I'm a retired person who is recently widowed. My wife of 42 years passed away in February of 2008. I have 4 children, and 11 grandchildren. I enjoy motorcycling, sailing, playing euchre and Texas-hold-em on the computer. I also enjoy doing some woodworking projects. I also enjoy being with like minded people. Time is starting to soften the loss.

I am a high school Theology teacher, so interacting with students about the life of faith is easily what I'm most passionate about. It takes up quite a lot of my time, but I would have it no other way. They are living proof that the Holy Spirit is alive and well, constantly challenging us to discern according to our consciences.

Hello! Thanks for stopping by. My name is Scott. What can I say? I'm an outgoing, enjoy company and try-to-keep-busy kind of guy. I like to keep things simple for the most part and I'm really not that interested in keeping up with the Joneses. I generally like to have a plan, but I do enjoy rolling the dice from time to time. I enjoy being outside whether riding the bike, doing a run or spending time in the woods. I bought a place a few months back and while I suffer from IDD (interior decorating disorder) I like swinging a hammer and pulling out the shovels to work around the house. I like taking in all Chicago has to offer whether it be a bite, drinks or show. I like to think of myself as approachable and relatable and I like to learn new things. The truth is that after a meeting or two, people generally get to know me fairly well. I look forward for the chance to share the good and have fun with someone special.

I am born and raised in the Indianapolis area. I would describe myself as personable, outgoing, and energetic. I love musical theater - singing, dancing, acting. My faith is a big part of who I am, and I believe a successful relationship has to be founded on faith in Christ and a willingness to work together and not give up. I would describe myself as a devout Catholic, and every day, I try to live my life according to the example set by Jesus Christ. I love meeting new people. I honestly get so much joy from interacting with others. I love to be funny and make others laugh. In addition, I love spending time outdoors and with my family doing whatever.

I am passionate about research, history, and my family. I enjoy researching topics that I consider can bring a benefit for society and the environment. I enjoy spending time with my family and try to be a reason of pride and happiness for them. Among the experiences that have been must determinant in my life, I have to say that any period of my life and place where I have lived has brought something determinant for my life. Having said that, the most determinant experience in my life has been the fact of being born and raised in the family that God choose for me. From the basic moral formation that I received from them I have been able to do and achieve all what I am. Other than my family, I think that the experiences I recognize more particularly as determinant have been my time living in Israel and my postdoctoral fellowship at NASA. In regard to the people most influential, they have been my family: especially my parents, sisters and son. I enjoy watching science and history documentaries in my leisure time.

Gosh finding something to say here makes me bashful!! This is such a strange way to introduce yourself to someone. But hello, nonetheless. :) I asked a couple friends how they would briefly describe me to a stranger and (twenty bucks later) they said... "I'd say you were enthusiastic. Loving. Caring. Good at being with the person in front of you. Laugh a lot at silly things. Hard working. Dedicated--relentless, at times. Compassionate and tender inside. How many words to I get? I am not very good with words. If it wasn't you asking, I'd direct you to you for help. You're helpful. Life-filled in a contagious sort of way." "Kiki is full of life, excitable, wise, not afraid to be childlike one moment, and profound and serious the next. She's loyal, faithful, listens with her whole being, will love you when you don't want to be loved, fight for you when you don't want to be fought for, and always have your back. She's the friend everyone wishes they could have but few get to experience in a lifetime." Okay that's enough they're makin me blush!

I was married for 31 years until my husband passed away 2 years ago. I am looking for my best friend, someone who I can laugh with and enjoy new adventures with on this journey called life. I like the stanza by poet Robert Browning "Grow old along with me, the best is yet to be". I would have written that as "Grow YOUNG along with me, Behold the wonders yet to see, hand in hand it shall be, A world of hope that sets us free." I also like the quote by Hunter Thompson: "Who is the happier man, he who has braved the storm of life and lived, or he who has stayed securely on shore and merely existed?" I am a simple person that enjoys simple things; walking in the park and watching a shower of brilliantly colorful leaves splash down on everything, a spectacular sunset, curling up with a good book in front of a roaring fireplace., being with my children , the smell of autumn.... It would also be fun to experience things I have never done before. A man that can laugh at his own foibles and make me laugh would be a real turn on as well.

My number one Strengths Finder attribute is Learner. I love intelligent and challenging conversations and situations that make me think. World Youth Day 2008 in Sydney was one of the best experiences in my life. I was blessed to share it with my young adult children. As a recovering workaholic my current life has a shortage of leisure time - and I am planning to remedy that.
