Love to laugh! I really like funny humourous movies! Sports (bigtime UofL fan!!) coaching my twin boys. Landscaping, garden works. Travel and the ability to laugh and have fun in any situation. I think i have alot to offer and alot to give. And of course a sexy smart women to be beside me in life! Pretty plain huh? I like to think of myself as sane and able to make my own decisions in all of lifes matters, including politics, religion and sex. This means that iam not either liberal nor conservative but that iam able to look at the topic at hand and make what i think would be the best decision for me and my family. This also is my position on all matters in my life, but also understand that i have a way too kind heart and try to always find compassion in my heart for others around me and i do try to do the right thing. I think this is a good trait and i just ask that you accept me for me and not dwell on what you consider my negative traits. Iam after a work in progress but with a good heart who loves to laugh and try to have a fun positive time in life. I may seem a combination of David Spade/Will Ferrell with a little Vince Vaughn thrown in for some extra spice.

I'm a Catholic mom with two children still in the nest. I am currently working as a Direct Support Provider for a home care agency. I also work part time in a local Catholic school cafeteria. With my children getting older I think it may be time to start to find someone special to share my life with. Apparently even though they are older, its still difficult to find time for myself, but I'm not one to decline the challenge. I grew up in Florida, and started working with race horses after graduation. Traveling with them to different tracks was exciting and rewarding AND I got paid to live out my passion. Ultimately my travels led me to Kentucky where I still live. Ironically, once IN Kentucky, Horse Capital of the World, I had my second of five children and quite working with horses to be a full time mother. But I still enjoy going to the races and visiting horse farms. Suggestions for introducing myself say I should list influential people in my life. So, I guess I would have to say as far as famous people go, it would be Mother Teresa. But in my small little world, Id say it boils down to a couple close friends, as well as a couple nuns who taught me in grade school, My youngest daughter is named after them (she has huge shoes to fill). I'm not going to lie. I am still struggling to find myself at age 52. I hope that doesn't sound too cliche. I wouldn't trade the years Ive been left to raise my children alone, for anything, except for maybe someone reliable to have helped me with their upbringing. I did enjoy raising them; all our family activities, the adventures we went on together, and watching them grow. Now that this part of my life is almost over, I am trying to figure out what is next. For now, in my leisure time, occasionally Ill run off to Gatlinburg or Mammoth Cave for a quick get away, But most days I sit back after a days work, talk to my youngest about her school day, and have a glass of wine. From Spring through Fall its most enjoyable on my modest back deck with a Mary Garden and when I'm lucky I'm blessed with a visit from the Hummingbirds, or at my best friends house who sits and listens to me try to figure it all out.

I am a highly educated, old-fashioned gentleman. I am considerate and enjoy making others feel happy. My interests include history, classic films, politics and nature. I believe that people can lead lives that are both rich, full and varied, while still being people of discipline and honor. Despite being a lawyer and a politics professor, I have a strong sense of humor. As human beings we are all too flawed for us to fear making fun of ourselves.

  • Tyler, 22 from Lexington, KY
    22, Lexington, KY
I am a hopeless romantic looking forward to the rest of my life. I recently graduated from the University of Kentucky with an Accounting degree and am working full-time in Lexington. I am passionate about my family and putting them first. I like to stay physically active, enjoying going to the gym, playing sports, and doing outdoor activities. I enjoy adventures including seeing new places and trying new things. I also enjoy staying in and watching a movie or playing a board game or video game. Some of my favorite things include Harry Potter, Disney World, Taylor Swift, the Legend of Zelda, my mom, and my Pembroke Welsh Corgi. I am easy-going when it comes to relationships in that I find value in the little things and am perfectly fine doing anything with my partner. Anything can be an adventure if you're with the right person! I am very much a sap; the Notebook is my favorite movie followed by Forrest Gump. I'm at the point in my life where my childhood is behind me and my adult life is officially underway. I have learned through experience that the relationship that's going work is one centered on Christ. God should be at the center of love. I'll add more to this later but for now just know that I am an easy-going guy who finds value in those who matter and in the little things!

I'm passionate about everything, really. I love my work which is landscaping. I've owned my own business for about 21 years and do most of the hard labor myself. I like physical labor, being outdoors especially in quiet settings wit birds and nature. Of course landscaping offers the rewards of being creative. In my leisure time I do some walking on a wooded trail which runs down to the Kentucky river where cliffs can be seen. Being an introvert, I like to read or be quiet if I've been around people all day. I do like to talk and can talk a lot, but sometimes silence is crucial if my batteries are to be recharged. What is most important of all is Catholicism and living for Jesus. I totally love the Mass, the Sacraments, the Blessed Virgin Mary and reading great Catholic works. For example, last week I read Pope Leo XIII's phenomenal encyclical, "Satis Cognitum." Virtually every day I talk to Catholic friends about the faith. I often talk to non-Catholics to encourage them to become Catholic. I talk to family and friends who are worldly to persuade them to come into the Church to save their souls. Or I talk to Catholics to get them to be faithful to the Church about truths they often aren't aware of.

I consider myself pretty dependable. I place a huge importance on keeping my word and honoring my commitments. I'm endlessly curious about the world we live in, so if I'm not on vacation, I'm probably planning my next one. My family is full of big personalities my childhood was filled with laughter. I guess that's where I get my sense of humor. I'm lucky enough to have found a career that I love. It's amazing how much of a positive affect it's had on the rest of my life. I look at things from a very rational and logical point of view. I believe that if you just apply a little logic, you can solve any problem. Call me an optimist, but I tend to believe that things will work, no matter how bad. My positive outlook has helped me get through a lot of challenges. I'm a "tell it like it is" person. Sometimes it gets me in trouble, but most times people appreciate knowing exactly where I stand. I'm at my happiest when I'm taking in a good show with friends this didn't just happen, though. I've been really into music since I was a kid. I think I'm pretty easy to get along with. I think it's because I like to listen just as much as I like to talk. People find it easy to communicate with me and I think that's a big reason why. People say I'm quiet-natured, but I'm actually just a really good listener. I don't talk as much, because I like to process and think before I offer my opinion. Im a movie buff. I fully embrace my nerdy side and am looking for someone who's in touch with their inner-geek too! Serving my community means a lot to me. I believe that if you're in a position to help others, you should. As a person with a disability and advocate, I serve on several local, state, and national committees. My passion is martial arts--it serves two purposes: keeping me in shape and giving me time to clear my head. If I'm not at my local dojo, I'm training to become even better at it. I believe you dont train until you get it correct; but you train until you cannot get it wrong. Overcoming my disability to become a martial artist is an accomplishment that I am proud of. It has been asked, what am I looking for? This is a difficult question for anyone and it may sound clique. But, I feel any relationship should start with a start base of friendship built upon the bedrock of honesty, trust, understanding, respect, and mutual supportmoral, emotional, spiritual, and physical.

I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I love to dance, attend concerts, plays, art museums, and visit historic towns and national parks. I appreciate watching a good movie or playing cards and board games with friends. I love to laugh and have fun! I am passionate about helping others whether in the classroom or doing service in my church or community. Doing mission work in Appalachia has heightened my awareness of all my blessings that I must share. My faith is important to me and I would love to share it. Attending Cursillo and ACTS retreats were life-changing for me- God's love and forgiveness are so real because of those experiences.
