a list of words that would relate to me (not in a specific order): Headphones, planes, plans, dedication, trustworthy, wine, cheese, beer, dance, beach, Church, walks, Spain, sports, friends. My best wishes to you and thank you for stopping by :)
