Hi! Thanks for checking out my profile. I hope you find whatever it is you are looking for (friendship, marriage, etc.) here on the site or in day-to-day life. For the record, I am horrible at writing about myself, so here goes nothing: first and foremost, I love my family especially my parents and my aunt. My aunt is quite a bit older than me, but I've always seen her as more of an older sister than aunt. I love family get-togethers and being able to catch up on the lives of my extended family, especially my cousins. Aside from family, I enjoy learning more about the Catholic faith and this year I took over teaching Confirmation to the eighth graders at my parish. (Prayers for that are always appreciated!) I love traveling and was fortunate that growing up we took a week long vacation every year. My favorite destination is probably Italy with Germany taking a close second --- at least outside of the US. Within the States there are so many places I love going to - the Smoky Mountains, Michigan's UP, Minnesota's North Shore (Lake Superior), and the National Parks in Utah. I enjoy a good game of euchre, which has become a family Christmas & New Year's tradition now. I've also taken an interest in becoming more physically fit, so I don't mind a good leg day in the gym...even if I can't walk for days later. :) I completed my first half marathon in October 2014 in 2 hours and 44 minutes, and while not a great time, made me happy because I just started running in June. I will complete my second half in Oct 2015, so I guess I should get back into a training routine...

Hello, my name is Greg. Faith and family are very important to me. I am a laid back, easy going guy. I never really no what to say on here, but I am an open book, so feel free to ask whatever comes to mind.

Hi I'm Steven. A big part of my time has gone to charity; boy scouts, venturing(BSA), my parish's teen group and men's club, and I'm also big in the Knights of Columbus. Through all my years growing up: earning my Eagle Scout and joining the K of C were pretty profound events in my life. And through my adventures almost everyone I've met has had a significant influence in my life. I enjoy working with my hand during my leisure time. I'm currently studying to be a mechanical engineer, and I am also training to become an officer in the United States Army. I have gotten out of life and I have a lot to give back. I'm a gigantic nerd, you know star wars, star trek, lord of the rings, marvel, DC, and history are a passion.

I guess I have been passionate about the people I love and my faith. My daughter is now in college, but she has been one of the main focuses in my life along with my career. My interests are animals, being out in nature, scuba diving, horseback riding, going for motorcycle rides, and boating on Lake Michigan. I also enjoy cultural and sporting events. I guess I enjoy doing a lot of different things and am up for new experiences. I feel I am a very down to earth person and someone who is easy to talk to and laugh with. I try to be considerate of other's feelings and am a very loving person. My parents have been the most influential people in my life. They have taught me to have a good work ethic, to be a person of character, and one that appreciates others, and to live a moral life.

Back when i was interviewing for my first job, a common question asked by interviewers was "tell me about yourself". Back then, i rambled on and on about my volunteer work, hobbies, and leadership style, but none of that seems to apply in this situation. I guess what you really want to know is that I have a customer service job where I am "on-call" 24/7. I don't make a lot of plans because they often get interrupted by work. I look forward to new movies that come out and dinner reservations, mostly because 2 hour movies and dinner are both situations where I can step out and answer a phone call. As far as bigger goals, I am working to get in shape for the Indianapolis Mini-Marathon next year (up to 4.5 miles, only another 9 to go). I love watching football, science fiction movies, and stupid sitcoms (i have a unhealthy, shameful obsession with these). I do play fantasy football, which essentially makes me a nerd who doesn't hate sports (however Star Trek is still pretty awesome). I bike whenever i get the opportunity to do so and i enjoy camping. I also love road trips, while hating having to drive to complete errands. About a year ago, i was relocated for work to NW Georgia. I am actively working to get back to Indianapolis full-time, but as of right now i spend about 50% of my time there. I expect to be back full-time in Indy by mid-to-late November. Now that i have rambled on for the past 1,433 characters (gotta love the character count thing on this site), i can tell you that conversations with me are fairly similar. Talking to me is a bit... erratic... but i can stay on topic if the situation calls for it. I dont really know how to end this rambling mess of a personal summary. I guess I'm done....

My likes include state parks, hikeing and camping, colts football, exercising, and down time (ZZZZ). I am a member of the K of C, and do cooking for the church at our community dinner for the needy. Passionate about my faith (growing in it) and my family (praying them into Heaven); all else takes second place. Annulment pending. Greatest influences; My parents, quite strict but built us to be strong, to love God, to be fair to others. Neither finished high school, which was fairly common during the War. It was impossible to fool my wise father on anything.... never kid a kidder, he would say! But he taught me many valuable lessons. I especially recall his kindness early one morning after a young man fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into our parked new station wagon....this young man had no insurance so refused a trip to the hospital, my dad brought him in, cleaned his head wounds and took great care of him. When I asked him why he wasn't upset about the car, he firmly chastised me that cars can always be replaced but people cannot be replaced. That always made a huge impression on me. He wasn't a brick and mortar type of Catholic, but he lived his faith by example in the way he treated others and his indifference towards materialism. At his funeral, I was stunned by the many people, strangers many, divulging numerous stories of his aiding so many in need, always while rather impoverished himself. My mother was more of a devotional Catholic and more recently I have developed a fuller appreciation and understanding of how her prayers have benefitted me (and still do) and it humbles me in gratitude. So they are my greatest influences and I hope they are smiling down on me. Leisure time? I spend way too much time on the computer and have cut that way back, except that I really enjoy writing and hope to publish someday. I love my dog, had two until recently. I read a lot, lovelovelove music and in my imagination I am an amazing dancer but reality is more like Elaine on Seinfeld. I try to go swimming at the YMCA several times a week to get in better shape and I really enjoy that, eat pretty healthy. Pilates 2 times a week. Love wave running and jumping waves whenever I get the chance. Politics is one of my many passions, so a bit distracted these days! I love old movies which is a passion I inherited from my mother. I'm especially fond of World War 2 movies based on hearing my father's experience in the army. Or any movie that I find edifying or based on a true story I always enjoy. Enjoy remodeling and decorating. I would like to study photography, I am drawn to snapping away at sunsets and autumn scenes or nature in general.

I'm passionate about travel and trying new things. I've served 7.5 years in the army and seen some of the most interesting places, learning new skills such as understanding the stock market. I'd guess you might describe me as an adventurer. In my leisure time I enjoy reading books about my areas of interest and building up my plans to achieve my goals in life.

An educator at heart, I am also the consummate student. I love to learn and focus less on the accomplishments of my past and more on the potential I have yet to fulfill. I come from a family of educators, so it is in my blood, but it is also in my heart. The very art of teaching is supported by the openness to learn from others. Meeting new people of all cultures is my preferred educational venue. I appreciate learning about various cultures and historical elements. I am fascinated by diversity but also by how much we are alike in so many ways. As one who values learning and education, I consider myself an intellectual with a capacity for silliness...a great combination! The perfect guy for me would have a quick wit and curious intelligence that would allow for dialogues of depth and meaning, yet his fun and quirky sense of humor would always be close at hand. I can talk about European history in one moment and then discuss the finer points of handling an ATV in the mud in the next moment. Another form of diversity exists in being well-versed in any number of topics. Never a dull moment! As a partner, my areas of expertise include, but are far from limited, to honesty, loyalty, and compassion. I am also very passionate and demonstrative. You will never have to guess how much I care for you. You will simply feel it. I am one who will support you through the challenging times and champion you in the best of them. Of course, I am not immune to the loving reciprocation of such affections, either. What I admire in a man is one who is confident and self-assured, fully aware of his path and passions in life. However, he refuses to entertain ego and arrogance. He is one for whom kindness and compassion are instincts and his sincere respect for those around him can be heard in his voice and seen in his actions. I appreciate a man who lives with an open mind, a spirit of tolerance, a generous heart, and a loving soul. He is driven and ambitious, yet not immune to indulging that child-like sense of wonder that keeps us grounded and in the moment. He must have a great sense of humor; a sense of self; a sense of purpose; and a sense of adventure. As for a sense of direction, well, that'd be great....as I have none...but, then again...that's what a GPS is for! Besides, half the fun in getting somewhere rests in the journey along the way!
