I'm 65, never married, raised Catholic. I like to read, spring and summer seasons, the beach, yard sales, festivals, most kinds of music and enjoy singing. I have one sister and I also have two nephews and a greatniece and nephew. I belonged to a humane society. Grew up in a small town, but now live a middle town. I'm more of a listener than a talker, at least until I know someone. I also belong to the church choir.

This is difficult, I have so many interests. I am a ' hands on ' type of person, blue collar I guess you can say. I love to spend the summers by the water, pool, beach, you name it , if it's warm I'm all for it. In the colder months you find me peeking through the blinds looking for the sun, Lol. It doesn't mean I don't enjoy life in the winter though. I enjoy time with friends and family, reading, watching a good movie, and a thousand other things. Enjoying drinks with friends, good conversations about about any topic. I have science type of background, which can generate some pretty interesting topics and theories that make for excellent conversations. I enjoy tossing out the occasional one-liner that will stop the chit chat, only to be answered with convulsive laughter. I like asking tough inquisitive questions, about things people don't usually discuss, and watch their wheels spin as they search for a good answer. I believe the media in our country 'spoon feeds us ', with the hope of keeping us all ignorant to the fact we can think for ourselves. The interests I have in so many things, I doubt if many could comprehend them all. If I mentioned them here, you would have a hard time believing it, from spelunking miles underground to observing the planets through a telescope on a clear night. You might find me with a cup of coffee or a drink, feet up, notebooks surrounding me, as I calculate, sketch, or invent answers to a multitude of different problems or situations. I am generally a quiet listener, but sometimes when the conversation gets rolling, watch out. I can make you think of things you have probably never thought of, I always enjoy seeing someone squirm a bit as they put the ol' noggin through its paces. I enjoy some light sarcasm, it always makes the conversation perk up a bit, doesn't it? I believe a stimulating conversation is a type of mental foreplay, if I can say that without repercussions. Just so you all know, I don't want your money, your retirement, your home, or anything but your friendship. I will continue as I always have, through good and bad times just fine, it just makes it easier when you don't have to always do it by yourself. We aren't meant to be alone in this place, if we were, then why aren't we all identical? I do not pay for this site, not yet anyway, doesn't a former alter boy for the Bishop of the Diocese of Gary get some Special Dispensation on here? Lol, just testing to see if the administrators are listening.

Hello, and thank you for looking at my profile. My name is Bob and I live in Valparaiso, Indiana. I am retired from the FBI and moved back to my hometown after a 24 year career. I am a licensed attorney in Indiana and do a small amount of attorney work. Recently, I have started visiting close family in the countryside outside of Versailles, Kentucky. Usually, we go out for dinner once or twice, so I am also looking for a nice lady who would like to join us for dinner. Also, if you are a little more adventurous, we also do some campfires down there,. I also like to shoot my old fashioned bows (I don't hunt) down there. We also do a little bit of caving down there, but it is very dangerous. We could also maybe visit a distillery or winery, although I am not a big drinker. I think I will be down in Kentucky about 12/1/15, or thereabouts. Right now, I am spending some time learning oil painting. I don't know what my future plans will be. I am financially stable. I own my own house. I used to enjoy walking my dog in the evening. He weighed125 pounds and his name wasSnowy. He has gone on to dog heaven, and I miss going for dog walks. I have to admit that I have a bad smoking habit. I am a lifelong Catholic and as time goes on it has become more and more important to me. I usually attend the Bible Study classes when our church has them and find them to be mostly very interesting. I like to go out to dinner, movies now and then, and go to Chicago. I don't go to bars much because I don't need an expensive DWI ticket. If I had to pick something to drink, I guess a glass of German wine and some German food would be good. (Anybody know a good German restaraunt?) Anybody who reads I wish you the very best. (And that at least now and then, I hope we all get that very special Peace of Christ in our lives). (And I took the profile photo myself with my telephone. I hope I look a little bit better than that, but probably look worse.

Well to sum myself up, I once had a professor tell me during a midterm evaluation that I was "pleasantly feisty". I took it as a compliment. I recently moved for a new job. I don't really know anyone. I'm a bit of an introvert, although it's getting harder to tell. I like going out with other people, but if left to my own devices will probably go for a quiet night in. I'm willing to try most things at least once. I enjoy camping, backpacking and other outdoor activities. I have a serious case of wunderlust. I also love to read (seriously, used to get in trouble for reading too much as a kid). I like to volunteer when I get the chance. I love to cook and especially bake.

Hello! Thank you for visiting my profile. First and foremost, I am a dedicated Christian and seek the same in a mate. God, family, and friends are at the center of my life. I am seeking a marriage-minded, biblical relationship. Belief in and obedience to Jesus Christ is the single most important thing to me, and I am seeking a young woman who believes the same. I was born and raised in Valparaiso, Indiana, attended college in Indiana, and attended law school in Chicago. I am now back living in Indiana. I am generally more quiet and reserved, but I certainly love to laugh and be around people! I do not pretend to be very modern or "hip," as I am proudly a conservative Christian who believes in traditional family values and the primacy of the Bible. I also believe that chivalry is not (or should not be) dead! I believe that women should always be treated with kindness, gentleness, courtesy, and respect. If you would be offended by my holding the door open for you or paying for a meal, then I am afraid I am not the guy for you. :) Although we all fall short of the glory of God, I always try to be polite, courteous, kind, respectful, and compassionate. I would say that I am gentle in spirit, but I stand firm on my convictions and faith. Again, I am generally more reserved and serious, but I think I have a good sense of humor, and I love to laugh! I love helping others. I feel incomplete or insufficient if I am not making a positive difference in others' lives. I think small acts of kindness, such as smiling to a stranger or opening the door for someone, are powerful and significant -- they are little, daily manifestations of Christ's love for us, which we are commanded to always show to others. I also love kids and am the proud and doting uncle of my sweet, little three-year-old niece and 6-month-old nephew! I also worked as a camp counselor for 1st through 8th graders one summer in college, and I was a "Big Brother" / Mentor with the Big Brothers Big Sisters program in Chicago during law school. I am an attorney at a law firm in Northwest Indiana. I feel very blessed to have a job, and I enjoy my work! In sum, God and family are the most important things in my life. My faith and attending church are of the utmost significance to me, and I try to live a genuine Christian life. I hope to one day have a Christ-centered marriage. I am Greek Orthodox, by the way. Thank you for reading my profile! God bless.

I guess I have been passionate about the people I love and my faith. My daughter is now in college, but she has been one of the main focuses in my life along with my career. My interests are animals, being out in nature, scuba diving, horseback riding, going for motorcycle rides, and boating on Lake Michigan. I also enjoy cultural and sporting events. I guess I enjoy doing a lot of different things and am up for new experiences. I feel I am a very down to earth person and someone who is easy to talk to and laugh with. I try to be considerate of other's feelings and am a very loving person. My parents have been the most influential people in my life. They have taught me to have a good work ethic, to be a person of character, and one that appreciates others, and to live a moral life.

Hi, my name is Erin. I'm a 25-year-old music/orchestra teacher from Valparaiso. I've moved around a bit but plan to be settled here for the long-haul. Besides music and teaching, I love travelling, camping, hiking, hanging out, reading, Netflix, trying new things, watching sports, along with a long list of other things. I've tried other dating sites with no success. I want to find a mature man who is committed to their faith. I am certainly not the most holy person in the world, but my faith is important to me, and I am working on strengthening my relationship with Christ.

I have lived a somewhat of a nomadic life, moving from one place to another every several years, and now I find myself in Valparaiso, Indiana (lovely place!). The gracious Lord has guided me in my life's "tour" through the USA and has alway blessed me with abdundant graces and mercy. For many years, my demanding career have kept me very busy and before I knew it a decade had flown by me! I have been hoping to meet that "special someone" and have been praying to God about this when I came across a Catholicmatch.com ad on a bulletin from a church I recently visited. So, I thought I give this a try! I am a pretty easy going guy--I think age has mellowed me out and given me some maturity and patience that I sorely lacked as a youth. Although I have much to learn about humility, I believe in treating all people with respect and kindness. I love nature and enjoy anything that has to do with outdoors, except hunting and fishing--you should see the beautiful beaches near Valparaiso!!. I like trying out and leanrning new things and visiting new places. Been to France, Peru, Korea (I was born there) and hope to visit more countries in the future. On free time, I like to exercise (go to the gym, jog, bike ect) or just relax sight seeing, watch movie. I still like playing video games, although I usually don't have time to play them :(. Although I do not have any of my own, I love children and dogs and hope to have both in the future, if God be willing.

Hi everyone, I am Peggy 🌹 and am a new member. I have tried other sites but they weren't what I expected. I don't give up that easily. I am from Chicago where I was born and raised. I came out here with my sister so we could be closer to family and adopted family. I found this town to be quaint and charming. It's a wonderful Duneland community that is close enough to the city to be considered a part of Chicagoland. It's about 45 miles and one train ride away. From here we can travel to Michigan for a day trip. I like to go for walks, fine dining, animals and shopping. I love animals and have 3 of my own cats. My house is in a park like setting, with a beautiful wooded area nearby with wild life. And summers are great on the 3 season porch. In nice weather we have a European market which is always very nice. Starts May 1 til the end of October.
