Basically I love life and love living it. I laugh at every chance I get. At first, I may appear quiet and shy but I'm very confident and passionate. I like puns, corny jokes, Reece's pieces, Nerf guns, helping others, red box, bargains, opening doors for you and Fluffy. I enjoy sports, traveling, restaurants, cultural events, and socializing with quality people. I'm always down to try new things, whether it be a new show in town, different restaurant or cuisine, or spontaneous road trips to check out this or that. I think it would be better doing these things with someone special. My older sister has been the most influential person in my life. Her braveness, patience, determination, and kindness has taught me so much and definitely shaped who I am. .

I'm divorced after 26 years of marriage. I am a mother of three boys. They are the most important part of my life. I love sports, thankfully, since my boys participate in many sports activities. I love music, and think life without music wouldn't be complete. I love being active, but need to make it more of a priority. I enjoy going out, as well as quiet nights at home talking or watching a movie. I try to be a glass half full type of person. Positive attitude is way better than the alternative. I'm passionate about teaching. I love my profession!

I grew up with my mom who is a Catholic. I live in the city but I really want to be a country girl. There is just something about living near cattle that is so intriguing, but not too far from civilization so I don't become one. I am going into Cosmetology. I especially love to be outdoors. With the outdoors comes things like climbing trees which gives you a new perspective from up high. I love doing volunteering work while interacting with people. I am a kindhearted person with a sense of humor. Sometimes, I just start mooing like a cow. After a while it gets to the point where I start growing spots. LOL :D

I am a shy person but a driven person. I will do what it takes to accomplish my life goals. I come from a very large and strongly devoted catholic family. I have a close relationship with my family, I like being with my family and enjoying life. I enjoy teaching religious education classes for younger children and I am also very involved at my parish. One of my passions is to help others, I am willing to give someone my food so they are able to eat. On my free time when my nose is not buried in a book, or on the computer for school, I like to take pictures, go on walks, sing my heart out (even though I am not the best), listen to music, and also read.

Passion is the word to motivate oneself, to do better in any subject. In this particular case my motivation is just being happy in life, doing what pleases me the most. The woman I am is book smart but as well can be street smart. With being a smart but hard working woman I've come to experience some of the most wonderful things in life. For example being a mother to my children, working in many different areas, the adventures I have with close friends; They are some the one who also influence my life, as well as God and my children. On my free time I enjoy going out here and their, reading, and many other things. Hi my name is Laura

I am passionate about life, my faith, helping others, for fulfilling my calling and using my gift God has given me to be of service to him. I look forward to helping others which is what I do day in and day out. I am truly doing what I feel God has called me to do and that brings me great peace. The experiences that I've been most influenced in my life have been the ones where I have been able to grow. I grew up in a military background all my life and have traveled the world both as part of my upbringing and then serving in the military. When you live in the military culture, you become very aware of your surroundings and learn to live life in the present moment you also learn to let go of things easily and to not get attached to things of this world. I have reached the point in my life now where I'm ready to settle down, serve God through my work and hopefully with my future partner. I am currently completing year three of a four year PhD program at the University of Iowa. I'm also a full-time marriage and family therapist. The reason I mention this is because when it comes to leisure time it has been quite the challenge for me to find a time to do much. However every free moment that I have I do spend it doing something that I love. I try to get out and walk the trails when the weather permits, meet up with friends and catch up, go to church functions or outings, find new places to visit and travel to. One of my biggest passions is astronomy. I do belong to the amateur astronomy club, I have my own dobsonian telescope and enamored with the stars and the amazing creation that God has given us in our universe. I love to learn, and I love to learn from others. To be honest, I never thought I would end up on an online dating website however due to my busy schedule and quite honestly not there being a lot to do as far as social interaction with fellow Catholics I feel this is the best step for me. I am praying that God has led me here for a reason even if it's just to make new Catholic friends.

A few months ago I got to Mass early and sat in the middle of a pew. As people started coming in I noticed that a family sat in front of me, then a family on one side, then the other side and a large family sat behind me. I smiled watching the moms and dads moving seats and picking up a kid and putting them down to pick up another. For the first time in my life I thought "Where is my family? I should be here at Mass with my wife and children." Why did the Lord choose to put this in my heart now at the age of 38? Since that morning I have been praying for guidance and clarification. Looking back at my life and my relationships I realized that it's only because of my own selfishness and awful decisions that lead to me being single. God, in his mercy, wanted to put this feeling in my heart. I have never seriously thought about marriage until recently. Speaking with both my Grandmothers about this they said "You still have time." With that word of encouragement and the constant reminder of the Catholic Match commercials on Relevant Radio, I have decided to be proactive about it.

I'm an engineer and a big family guy. I saw this site in my church's bulletin and I am just checking it out. I enjoy the simple things in life, family, friends, TV shows, sports, dancing, board games, and just spending time with good people. I love my job and I just move to Iowa a couple months ago.
