Leaving our environment in better shape than before I was born. Strict enforcement of Iowa's drainage laws and the Clean Water Act in Iowa since non-enforcement lead to my husband and animals deaths and most of the well water in Iowa testing positive for farmings' Anhydrous Ammonia and other Nitrogens and Nitrates. So I strongly support Mandatory Nutrient Reduction Strategies. I have a long bucket list that includes seeing somemore of our wonderful country with some very hopeful problem solver (like Ted Turner but not that old or as rich).

I'm a thinker and a planner but hope I don't come off as such a serious person that I appear as someone who isn't much fun. I have a good sense of humor and am always looking for new friends to share it with, in this case women who find my self-described attributes appealing. After growing up on a grain and livestock farm in NW Iowa and then on to college, I spent the next 30 years as an educator in four small to large Iowa public school districts. With retirement, I returned to my hometown. I enjoy dabbling in French and Spanish languages. Cinematography is a longtime avocation. Occasionally I get Letters to the Editor published in the Des Moines Register. My photo is a self-portrait taken in 2015.

Enjoy getting up each morning and looking forward to each days adventure. My parents taught me the value of hard work and greatly influenced my life. The religious values in my life comes from a wonderful family teaching the importance of the love of God in our lives. I attend mass every Sunday, enjoy going out to eat, enjoy movies. I also like to read, listen to good music and travel to see the sights. Meeting friends for outings and other occasions. I basically try to enjoy life as I can.

I am passionate about sharing my life with a straight thinking conservative woman. One that I can trust to use her brain before her heart, Our country and our church is in big trouble right now and we have some very important adult decisions to make. I will never date a liberal, it's a waste of time and they shouldn't even be on this site. For the right woman, I will devote every bit of my heart and energy. I have a strong provider/protector instinct as any good man should. The beauty of the Woman/Man complementary relationship, I believe, is God's 2nd greatest gift to us. I will never deny my Catholic faith as it is who I am. I know that people get distracted by the noise of life and that our Lord does not control this physical world we live in. He created this Catholic faith to help us get through our trials. THAT is His greatest gift to us. My travels to Mexico have given me a great appreciation for what we are blessed with here in the U.S. I would like to be involved with "Food for the Poor" or something similar when I have more time or in my retirement.

Hello. My name is Mike, & I'm a slightly rumpled father of 7 & grandpa to 12. I have been divorced twice & am in the process of obtaining a declaration of nullity. I'm an inveterate reader. I think I'd rather read than eat. My kidneys failed 3 1/2 years ago & I'm on dialysis (something that I wouldn't recommend as a voluntary lifestyle). I'm at the topic the transplant list, & I pray that it happens soon. Other than the above, I'm quite healthy & very happy. Most people enjoy being around me, &vice - versa. Let's talk.
