36, Elgin, ILI enjoy a variety of activities, from watching movies to reading books to playing and watching sports. I enjoying spending time with people and am open to talking about any subject. I strive to live a healthy lifestyle intellectually, spiritually, socially, and physically. Basically, I just want to enjoy life, which includes taking time to relax when needed.
45, Rockford, ILYou mean after reading all the answers to the questions you don't know enough to make a judgement on if you want to get to know me or not? Just kidding, I think it is pretty impossible to get to know someone from just the answers to some profile questions, but I guess we are all in the same boat. I may not have been the ideal Catholic, but I do find that having a spiritual commonality is an important aspect of having a strong relationship with someone. So I am starting to rekindle that area of my life, as I have spent a lot of time over the last 20 years working very hard and neglecting my personal life. However, I am a fun person to be around and I would think my friends would describe me as someone who you can talk to easily, trust with a secret, and seek advice from and consult with. I like to play gold, even though I am not that good and I like seeing live music, mostly because I cant play a lick. I am rooted here in Rockford for business reasons that we can talk about as we move along this process, but I am not so sure that the perfect person is near here so I am open to look elsewhere. Hopefully I can meet a lady who is open and honest, looking to move forward in life with someone and who finds me as atractive as I find her. I would like someone who compliments me but doesn't have to love everything I do but willing to experience them and vice versa.I was on eHarmony for awhile and finding someone with the same religious backgoround and beliefs was a bit difficult. However, if you are interested in getting to know each other send me a smiley face as I will do the same.
35, Aurora, ILThis is always the hardest part of these things. I never know what to say about myself. I have worked in Early Childhood education for over 10 years now, and I love it. I have been a Catholic my whole life. In my free time, I enjoy being with my family and friends. I have realized over the last few years just how important spending time with family can be. Want to know about me, just ask.
65, Dekalb, ILHi! C'mon in! I am a stable, dependable, financially secure man who is devoted to his Catholic faith. I'm looking for a loyal Catholic wife who loves Jesus more than anything else and is longing to give her unconditional love to a spouse who is equally devoted to her. What do I know about marriage? I am widowed with no children and had a highly successful marriage that Jesus blessed with joy for 11 years. One important thing that I learned is that there is no half way in marriage. It has to be a total commitment and sharing between the couple to love, respect and honor each other without reservation. This requires grace from God, humility, honesty, trustworthiness and unselfishness in both spouses in order to work. Whether sharing a prayer or a laugh, Heaven has to be the primary goal in every marriage therefore what we do here on earth and who we choose to help us reach that goal is most important. I'm looking for a woman who is ready to make that commitment after careful discernment and can appreciate those qualities in a man. True unselfish love, or agape, is not a feeling. Relationships based on emotional response fall apart as quickly as emotions change. Love is a decision to commit to your wife and to do whatever is highest and best to fulfill Gods plan for her life and assure her salvation. Genuine unselfish love also means to respect chastity and preserve it before marriage. Only within marriage does the sacred gift of marital relations become the unselfish giving of yourself to your spouse and strengthen the bond that you have already made during courtship and engagement. Finding enduring love means opening yourself to the possibility of getting hurt. It means learning and discerning whether you can accept her differences and her faults, to relish in her charms and to know whether she will be a help or hindrance in serving God. You have to be her Simon the Cyrenian and help her to carry her crosses just as she helps you to carry yours. There is no one in this world who is a perfect spouse and I don't expect to find one. What I do expect in a wife is honesty, trustworthiness and a sincere willingness to live life the way that Jesus would want of her, the same qualities that I expect of myself. This is why it is so important to include Jesus in the marriage to give the grace of forbearance, humility, commitment and forgiveness for the times when you and your spouse fall short of perfection.
