I am a fun loving guy who has a good attitude about life. I am positive, upbeat and full of energy. I love to do things, be it small or somewhat exciting. I am VERY FLEXIBLE and can blend in with almost anything. I love to laugh and make people laugh. I'm a bit religious, but not overboard at all. I love to help people and I tend to be open minded about the unfortunate. I love to travel and almost anywhere. I'm a bit romantic and sure love being around a good wholesome minded lady. I love to cook and I am a good person and will treat everyone with respect. I think I'm a good catch for the right person and will treat them very well. All it takes is one meeting of your choice to just talk a bit and find out who I really am. But if I'm not your guy......Good Luck in your Search and just be careful. bye bill

I lost my wife to breast cancer in March of 2009 after 34+ years of marriage, so I am a widower. I am a polish kid that comes from the south side of Chicago.I went to St. Michael grade school on 83rd and South Shore Drive. Like many of my male peers, I ended up in Vietnam. I managed to survive that experience and I am alive and well living in Batavia, IL. I am a retired telecom engineer and a hopeless geek with a capital G. I have a son who is an processor engineer with Apple Computer in Austin TX.. He presently has 10 microprocessors that he designed floating some where in space from his work in the Physics department at the University of Iowa. My late wife and I were guardians to my nephew Micheal. He is the son of my late sister Nancy. He is presently a software engineer working at the Cerner Corp. in Kansas city, Kansas. He is an up and coming shining star. I am equally proud of him. I like to grow my beard longer during the Christmas season. It is amazing what happens when I look down on a child acting badly in a store and say one magic word "naughty". I have great neighbors and I always make an effort to stop and chat with them every chance I get. I like to watch cooking shows and listen to music. I am adventurous, I like to try new things. I also like to garden. I plant a vegetable garden every year and end up giving away a fair portion of my crop. I have also learned how to bake some kick butt artisan bread. When I was in the Army I held the highest security clearance one could hold. That coupled with the fact that I am engineer, makes me painfully honest at times. So don't ask me a question that you do not want answered honestly.

Im looking for somebody to take my hand and see what kind of adventures we can find. I'm just an average super dad trying to keep all the balls in the air and have a good time when I can. I love family time, enjoying a good story, and traveling to new or favorite places. I am educated, hardworking, loyal, passionate about the things and people I love. Family is very important to me and I am looking for someone like-minded. I love children, most especially my little girl. She has taught me so many things about life, love and myself.

I am passionate about my job. I work at a Firestone working on cars. What I look forward to the most is hang out with my friends, and family and playing with my cat, Heathcliff. I am currently studying to becoming a Catholic. I was introduced to the Traditional Latin Mass by a good friend, and was hooked. Now I go every Sunday and sometimes on Thursday morning when I am off work. In my leisure time I am hanging out with friends or my family. Going to the movies, going mini-putting, or watching tv.

First of all, I find this an interesting exercise, trying to capture in words a sense of who you are. certainly not an easy thing to do! Personally, I find that I am called to be the servant both in a larger scale working with ministry programs and in the smaller scale interacting with people in my everyday life. It is in my nature to try to help people. I also tend to be optimistic, mixed with a healthy dose of realism! I am likely to acknowledge the challenges of a situation but at the same time facing them with a strong belief that we will get through it. To quote one of my friends, "this too shall pass". Other personality traits: definitely quirky sense of humor, can be introspective at times, good mix of hard-working and committed to tasks with a healthy dose of willingness to escape for sanity breaks. The most important things in my life are God, my family, and my friends. One of the experiences that influenced my life the greatest was losing my father at a young age. As a result of this, I think I gained a perspective on what was important in life and it forged strong family bonds among us. I think as a result of this, relationships have a strong meaning to me. I find that I tend to maintain smaller groups of close friends, but the relationships are strong. Working with the ministry programs, I have also developed friendship's with several people that have been very inflential in my life. I have found that the people volunteering for these services have a true heart for social justice and we have had many coversations that have opened my eyes in many ways and I have particularly enjoyed these experiences. So those were the deeper things about me but now for some of the lighter things. In my leisure time, I enjoy many different things. I am particularly fond of movies and books. In general my tastes are fairly ecclectic. I range from biographies to thrillers to romance.I enjoy most forms of nature including taking walks, gardening, and watching different animals (Although as a gardener, there is a kind of love/hate relationship with rabbits and squirrels). I aslo enojy traveling, music, plays. On the flipside, I also love having days with down time giving me a chance to recharge.

Hi! C'mon in! I am a stable, dependable, financially secure man who is devoted to his Catholic faith. I'm looking for a loyal Catholic wife who loves Jesus more than anything else and is longing to give her unconditional love to a spouse who is equally devoted to her. What do I know about marriage? I am widowed with no children and had a highly successful marriage that Jesus blessed with joy for 11 years. One important thing that I learned is that there is no half way in marriage. It has to be a total commitment and sharing between the couple to love, respect and honor each other without reservation. This requires grace from God, humility, honesty, trustworthiness and unselfishness in both spouses in order to work. Whether sharing a prayer or a laugh, Heaven has to be the primary goal in every marriage therefore what we do here on earth and who we choose to help us reach that goal is most important. I'm looking for a woman who is ready to make that commitment after careful discernment and can appreciate those qualities in a man. True unselfish love, or agape, is not a feeling. Relationships based on emotional response fall apart as quickly as emotions change. Love is a decision to commit to your wife and to do whatever is highest and best to fulfill Gods plan for her life and assure her salvation. Genuine unselfish love also means to respect chastity and preserve it before marriage. Only within marriage does the sacred gift of marital relations become the unselfish giving of yourself to your spouse and strengthen the bond that you have already made during courtship and engagement. Finding enduring love means opening yourself to the possibility of getting hurt. It means learning and discerning whether you can accept her differences and her faults, to relish in her charms and to know whether she will be a help or hindrance in serving God. You have to be her Simon the Cyrenian and help her to carry her crosses just as she helps you to carry yours. There is no one in this world who is a perfect spouse and I don't expect to find one. What I do expect in a wife is honesty, trustworthiness and a sincere willingness to live life the way that Jesus would want of her, the same qualities that I expect of myself. This is why it is so important to include Jesus in the marriage to give the grace of forbearance, humility, commitment and forgiveness for the times when you and your spouse fall short of perfection.

Thanks for reading, in spite of the fact that I have a D on my forehead. :) All I can think about is the Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne which I read in my American Lit class in high school. If you are still reading, I like to stay active and I enjoy a variety of activities. I have two amazing sons, ages 20 and 16 (produced in a 30 year marriage) who are the lights of my life. I am in the process of getting an annulment, so at this point I can only offer my friendship. Also, you should know that my German Shepherd dog, Bailey, is my constant companion and very protective, so if we ever meet and you make it past her, perhaps we might spend more time together :) I am content going out as well as spending time at home. I especially like to cook, garden, take long walks with my dog, go to movies, attend concerts (love Ravinia) and sporting events (Go Cubs!), comedy and all types of food. I am a glass half full kind of girl, and try to always live in the moment.

I enjoy watching a variety of sports and participated in some of them in the past (softball, basketball, and volleyball). Travel is an enjoyable experience for me and I have been to many of the 48 contiguous states, Canada and Mexico. Country music is a favorite of mine. Reading is an ongoing part of my life with variety being the theme in both fiction and non-fiction. My teachers inspired me to focus on continuing to grow through learning new things. Family is very important to me and I stay in touch with them through visits, phone calls, and trips to see them in person. I was widowed after 20+ years of marriage to a very special man and have one living daughter and numerous grandchildren. My youngest daughter and my son have passed on to the great beyond.
