I am a single guy with no one special in my life at this time. I am easy going, fun loving and like to meet new people. I am a little shy at firstt though. I warm up rather quickly though. Just a down to earth fella. Trying to see the half full cup. I spend most of my waking hours outside. I bike daily to work. Rarely watch the tv. Love to stay active. Hope to meet a nice lady who is looking to be friends and let the Lord take it from there. Finding out about someone along the way can be such a rewarding experience without rushing things. Divorcees I am not interested in.I do not have a sub here.Take care. Though widows are a totally different story. Take care and see you around. God Bless.

I am a hardworking single mom with almost grown children. I have always been creative and loved working with my hands so I continued my education to become an Art teacher. I love working with children and getting them excited about art. I love seeing the pride in their eyes when they are successful and realize they have something meaningful and valuable to offer the world through their own style of art. I have a minor in Psychology and have considered continuing my education in Art Therapy because I have seen so many wounds and scars (emotionally and mentally) in the children that I teach. I want to give them a constructive outlet for their pain so they can get past it. I love building (Working with exotic woods) and I am a working potter in my spare time. I exhibit locally. I like all kinds of music but also enjoy the peace found in silence. I'm an outside person when weather permits. Not much on sitting inside watching TV unless it's too dark to be outside (or the mosquitoes are bad). I love traveling and have taken my children to many states in our country on vacation. I think it's important for them to know and be exposed to the opportunity that awaits them. My students tease me because at the end of every class, I tell them to have a good day and to "make good choices". I believe in accountability but not in the way that the school system looks at it. I believe that every person should hold themself accountable for their actions and choices. I think it's important for youth to know that they do have choices and their choices do matter. I'm a deep thinker and at times can be moody. That's the advantage of being an artist--people expect you to be a little strange!! I don't think I am strange but I admit I have used that stereotype to my advantage in my job!! I love my children and am fiercely loyal to them. I have one in college after completing a technical degree in automotive technology, one that is a sous chef at a local restaurant (also out on his own) and my baby is a Sr. in high school. Empty nest is getting very close. I am strong willed and opinionated at times but I believe in speaking the truth. I don't believe we have the right to judge...ever. I love laughter, music, a quiet glass of wine and a good novel. At 50, I shared a tattoo experience with my daughter. I have "Ad majorem Dei gloriam inque hominum salutem" on my right wrist. It originates from the Jesuits, St Ignatius of Loyola. It is a daily reminder to me of my real job.

I moved back to Lake Charles 3 years ago to pursue my Master's degree in school counseling and I will finally graduate in May!!! WOO HOO!!! I have two boston terriers that I love to spoil and cuddle with, so my "significant other" MUST LOVE dogs! :-) With that being said, I LOVE animals! I have this crazy dream of having a farm one day with a bunch of miniature animals (they are just so dang cute)! I consider myself to be a very responsible, open minded, and compassionate person who is always willing to lend an ear or a shoulder to cry on 24-7...I love being around family and friends and jump at the chance to meet new people and make new friends...I LOVE sports (especially football)...I also love to cook, go country dancing or two-stepping to some good ole' Cajun music at one of the many festivals this great state has to offer! I also love to be out on the water fishing or tubing, kicking butt at washer-board, target shooting with my dad, listening to live bands, volunteering, etc., but one of my all time favorite things to do is sit around a fire at home with my family and friends with a good glass of wine in my hand reminiscing and laughing! Over the last few years, I have come to understand the true meaning of the words determination, perseverance, strength, humility, grace, and faith!!! Like many of us out there, my faith has gone through its share of highs and lows. However, it has always managed to lift me up and lead me back to where I need to be, and I am so very grateful to my Lord for that blessing! I am a planner and a perfectionist, but have gotten better at "letting go" and focusing on the things that I can actually control! Well, I think I covered all the basics...I hope you are enjoying my profile thus far. If you have any other questions, feel free to message me! God Bless!!

I come from a multicultural family. I am a Louisiana Creole which means I'm mixture of several races. My family has Native American, Black, French, Italian and Spanish ancestries. I grew up in a traditional Catholic family and it's still a big part of my life. I come from a large extended family and have many friends. I love to cook. I'm a good listener and have the ability to empathize with most people. I can often see multiple perspectives of an issue and use that to approach another people with respect. I'm not an argumentative person. That said, I'm not afraid of getting my point across--provided I think the other person is actually listening. I value peace and am often looking at issues from multiple perspectives. I have an oddball sense of humor and can laugh at the corniest of things. Sometimes I find the weirdest meanings in words or expressions that crack me up. Doesn't phase me that I'm probably the only one laughing. My love for Christ is and has always been central to my life. I believe truly that we must help one another and the less fortunate. It is through a true sense of charity that we feel purposeful and love. And to answer a question, I wear a red, 5-fold scapular. I'm not a paid member so responding to the smiles is limited. Lol

I am a sinner. I need Jesus, and I am thankful beyond all reckoning for His grace. NO.. I really mean that. I do and say things daily that I should not. I have habits that need to be worked on. But Jesus doesn't require perfection, He requires faithfulness. Knowledge of that truth gives me resilience in all that I do. The rest of the story: I love being from Louisiana. I love our natural landscape, I love our art and music culture, I love the passion that we have for the people and things we love. I LOVE Cajun food. (Eating and cooking!) I have a close knit group of friends and we will periodically get together, eat, have some drinks, watch something ridiculous or play music together. I stay pretty busy with work. I teach school and I'm in the Louisiana Guard, but when I'm not working some things I can be caught doing are exercising, playing board games, going to the movies, enjoying a home cooked meal with my folks, and spending time with a few of my closest friends over drinks. I also love the water and like to go swimming, camping, hiking, fishing, and kayaking, activities which I sadly have not had much opportunity for over the last 2 years. Next summer though, my schedule will calm down and I plan to enjoy the outdoors much more often. I have an odd sense of humor, strong personality, and I try so very hard not to take myself too seriously. I like to have real conversations with people. I don't mind small talk as long as it's genuine. I can get loud, and i use my hands when I talk. I do love being with people and quality time is important to me. I made all that sound pretty cool, but honestly, I'm pretty boring most of the time.

I would have to say that I am mostly quiet, but once people get to know me, I am more outgoing. Although quiet, I feel very compassionate towards others and would describe myself as a deep thinker. I also enjoy the nature and the outdoors and physical activities, especially running. Attending cultural event is also a plus for me. My favorite vacation going to Ireland a place where some of my ancestors are from. I enjoyed the cultural atmosphere and also enjoy attending festivals.
