l am a senior citizen who enjoys being with people, I do not like the idea of being alone. I have submitted my name in order to find someone who is tired of all the foolishness, not being loyal and truthful. I suppose I could go on and on, but to make a long story short, I simply do not want to waste my time or energy with someone who cannot be upfront, and for real. I have two grandchildren, one 10 yrs old here in New Orleans, and a boy 19 yrs. who resides in New York.

I am heroic and exercise courageous for the right things. I like to lose myself in a moment, to music, new viewpoints, surroundings, activities, etc.I experience life as a proactive participant; I do not like to live vicariously through others, esp through tv, though trying to prevent two mother of a wasps from infiltrating my home reminds of trying to live among the walking dead alone we all need someone. I am open and bare and willing to be vulnerable with the right people, those with whom you never really feel embarrassed because even though they love hard and straightforward, its without cruelty or judgments. They love strong because they care. I like to share, from the everyday banter to the daily, nightly fears and concerns that seem to weigh heavier in the dark. I can be a hard nut to crack, but in this current dating world, thats a necessary prerequisite. I love. Not necessarily the romantic, hand holding, locked eyes love, but the being alive in the moment lovethe unencumbered openness that comes from unabashed living. Still, there are the times I let myself get lost inside myself (and prefer to lose a guy to himself) rather than force moments, especially when space and time recharge love. Physical attraction is important, but men I've found unattractive grew handsome to me as their character shone virtuous. Regular physical activity, good hygiene, a social conscious and good-doing toward people and the planet is imperative, as well as abiding interests in outside of watching sports, hunting, politics, and drunken rendezvous, though I have varied interests myself and I understand theres a place for everything, and everything has its place. Integrity, slapstick humor, simplicity, and great adoration for music all +'s. I adore happy men. Straight-shooters with more than 'a sense of humor': a sense of beautiful understanding and the know-how to live in varying situations with different people without ever curtailing the real him. Sexy is a confident, humble, empathetic man who knows what being considerate really means, like putting on a blinker to let the world know you're turning right. I truly believe in two adages in regard to relationships: We fall for someone's personality, but we must live with their character. "Men need to feel respected to feel loved; women need to feel loved to feel respected".

The Story : Born and raised in nola by a Midwesterner, I discovered the great flavors of New Orleans predominately on my own and through friends. My friends were very important to me, and I am always looking out to befriend people in whatever circles I end up in. After Katrina, I ended up in the Midwest myself to finish my degree. The Midwest was not for me, so I job hunted in the south as a better place to start out, and so that I could be relatively close to family and old friends. With old and new friends alike, I found myself once again enjoying the richness of the Crescent City. But in 2013, I was having too much fun and broke my leg. - wamp wamp! Almost 2 years later and I am just now getting around without crutches and looking forward to getting back out there!! The Things: I like music, listening to music, playing music, watching bands play, playing my electric bass, playing in a few small bands; but I am by no means a rockstar. I love bikes, BMX, flatland, trail riding, urban cruising; but I am not a pro rider. I like cars and trucks, working on them, driving them, modding them; but I am not a racer. I like hiking, camping, climbing, hammocking, and the general outdoors; but I am not a survivalist. I like food, new/ strange cuisines, cooking, from fancy to simple meat and veggies; but I am no foodie. I like fabrication, woodworking, building, fixing, customizing, electronics; but I am not a master craftsman. I like being active, riding bikes, calisthenics, swimming, trail running, disc golf, soccer, working out; but I am not a gym rat or a sports fanatic. Some More: I like reading; I like watching movies and some tv shows; I like playing the occasional video game (mostly driving games and extreme sports games); I am getting into photography a little bit; I like going to mass, and celebrations, and discussing religion, philosophy, morals, and ethics; and, of course, I love my family and friends (Period). The Sum Up: As you can see, I dabble in a lot and I enjoy many things, but I am not necessarily an expert at them!

I am a person who loves life and believes to live in the present because this is all we have, therefore I believe hat we should always do our best treating others as we want o be treated. Most important things to me are God family and country. Political and religious sentiments are personal, therefore I avoid judgements,do not believe in gossip but always will help someone if sick and distressed if I can do so. I enjoy being in nature, mountains, beaches sunsets and sunrises especially on the water. Love fishing, watching some sports, dining out ,shopping and cooking especially for family and friends. Animal lover, dogs, cats, birds etc. Go to fitness center 3x's weekly for fitness ,swimming, walking, dancing, and yoga. Believe in the 6th sense God gave us the sense of humor ,because we are all of his children and He wants us all to be happy, after all we only have this one life to live and we should always make the best of it. God gave us the gift of life and what we do with it is our gift to HIM.

Hi, I'm Kourtney! Thanks for viewing my profile. Here's a little about me: I love the Lord a lot and need someone who appreciates that. I am a people person but also need quiet time to myself to recharge. I love to laugh, and I can be really silly. I sing every day, pretty much. I'm also a cantor at mass some weekends. My coworkers and patients describe me as "the girl who sings". I (not-so-secretly) love that! I'm a physical therapist and love my job. It surely takes a lot out of me, but I know it's what I'm supposed to do as an occupation. I'm learning how to west coast swing dance as well as play piano. It's a great time in my life! It's being enriched with beauty, in my opinion. I'm not a super serious person, but I do have a good understanding of when it's appropriate to be serious and when to be goofy. God bless you on your journey! I hope more than anything you get to know yourself and the Lord and then your future missus!

I look forward to meeting that special man for me, with whom I can start a family. But I want us to build that relationship upon friendship first. The Virgin Mary has been an important influence in my life. I strive to emulate her compassion and gentleness of spirit. In my leisure time, I enjoy watching old films from the 1930s to 1950s. I also like to make crafts, and kayak in city park. Swing dancing is one of my favorite things to do!
