    38, New Orleans, LA
Very active, athletic, good humored, always willing trying something new, laid back, and happy go lucky. I am also very family oriented and enjoy spending time with my family at every available opportunity(museums, movies, dinner, or vacations). I also enjoy hanging out and playing with my dogs, Cain and Boo. In my spare time I am busy working around my new house, playing league ball(soccer, volleyball, softball, & flag football - not necessarily in that order), rock climbing, or out volunteering. My volunteering has lead me to Rebuilding Together, Nature Conservancy (tree planting, plant rescues), and Susan Komen Foundation(5K run). I enjoy going to plays and have gone to my first opera (getting cultured slowly but in process)

  • Mary, 66 from New Orleans, LA
    66, New Orleans, LA
I'm a native New Orleanian, raised in a traditional family, educated in parochial and Catholic High School, then went on to college where I got my B.A. in Sociology. Although I have not practiced in my field, I utilized the knowledge in my marketing and public service careers. I enjoy learning and, to me, life is an open book. I respect people who abide by the laws, are kind-hearted, considerate and responsible. I also love a stimulating conversation, good music, conviviality and, as we say in New Orleans, Laissez le Bon Temps Roule. I have close family ties despite being scatterred across the country and now the world. Makes for very interesting conversations. For a lady, I am handy and can hold my own with a sewing machine, a lost art. I try daily to "Walk the Walk".
  • Maria, 23 from New Orleans, LA
    23, New Orleans, LA
Hello! I'm Maria. A few things about me in a nutshell: I try to stay in the present moment and live a balanced life, noticing all the little gifts along the way. It's so easy to get lost in the busyness of life and forget what is truly important, but I believe it is crucial to keep one's priorities in line with God's priorities if we want to fulfill the purpose he has for us. I love nature and doing outdoor activities, they are a huge source of peace and fun for me. I like cooking, dancing, and doing anything creative. I enjoy making people laugh, which is not the most unique thing you've ever heard I know, but laughter and joy are so important and are gifts from the Holy Spirit when they are in their appropriate place. Lastly, my Catholic faith and my family are two of the most important things to me and so are a big part of my everyday life. I am looking for someone who shares similar beliefs, values, and interests. Peace :)

I am passionate about my children. I love spending time with them and seeing their futures unfold before me. My faith is the most influential part of my life. I really don't have much leisure time but expect it to increase soon. I do like experiencing all New Orleans has to offer - things I haven't been able to take advantage of - festivals, music, parks, etc..
  • Nicholas, 31 from New Orleans, LA
    31, New Orleans, LA
I really enjoy being with family. I am very passionate about my goals and wanting to accomplish them with diligence. These include starting my own business and trying to get involved with more service work. One of the most influential experiences I have had invovled working the Special Olympics. I really enjoyed working with the kids. In my leisure time, I like to read, exercise, spend time with friends and go to festivals in New Orleans.
  • Scott, 32 from New Orleans, LA
    32, New Orleans, LA
The Story : Born and raised in nola by a Midwesterner, I discovered the great flavors of New Orleans predominately on my own and through friends. My friends were very important to me, and I am always looking out to befriend people in whatever circles I end up in. After Katrina, I ended up in the Midwest myself to finish my degree. The Midwest was not for me, so I job hunted in the south as a better place to start out, and so that I could be relatively close to family and old friends. With old and new friends alike, I found myself once again enjoying the richness of the Crescent City. But in 2013, I was having too much fun and broke my leg. - wamp wamp! Almost 2 years later and I am just now getting around without crutches and looking forward to getting back out there!! The Things: I like music, listening to music, playing music, watching bands play, playing my electric bass, playing in a few small bands; but I am by no means a rockstar. I love bikes, BMX, flatland, trail riding, urban cruising; but I am not a pro rider. I like cars and trucks, working on them, driving them, modding them; but I am not a racer. I like hiking, camping, climbing, hammocking, and the general outdoors; but I am not a survivalist. I like food, new/ strange cuisines, cooking, from fancy to simple meat and veggies; but I am no foodie. I like fabrication, woodworking, building, fixing, customizing, electronics; but I am not a master craftsman. I like being active, riding bikes, calisthenics, swimming, trail running, disc golf, soccer, working out; but I am not a gym rat or a sports fanatic. Some More: I like reading; I like watching movies and some tv shows; I like playing the occasional video game (mostly driving games and extreme sports games); I am getting into photography a little bit; I like going to mass, and celebrations, and discussing religion, philosophy, morals, and ethics; and, of course, I love my family and friends (Period). The Sum Up: As you can see, I dabble in a lot and I enjoy many things, but I am not necessarily an expert at them!

I love zydeco, cajun and ballet dancing; I also love raptors and work with my own 18 birds. I am always moving, taking care of my birds, yard, and house. I love being a Catholic and finding people who share their faith. I love families and going to family events especially since I no longer have one here. I love God's creation, exploring it , learning about it and helping people how to take care of it. I love to dance and i would not be happy with someone who did not share that activity. I believe in taking care of our health and would like to share that aspect of life too.I am not a fancy person , afraid of hard work and often are found in work clothes taking care of my home responsibilities. I give raptor presentations for schools, camps, libraries, festivals and Whole Foods.
  • Brandy Suzanne, 45 from New Orleans, LA

I look forward to sharing my life and my faith ( he must be Catholic) with a good, decent man of excellent character, honest and kind, who likes to laugh as much as I do. I hope he likes to do fun things as I do, but yet has a serious side which would contribute to good communication. I am a fun, loving and caring person! I love to smile and laugh often. I like to go out and have fun, dance, and have a great time! I like to sky dive(it's been awhile, but would definitely do it again), would like to learn how to scuba dive, I have a wild side, but also a stay at home watching a move snuggling side too! I like to dress up and go out, but I also can go hiking and have fun! An experience which has been influential in my life have been my serious study of classical ballet which taught me gracefulness, structure and discipline. Also I've been blessed to have been able to travel to places such as the Grand Canyon, Ireland, and Scotland. The birth of my first child was a life changing experience. People who have a great impact in my life are my grandparents and great grandmother and a great aunt who lived with us. Also influential were my parents, brother and sister. I love to dance and have fun at parties and get together with family and friends. I am a very hard working and active person & love outdoor activities. (I also enjoy volunteering to help others).

I lost my wife of 21 yrs to breast cancer the year b4 Katrina. My son was 8 years old. He's now 20 in his third year in college. I ready to find someone to share the rest of my life. Aftet a six month stay in Touro, I'm learning how to walk again after back surgery. I volunteer on the spinal chord unit as a pier mentor. I've been in real estate for 30 years. I sell shrimp. I'm also writing a book about my life. The most important way I could describe myself is in February 2015, I began a conversion with The Father! Every day of my life is better than the day b4! It is a wonderful way to live!
