27, South Elgin, ILCreativity is my lifeblood. I love making things and making things over. I'm into sewing, scrapbooking, card making, jewelry making, baking, cooking, etc. I just love using the many gifts and talents the Lord has blessed me with! I have lived in eight states. I like to travel, but I'd love some stability in my life. I love to read, watch tv, movies, and musicals. I love to listen to music and to sing. I'm the oldest in my family, but I'm the shortest and it still bugs me sometimes. I'm looking forward to getting married and having kids, but I won't mind waiting on God's perfect timing. Life is pretty simple right now, but I know that my family will be there for me when things start to get difficult. I'm a quiet girl who gets along with just about everyone, but I won't let anyone push me around. I love life and I hope you do too!!
78, Hampshire, ILI am passionate about 1) Attending Mass each week and the ministries (Usher, Greeter and Eucharistic Minister) for which I volunteer. 2) My family: all 17 kids, 25 grandkids and 7 great grand kids. I enjoy being with them for all of the various family gatherings. 3) My vegetable garden and maintaining a nice yard for both the neighbors and myself. 4) The Knights of Columbus, I have been an officer since the day I joined 13 years ago. In 2014, I served on 34 Honor Guards. The most influential person in my life was my wife. We celebrated 50 years of marriage prior to her death in January 2011. I loved her a little more each day from the moment I first saw her. She was the joy of my life. She challenged me to be better and to do more. She supported me in all of our endeavors. We were there for each other in good times and those not so good. One desire of mine is to make other people smile, even strangers. I enjoy giving and receiving hugs. It is an important part of my social life. I am an excessive volunteer with an average of 25 hours per week. I want to remarry.
20, Cortland, ILI'll be mysterious and say that if you want to know about me, you'll have to ask! Just kidding, I'm just really terrible about thinking of what to say about myself. So really, anything you'd like to know, don't be shy!
52, South Elgin, ILIm an intense and passionate man. I work hard, play hard, and love deeply. I like to live life in "full color" and I give of myself willingly to those I care about. I enjoy many activities and interests. Among them are music of all kinds. I like pretty much anything from blues to metal to country to classical. The only thing I wont listen to is rap. I love live music and comedy shows. I enjoy weight lifting, hiking, shooting sports, fishing,Jeep expeditions, and pretty much anything outdoors, I like baseball games (Go Go Sox!!) and Bears football. I strive to be a renaissance man and pride myself on being well rounded and balanced. I can be equally comfortable in a suit and tie or shorts and a tee shirt. I have two great kids and a good career. All I lack is a partner and best friend to share it all with :-)
38, Aurora, ILHello beautiful! There are so many great looking ladies here on CM, and you're one of them! I just wanted to let you know. Sometimes I'm in the chat room -- look for me there! Also look for me at Catholic activities in the western suburbs. And, I don't mind if you message me first! So about me. I'm a very kind, caring, and generous person with great listening skills and witty humor. I'm generally reserved, so sometimes it is hard to come out of my shell -- I usually like to meet people first in a social situation. I try to find some Catholic social groups in the area (Theology on Tap, Spirit and Truth, and some other church affiliated groups). However, once I get to know you, my sarcastic side can really pop out and get people rolling on the ground - depending on how easily amused you can be. I was generally a social outcast during my formative years, to which I decided to "tune out". I don't follow societal trends/TV/Movies/reality shows. I do follow politics, as many policy decisions have a bearing on my life and the life we are supposed to live as good Catholics. BTW, I somehow found "Ron Paul" listed as a "Reading" subject. I don't follow Ron Paul or his literature, but I thought the fact that the entry exists on CM was amusing enough to include on the profile.
58, Rockford, ILI am enjoying each day as it comes. Nothing is more important to me than my family and my faith. I learned to lean on and love my faith to get me through the tough times and appreciate the good times. It also taught me the importance of marriage and family life and how important a father is in a childs life. The older I get the more I realize how selfless my parents were in raising me and my ten siblings. They also are a great example of unconditional love til death do us part. Now that my children are raised I have begun to sew and quilt again. I am more aware of the need for exercise. My favorite activity is long walks, especially along a river or lake.Reading is something I enjoy doing. The book can be fiction or nonfiction just as long as it holds my attention. I do enjoy a good movie. The movies written and directed by Alex and Stephen Kendrix have recently been my favorites. I also enjoy a good comedy.
22, South Beloit, ILSome of my favorite things to do are traveling, boating, fishing, hanging out with family and friends, sports games, being spontaneous, and just enjoying life in general. My faith is very important to me and has formed me into the man I am today.
82, Cary, ILI look forward to travel. I like computers. I like going and watching movies. Taking short trips and seating be the water watching the boats. I like to take walks.
74, Elburn, ILExercise, rest, travel, visit children/grandchildren and of course the internet. I simply wonder how we lived without the internet for so many years. And yes, there was what was called DARPANET and INSTANET but ease-of-use, forget it. It took forever to learn how to use the system. I am an inventor, AUTHOR, father of 3 children and grandfather of four-of-a-kind, all girls.
23, Batavia, ILI am passionate about so many things. First and foremost, my two ultimate loves are my family and my faith. I am the oldest of nine children, and my favorite thing to do in the world is to read and tell stories to Joseph, my youngest sibling and my god-son. I love reading aloud to my brothers, sisters, and parents from the stories I write. If I lost everything in this world that was precious to me, still I would not be alone, for my greatest love can not be ripped from my side. My greatest love has always been beside me, strengthening me, and even if I were ultimately and inconsolably miserable on this earth, I should be happy in the promise of his company for eternity. I awaken every day with a prayer to Christ that I will love him better at every moment, and that he will use everything that I am for his own ends. I love Writing -- well, I love stories, and writing is my favorite medium for telling them. I like a quiet evening with a movie or game, but with some occasional craziness thrown into life to make it more interesting. If I had the option between going out for a large party or staying in with a few, intimate friends, I would choose the latter. I always go for tea over coffee, for beer over wine, and wine over a margarita. I will do an occasional hard drink: my favorite so far is Tequila. I love all colors except the weird reddish-orangey one, but my favorite is purple. I have yet to find a category of book (unless it is a self-help book) that I don't like. I can get completely lost in anything from Plato to Dickens, from Tennyson to Grimm. I mostly live at the library. I am fiercely loyal and caring, and my friends describe me as kind.
58, Prophetstown, ILI'm just getting started at this. I'll write more later when I have more time. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, though sometimes being alone is alright.
50, Elburn, ILI'm learning to play the cello, and I'm slowly getting better (or not as bad) over time. I also like to learn languages, and I've been studying French and German with some computer programs.
