I enjoy walking, bicycling, playing cards, listening to good music, going to plays and spending time with family and friends. My Catholic faith is important to me and has been a big influence in my life. I have a granddaughter who is playing college basketball and enjoy watching her compete, as well as all of the Iowa college teams, especially the Hawkeyes. My husband and I had 54+ years together before he passed from cancer over 5 years ago. He loved to tease me and I loved to make him laugh, even if it was at me. They were good years for the most part. We raised 4 boys and 1 girl and they have given me 14 grandchildren and 2 great grand children. I love to spend time with them, but they have their own lives as I have mine. I enjoy an occasional adult beverage, either beer or a glass of wine and an evening at home or out with friends. Most of all, I love to travel and believe in all of life the journey is as important as the destination. As of 10/2016, my granddaughter has graduated college so my winters are going to be filled with more travel and adventures. I am looking forward to zip-lining sometime soon. Also would like to kayak and/or canoe more.

Well, I have no idea what God calls me to do in this life. I got a feeling that He doesn't care as long I do something for other people. So I'm into letterwriting. By hand. Old school way of using pen and paper. And not so expensive stamps, but I'm not complaining! I write letters to family and friends. I write sometimes about my everyday life, their everyday life, not doing my personal will but of God's will, and list goes on. What if I tell you that God took away my hearing? But He actually did. Not only that I'm native speaker in English but I'm also fluent signer in American Sign Language, a language close to my heart. You can say that my hearing loss story has brought me closer to God.

Hi, my name is Matt. I am a pretty easy going and honest person. I farm. It is definitely a passion for me. I am always trying to learn and do a better job. It is part of who I am and I enjoy it very much. If I'm not farming, I like watching movies, being with friends and family. I have two brothers and two sisters with nieces and nephews. They are a bunch of fun! I try to be active, farming helps with that and during the winter when thing slow down I exercise regularly. I am looking for someone who is driven to do the best she can, whether its work, family or just having fun. Someone who has a positive attitude, doesn't give up easily, who values the little things in life. Mostly someone to be happy with. There is more, but its a start.

I am the middle child of five boys. I have two sisters-in-law, two nieces, and a nephew, who is also my godson. I'm currently a full time employee at Hyvee Grocers. In my spare time, I play games, video or otherwise, read books or sing and play music. I would like to, some day, open my own restaurant/bar, because making people happy is something I enjoy in life, and food is, in my opinion, the easiest way to do this.

I enjoy a sense of tradition and look forward to things we do every year as a family. I enjoy traveling and road trips. I am pretty shy around people I don't know and I've dated very little.

A few months ago I got to Mass early and sat in the middle of a pew. As people started coming in I noticed that a family sat in front of me, then a family on one side, then the other side and a large family sat behind me. I smiled watching the moms and dads moving seats and picking up a kid and putting them down to pick up another. For the first time in my life I thought "Where is my family? I should be here at Mass with my wife and children." Why did the Lord choose to put this in my heart now at the age of 38? Since that morning I have been praying for guidance and clarification. Looking back at my life and my relationships I realized that it's only because of my own selfishness and awful decisions that lead to me being single. God, in his mercy, wanted to put this feeling in my heart. I have never seriously thought about marriage until recently. Speaking with both my Grandmothers about this they said "You still have time." With that word of encouragement and the constant reminder of the Catholic Match commercials on Relevant Radio, I have decided to be proactive about it.
