  • John, 66 from Indianapolis, IN
    66, Indianapolis, IN
At the present time, I work many hours as a material handler at FedEx Express at Indianapolis International Airport. This means that I unload planes coming to Indianapolis and then load planes which fly back to a location. I have done this job for 22 years. Since I have had a physical job, I am in very good shape. I hope to maintain this shape by going to the gym to work out when I retire. I was married at 32 years of age after finally meeting the love of my life. We went through four pregnancies and raised three children. We lost a son in the third pregnancy. We were deeply committed in our love and learned and then practiced Natural Family Planning. The concept strengthened our married lives until Jackie returned to heaven and Jesus. My oldest son and his wife blessed me with my second grandchild - a beautiful baby girl. Her four year old brother will guide her. My son is an audit accountant for a top accounting firm. My oldest daughter has been a renal oncology nurse for two years and her new husband are on their second transfer in a year and are now living in Phoenix. My youngest daughter is a special education teacher for Indianapolis Public Schools and taught last year at Little Flower Catholic School in Indianapolis. Her husband works at UPS. I lost my best friend 13 years ago January 21. I miss her and the companionship, but I was single for many years before finding her. She died from complications of a pulmonary embolism. She survived the first encounter, but the second PE encounter was fatal. My ideal match would be attractive, physically fit, engaged in life, love and Jesus Christ.

I'm a congenial person, intelligent but not exceptionally well-read. I enjoy learning, if from an article, a radio or television broadcast or another person. My daughter is at UIndy, enjoying herself, I presume. I enjoy spontaneous prayer, have sadness & mild qualms with the Church; disappointments. They are best overcome with compassion and forgiveness; After all, we're all sinners. I love the music of Josh Groban and the good Sixties stuff: Carole King, John Fogarty, Beatles, Willie Nelson's ballads, The Boss, Rod Stewart's ballads, Carpenters, especially their Christmas album, traditional Christmas music, Simon & Garfunkel... I prefer artists to performers: Bryan Adams. Enjoyed Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars, Indiana Jones~ (I'm being limited on paragraphs...) I'm not close with family and that saddens me. What little communication we have is strained. I'm not exactly sure what the problem is, but I have some ideas. I look forward to communicating with an intelligent gentleman and possibly having that relationship grow into something very special.
  • Matthew, 39 from Indianapolis, IN

Hello, I have been told that I am a loyal friend. I can be outgoing sometimes and shy other times, depending on the circumstances. I am artistic and like to draw, be musical, create videos, and write. I am a Traditional Catholic, and believe a lot has gone wrong in recent decades liturgically and with the faith, but in spite of the confusion the remnant is there. My dream is to have a home business but I would like to accumulate more money first, which has been difficult. I believe in a lot of what people call conspiracy theories about many well-known events which most people accept the official narratives of, I thought to be upfront about this because many people can't handle that. My parents have been very influential in my life. My father is a very caring person and my mother is prayerful. Two others who have been very influential in my life were my friends Aric and Keith. Aric is a peer friend who taught me about love and respect for others by his example. Keith is a middle aged man who has been a spiritual mentor for me. He is struggling with his health (his voice) so we don't speak as often anymore. I am a supporter of U.S.A. President-elect Trump. I understand that he is not a living saint or even a Catholic, but I pray for him regularly. Update November. After various experiences I am wondering if I am called to religious life. I don't want to be single. I do want to marry but haven't been able to meet someone who is interested in me, never been married, like minded, peaceful tempered, and doesn't have ulterior motives. I find the corporate world very cutthroat and stressful.
  • Karen, 47 from Indianapolis, IN
    47, Indianapolis, IN
Hi!!! My name is Karen and after being divorced for four years, I am wanting to get back into the dating scene and meet someone that has similar values as well as likes. I'm not looking for a serious relationship at this time, unless the right person comes along. I want to find someone who I can laugh and have fun together. Someone who I can enjoy a two-way intelligent conversation, be carefree and maybe a little reckless. I want someone who can take control when necessary, but still be spontaneous. I have a 10 year old son, who keeps me on my toes. He is very inquisitive and has a memory that never forgets anything!! When he grows up he's going to be either an attorney, a theologian, a historian, a veterinarian or an architect. He will definitely not be a sports star as the only 'sport' he enjoys is swimming. I currently work at a local medical facility where I work with a small team of developers customizing our clinical software by creating applications that our vendor can not provide. It's a challenging and busy job but also very rewarding. I enjoy being outdoors when it's the perfect temperature to work in the flower beds, garden or to take walks. I want to get back into hiking and photography, but haven't been able to as of yet. Soon I tell myself when I'm done painting the house, sanding the deck, fixing the trim, etc.... When I have some downtime, I like to veg on the couch and watch a movie or read a book in the sunroom - I love mysteries. In the summer going to the pool or a waterpark with my son is the preferred relaxation. I grew up in the Fort Wayne vicinity, but have made Indianapolis my home ever since graduating from Marian (College) University. I don't plan on moving from this area at this time. My mom and four older brothers still live in and around Fort Wayne. My dad is deceased, but he is with me every day in spirit. I enjoy getting together with the family during the holidays over a big meal and lots of small talk. Mom and I chit chat about twice a week and she comes to visit for a few days every other month. One of our favorite games is Scrabble!!

Back when i was interviewing for my first job, a common question asked by interviewers was "tell me about yourself". Back then, i rambled on and on about my volunteer work, hobbies, and leadership style, but none of that seems to apply in this situation. I guess what you really want to know is that I have a customer service job where I am "on-call" 24/7. I don't make a lot of plans because they often get interrupted by work. I look forward to new movies that come out and dinner reservations, mostly because 2 hour movies and dinner are both situations where I can step out and answer a phone call. As far as bigger goals, I am working to get in shape for the Indianapolis Mini-Marathon next year (up to 4.5 miles, only another 9 to go). I love watching football, science fiction movies, and stupid sitcoms (i have a unhealthy, shameful obsession with these). I do play fantasy football, which essentially makes me a nerd who doesn't hate sports (however Star Trek is still pretty awesome). I bike whenever i get the opportunity to do so and i enjoy camping. I also love road trips, while hating having to drive to complete errands. About a year ago, i was relocated for work to NW Georgia. I am actively working to get back to Indianapolis full-time, but as of right now i spend about 50% of my time there. I expect to be back full-time in Indy by mid-to-late November. Now that i have rambled on for the past 1,433 characters (gotta love the character count thing on this site), i can tell you that conversations with me are fairly similar. Talking to me is a bit... erratic... but i can stay on topic if the situation calls for it. I dont really know how to end this rambling mess of a personal summary. I guess I'm done....

I'm passionate about living life fully each day. I love to be active and outdoors whenever possible. I enjoy culture, food, and travel, particularly international. I love my family and I'm always excited to go to work, because I enjoy my job. I spend a lot of my time with my kids, showing them as much about life as I can, leading them, but also walking along side them each day.

I am divorced and retired. I have two children, five grandchildren and two labradoodles! I believe a simple life is a good life! I'm an early bird who enjoys taking my dogs (Baxter and Frazier) for morning walks, listening to the birds and enjoying nature. I'm a crafty girl who likes woodworking, crocheting, decorating and working in my yard. I'm a big Colts fan! I also enjoy watching Butler and IU basketball. I enjoy traveling a lot as well. I go on an annual women's adventure challenge. We have traveled to Yosemite, Smoky Mountains, Grand Canyon, Rocky Mountains. Our group just returned from our trip to Mt Hood. That is Mt Hood in the background of the picture of me in the kayak. My son recently retired after 30 years in the Navy as a CWO4. He lives in Hawaii, so of course, I LOVE to visit there! Family and Faith: I am the second of twelve children, all live local, we are a close knit family. I realize the importance of relying on my faith in God. I look forward to weekly mass, bible study and my devotions. He strengthens me. I'm looking for a kind, honest, down to earth and fun loving man. Someone to share the "simple and not so simple" pleasures of life, family, and faith.
  • Alyssa, 27 from Indianapolis, IN

I am extremely passionate about my career. I love taking care of people, I currently work in an assisted living facility. Working there allows me to make the last years of my residents lives full of as much love and laughter as I can. I have 2 dogs, and love them like crazy. We go hiking, camping, swimming, anything outdoors as often as we possibly can. My family lived about 10 minutes from me and I spend as much time as possible with them. My extended family is huge and we have get together more than once a month. I can't imagine life any other way. I have recently changed my lifestyle to be more healthy and have seen wonderful results so far, have awhile to go, but it's a start. Very passionate about these goals. I feel great already.

I am born and raised in the Indianapolis area. I would describe myself as being quite personable, outgoing, and energetic. I love musical theater - singing, dancing, acting. My faith is a big part of who I am, and I believe a successful relationship has to be founded on both parties being in sync with their religion. I would describe myself as a devout Catholic, and every day, I try to live my life according to the example set by Jesus Christ. I love meeting new people. I honestly get so much joy from interacting with others. I love to be funny and make others laugh. In addition, I love spending time outdoors and with my family doing whatever.

  • Anna, 55 from Indianapolis, IN

Back roads, small towns and summer festivals are the ingredients for a grand adventure. No tourist traps for this girl; I love exploring the real America and swapping stories of past adventures. I also like finding those unique little restaurants that have a local flair and great food. I am looking for a man who loves being Catholic, likes big energetic dogs and vibrant conversation about topics that range from frivolous to the sublime. Honesty and integrity round out my checklist. Bonus points for tolerating a snarky sense of humor. Extra bonus points if you have one too! If all of this sounds intriguing, send me a message!
