I am a mom and a teacher. I love my kids and my job! I feel very fortunate to have a job that I love, especially given the current economy. I live close to my parents and 2 of my 3 sisters and their families - we are very close and truly enjoy spending time together I have been divorced for over 12 years. I have come to realize how important my faith is to me. I was excited to see this Website; as I've had a difficult time meeting people not only my age, but also singles of the Catholic faith. There is no singles/divorced group at my parish anymore. I have noticed something I find interesting about the temperament test - my results can vary greatly each time I take it. I think we are all a combination of the "temperament" types. I have raised my two daughters full-time, and am trying to set a good example for them. I am finding it to be a challenge, but one that will certainly be worth the effort. My oldest daughter graduated from college and is now in her third year of teaching. I am enjoying the friendship we now have since she has truly become an adult. I am also enjoying spending time with my youngest daughter as she progresses through the challenges of the high school years. She is a senior, and will be off to college next year.

Family and friends are my most valued treasures in life. I've been blessed with three wonderful adult children and an awesome grandson who fills me with joy. I also have a faithful circle of lifelong friends, we've been together through thick and thin. I've been widowed for over 25 years and since I recently retired would enjoy sharing leisure time with a caring companion. As a lifelong Catholic my faith is and always has been very important to me. I enjoy simple pleasures such as cooking, reading, gardening, and the companionship of my two rescue dogs. I also like the theater, opera, and visits to museums and I'm a Chicago White Sox fan!

First of all, I find this an interesting exercise, trying to capture in words a sense of who you are. certainly not an easy thing to do! Personally, I find that I am called to be the servant both in a larger scale working with ministry programs and in the smaller scale interacting with people in my everyday life. It is in my nature to try to help people. I also tend to be optimistic, mixed with a healthy dose of realism! I am likely to acknowledge the challenges of a situation but at the same time facing them with a strong belief that we will get through it. To quote one of my friends, "this too shall pass". Other personality traits: definitely quirky sense of humor, can be introspective at times, good mix of hard-working and committed to tasks with a healthy dose of willingness to escape for sanity breaks. The most important things in my life are God, my family, and my friends. One of the experiences that influenced my life the greatest was losing my father at a young age. As a result of this, I think I gained a perspective on what was important in life and it forged strong family bonds among us. I think as a result of this, relationships have a strong meaning to me. I find that I tend to maintain smaller groups of close friends, but the relationships are strong. Working with the ministry programs, I have also developed friendship's with several people that have been very inflential in my life. I have found that the people volunteering for these services have a true heart for social justice and we have had many coversations that have opened my eyes in many ways and I have particularly enjoyed these experiences. So those were the deeper things about me but now for some of the lighter things. In my leisure time, I enjoy many different things. I am particularly fond of movies and books. In general my tastes are fairly ecclectic. I range from biographies to thrillers to romance.I enjoy most forms of nature including taking walks, gardening, and watching different animals (Although as a gardener, there is a kind of love/hate relationship with rabbits and squirrels). I aslo enojy traveling, music, plays. On the flipside, I also love having days with down time giving me a chance to recharge.

I am happy with where I am in life. I have been blessed by God in many ways who has helped me understand the value of compassion and empathy. I continually work on being a virtuous person. I value honesty, genuine sincerity and integrity. I am a romantic at heart but I am also realistic and grounded enough to know what I'm looking for. Chemistry is key and kindness, patience, honor, good humor and compassion go a long way. Some of the things I enjoy include cooking and baking, herb gardening, travel, hiking (even through snow :), long distance bicycling, performing arts, art shows, outdoor markets, day trips, out of the way places and new adventures :)

Hi, I am a Catholic woman who loves God, children, and education. I am fortunate to be an accomplished Reading Specialist who helps struggling students learn how to read and write, in an abbreviated amount of time. While some classroom teachers say that these students "can't learn," my challenge is help them beat the odds. I learn alongside my students. Recently I graduated with my second Master's degree, and I continue taking classes that interest me. American and foreign cultures, "the belles letres," visiting art museums, dancing, and listening to music are some of my leisure interests. There is nothing like a good book, a good glass of wine, or a good laugh! Taking time to plan and reflect is important to me. Fresh air, a big open sky, and endless, overlapping waves at the seashore rejuvenate my spirit. I am hoping that a highly-educated professional man, around my age or slightly older, having similar values and interests, will find me here.

Hi! Happy Spring! :) In my spare time (which is pretty rare since I'm pursuing a graduate degree), I enjoy spending time with family and friends, being active outdoors, and learning new things. I am interested in meeting someone who shares similar faith and sports teams beliefs as myself (although, I GUESS being a Sox or Packers fan is not the absolute worst thing in the world, haha). Looking forward to getting to know some of you great people out there!

My passion in life and what I enjoy most is meeting new people, creating new adventures and having great conversations. There are places in this world I would love to see and having someone to see it with would - well that would make the dream real. I love to travel - my favorite place in the US is San Diego - I get the mountains, the ocean and the beach at the same time. And at night you get to cozy up to a fire and listen to the waves come to shore. My all-time favorite - the Amalfi coast in Italy. Again mountains, beaches and the bluest water I have ever seen. The food and wine wasn't bad either. I am not a fraud - I was committed to one women for 44 years and though I have moments of loneliness - I'm not lonely. I have 3 girls and a boy with 6 grandchildren. Looking to meet that special person I can create new memories and adventures with. Life needs to be lived now - not tomorrow. Those who know me say I'm creative, funny, intelligent and more importantly a true gentleman. My friends and family would say I'm an old school gentleman, I hold hands in public, not afraid to show affection, open up doors, stand between the lady and the street so that I'm the first to be hit. I can always hear my mom in my head when I do something opposite. I'm looking for someone who wants to travel, see the world, watch Broadway plays, enjoy popcorn while watching a movie and thought provoking conversations.
