I am a very active 5,500 year old man. I am a flight respiratory therapist for a midwest childrens Hospital. My hobbies include: dining out, running, bicycling, gardening, sport shooting, fishing, and holding Pentecostal snake handling tent revivals. ;-) Indoor activities include: building large projects and furniture. For relaxation, I enjoy reading and playing the bass guitar. I love traveling to big cities, national parks, the beach. Discovery everywhere. I love the crash of the surf on the beach, walking across slippery stones in cool mountain streams, soft pastel sunsets of the desert southwest, and lovely, fragrant colorful flowers. However, I also enjoy simple pleasures such as a glass of wine outdoors on a warm summer evening, laughter with family, holiday traditions, etc. I have rebuilt my entire house with an artistic flair in which I have woven into it's design, expressions of peace and serenity. I am setting the table of my life and am inviting you to reply. I love to write, so you might fully understand my goals, values and dreams. "I wish to have no connection with any ship that does not sail fast; for I intend to go in harm's way." John Paul Jones

First passion, my faith and relationship with God. "For through faith you are all children of God in Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ." Galatians 3:23-27. My passion in life is to run the race faithfully and complete the task set before me, that is, being a witness to the good news of God's grace~sometimes I fail. Second passion, my family~being a mother, grandma, and a sister. Third passion, being a Catholic educator, leading others to Christ and seeing God through the eyes of children is an awesome experience. My son has been influential on my life. He passed away at the age of 22 from melanoma. He was strong willed, having great faith and trust in God until he left this earth. In my leisure time I like reading, doing needlework, and gardening.

I am an easy going person, who is searching for someone with whom to share some fun. I know there is a good-natured and fun loving woman in the area, who desires the same thing. Companionship, fellowship, and the enjoyment of being with another person are the things for which we all search. A spiritual connection and an emotional bond solidify the mutual attraction. Communication, affection, and respect are the daily effects of a successful relationship. I believe that a solid mixture of physical activity, mental activity, and spiritual activity are the ingredients which afford a person the freedom to pursue the good things in life. I enjoy physical activities such as hiking, jogging, biking, playing basketball, and lifting weights. I believe these are the things which make it possible for a person to slow the aging process, and also, to stay in great physical condition. Outdoor activities, such as a walk in the woods, are relaxing and invigorating, and they are truly a blessing. Overall, I consider myself to be energetic, compassionate, passionate, and spiritual. I have been blessed with the gift of a strong faith, and I try to practice this on a daily basis.Travel?? Europe, anyone? Letsa go today.

I'm not really sure what to tell you about myself. So here goes.... I taught school for 29 years and that was very time consuming, but I really loved teaching. I worked with children who had special needs in the elementary school level. But now that i am retired I am passionate about the volunteering I do. I am a CASA advocate and I have one case. I am basically the 'voice' for children in the court system. I volunteer at BirthRight once a week. I help young moms and their children. Just recently I started volunteering in a kindergarten class. The children are so precious and so much fun to work with. My volunteering allows me to give back to my community. When I am not volunteering I like to read mysteries, historical fiction, etc. I also like to needlepoint. I have taken some classes in social work so I can best help the folks I volunteer for. A few years ago I finished a Master's in Theological Studies at St. Meinad in Indiana. The time spent there was wonderful. I have since gone there for retreats. It is so peaceful and lovely. I am hoping to go to Ireland to do some genealogy. I've done as much as I can do on the internet but I really need to check out the records. I enjoy life.

If there is music, you will find me there -- whether a concert, a band playing in a local restaurant, or at a festival. Keeping fit is extremely important for a healthy lifestyle and good eating habits are in order. Outdoor activities provide the exercise when golfing, walking, jogging, hiking or riding my bike. Reading, for me, is a very relaxing outlet. A retired business teacher, now is the time in my life to seek a man who enjoys and wants to share his life with me. Can we imagine a life together creating our own magical world. Smile, laugh, and be happy.

enjoy woodworking, reading, talking, walking (but needs work)...I tend to be quiet around people I don't know well...my experiences in the Vietnam effected me quite a bit by providing an opportunity to do many new things not possible in U.S...I've had the opportunity to travel in Asia and Europe often in the years immediately before retiring...these travels were very educational in learning to deal with other cultures, foods, etc

Hello! I have been a farm wife for most of my life and loved every minute spent on a bumpy old tractor and still miss the hard work almost 20 years later. Education, with the rearing of a teenage daughter, by myself, had to be put on hold and an income had to be made to keep a roof over both our heads. With what education I did absorbed coming in handy in our small community's job market made it easy to find a job I enjoyed those many years ago. I now own a little place with my daughter (and the bank), and divorced. I have asked parish priests about an annulment and the have advised me not to get one until I need one, just to wait. I love most out door sports as long as I have a shady place to set and watch, had enough sun in my younger years so now I take to the shade. I still like to trail ride as long as the trails are not to rough and I am riding my own horse or another good gaited horse. An antique auction, movie, or an afternoon drive or family cook out is a fun way to spend time together. A home cooked meal just the two of us or maybe, just maybe, the family for supper only, and a movie for two at home sounds wonderful to me. I have never done this before, but a church retreat might be interesting for a weekend. I am getting older every day so I will try almost anything I want to at least once. When I find time alone I like to watch a good movie, I'm a movie buff, or I try to read a book, but when I start a book that's all I want to do is read the book till it is done and then I want the story to continue for the next "20 years". I could going on writing for the next hour but every one would get bored and that special person and I would not have any thing to talk about ourselves, so I'm stopping all typing now in Introducing myself.

I am passionate about life and spending my time assuring my future is full of exploring, learning and adventures. Both of my parents' influence is still part of my life today. Now that I am retired, going to movies and concerts, taking walks, reading, playing tennis or playing bridge, planning trips to new places and signing up on catholicmatch dating sites are just a few of the activities I enjoy.

i am still learning about myself, but there are a few things I know. I love my two sons and their familes. i come from a large family, and lived in a small town until I moved to Louisville, at the age of 18. I have two dogs and one cat who share my home with me. I enjoy walking, and traveling. I went to Italy and Greece with my granddaughter. In fact, I just got home from visiting Disney in Florida. I loved the Harry Potter theme park. I still work but retirement is on the horizon. Then, I would like to learn a second language, and how to dance. I will also write a second book. i am trying to get my first one published, but as they say it is getting rejected by the best agents. Well, hope this tells you a little about me.
