26, Dekalb, ILHello!! I guess I don't really know where to start. So here we go... My parents and grandparents have influenced who I am greatly. My mom and dad have taught me to never give up and pursue your dreams, mom went back to school to become a nurse when I was in high school and both of them have supported us (my brother sister and I) in whatever we do. Grandma and Grandpa helped to show us what love and sacrifice is. They were married for over 55 years before grandma passed away, and Grandpa was the primary care giver for Grandma over the last 2 years of her life. As a side note one of the things I like to do in my spare time is work on antique tractors and maybe a snowmobile here and there. Also I am involved in the Knights of Columbus Council in my area.
33, Crystal Lake, ILHi, I'm Katie. I have a wide variety of interests. I think I am always learning. I love to have intellectual conversations and learn more about other fields. I almost always in the middle of some book. I enjoy playing basketball, have recently taken up swimming, and am very creative. I love to spend time with friends and am blessed with a wonderful family. I think that one of the most important things I have learned is that life is usually best when everything is in balance. I love my job, but I also know how important it is to take time to relax and spend time with the people who are most important to me.
33, Geneva, ILI am not your typical Catholic. I am a peace maker, mediator, minimalist, feminist, environmentalist, and advocate for social justice, and the LGBTQ community. I think that women should be allowed to be priests, and that married couples should be allowed to use birth control if it is right for their family. I personally think that kindness and compassion will get you farther in life than arguing. I often see the glass as half full, speak in a positive manner, and proudly support the dreams of my friends and family. I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life and learning about and experiencing different cultures. I am a fan of all forms of art (writing, music, movies, artwork, dance, etc.). I also enjoy being out in Gods beautiful creation, watching the sun rise and set, looking at the stars, swimming in the ocean, or enjoying a thunderstorm.
34, Woodstock, ILI went to this conference for Shaklee today, which is Saturday, and it really inspired me to rewrite this section of my profile. They were talking about Brene Brown, a writer/researcher on vulnerability. So here's basically my story. It takes a certain kind of man to read this so this is my way of finding out if you're that certain kind of man. My life hasn't been a perfect, let's face it no ones life is, and my life has been marked with suffering. I have gone through many times of being sexually assaulted unfortunately, I became Homeless for a period of about three almost four years to heal from these bad situations that had happened to me, and when I was 25 I had a heart attack. I'm the kind of person who for a long time put up this front of everything is fine, wonderful, great nothing bad going on in my life because that's how everyone else lived. I just wanted to be able to be like everyone else and be happy. I'm currently a Receptionist at a nonprofit that works with Blind people and prints their materials in braille. While I was Homeless I was able to lose about 100 lbs which when I moved up North back home I regained the weight. At this point I'm currently 85 lbs over weight. I have several concrete goals for my future. I'm in the process of walking off the weight and building muscle over the course of the next year. This year I'm studying to become a Health Coach and possibly next year a Personal Trainer. I'm currently a Shaklee Distributor and my goal is to build my Health Coaching Practice, Personal Training Practice, and a Corporate Wellness Program, and build a team under me. My overall goal is to be able to work from home and raise a family with my husband. I would actually love to adopt and raise my kids while building a HUGE Shaklee business and travel the world with my family. So, there's the reality of the past which DOESN'T define me, there's the reality of today and there's the reality of what I'm building today and on into the future one day at a time. If you are willing to take the time to get to know me BEYOND what I've written on this profile feel free to send me a wink, or a smile, or an email. I would love to hear from a man who is honest, and real, and caring, solid work ethic who gives a crap about people. If not I wish you the best of luck on your journey! Take care and God Bless!
23, Ohio, ILI'm not very good at these things, but I listen to all kinds of music, I love to travel, I like the TV shows; CSI, Supernatural, Bates Motel, The Simpsons, and Family Guy
26, Hampshire, ILHi I'm Annette! My faith is very important to me, and what I care most about are my family and friends. I am someone who can sit and talk for hours in deep conversation, but also could spontaneously go on trip or try something new! I recently moved back to my home state, and while I've had a lot of amazing experiences, I am looking forward to starting this new phase of my life and meeting the new people that come along with it.
26, Mchenry, ILI am fairly shy when you first meet me but once I trust you, I'm always up for an adventure. I love to sing and play instruments. Baby animals are adorable. I always look forward to my yearly mission trips to Haiti. I like to spend time outside in nature just wandering around and taking photos. I'm not really sure what to put here because online dating always seemed a little odd to me. I'm easy going and hope you can make me laugh. Just message me : ) I'm looking for a best friend who I can marry and we will enjoy spending time together.
22, Lake in the Hills, ILI'm passionate about my Faith, family, traveling the world, and emergency room nursing. If you'd like to know more, let's grab a cup of coffee sometime :)
29, Sublette, ILMy biggest passion I'd say is for horses and anything outdoors! I grew up on a farm, and now live in a small town close to the farm I grew up on. The Catholic Church has always been in my life, but probably more than ever now that I have the time to read/study the bible. I'm not one to talk small talk, but give me something of substance and I may talk your ear off. :) Reading is a huge passion of mine, as well as running, softball, and especially working out.
24, Naperville, ILI'm a South Carolina native just waiting for the end of winter. I have a mechanical engineering degree from Notre Dame and I love my job at a manufacturing plant. When I'm not at work, you can find me outside adventuring with my kayak or my hiking gear.
35, South Beloit, ILHello, My name is Betsy and I am a Special Education teacher. My students inspire me each and every day! I can honestly say I LOVE seeing what challenges they will conquer next! Not one day is the same and just watching them puts a smile on my face! My other love is my dog, Ryne Sandberg or "Ryno". He's a 7 year old yellow lab. We love taking walks in the summer but not gonna lie, he is an air conditioning baby. He loves the winter and playing in the snow. As you can tell from my dogs name... I am a Cubs fan. I also am a Bear fan. I like the Blackhawks and the Ice Hogs but to be completely honest I still don't understand what icing is! I like going to games or watching with friends at home! I also enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, kayaking, and boating. Love bonfires!
26, Geneva, ILHi! Hope your Lent is challenging this year! In other news, when do the Cubbies come back to Wrigley?! The World Series was definitely a highlight of 2016 for me! In my spare time (which is pretty rare since I'm pursuing a graduate degree), I enjoy spending time with family and friends, being active outdoors, and learning new things. I am interested in meeting someone who shares similar faith and sports teams beliefs as myself (although, I GUESS being a Sox or Packers fan is not the absolute worst thing in the world). Looking forward to getting to know some of you great people out there!
