68, Baton Rouge, LAWe should make each day count, use the gifts God has given us, and avoid looking to the past and understand God has forgiven us, look to tomorrow, and truly believe He will never forsake you. Personally I have always felt comfort within the Catholic Church..childhood churchgoing,.1st and 2nd communion, Confirmation, religion classes, the mass, and marriage. For years a lukewarm parishoner, i have rededicated myself and received more than expected and blessed each day.Would enjoy spending time with a friend: Times like :Travel, playing tennis, dancing, fishing, collecting from flea mkts. and antique shops, the Great outdoors(esp. the BEACH),dining, watching movies, enjoying times with friends and family....
78, Mandeville, LAI deeply enjoy family life and helping to make it a a place of love and support where each member can grow to be more fully the people they are. God must be foremost in the family and the family can help all its members grow in love and service of others and in love for God. I enjoy sharing in family events and activities with friends. I enjoy all outdoor activities--running, biking, gardening, etc. Growing in our faith and love for God and others is integral to all I do. My health is excellent and I enjoy being physically active and exercise most days running, health club workouts, grass cutting, gardening, biking, nature hikes, etc. My Catholic faith has been an integral part of my life. I want to continue to live our faith with God's grace as fully as I can. That is why I have come to Catholic Match.
52, Carencro, LAMy faith in God keeps me going know there's always a reson for things in our lifes that happen even in the dark times when things seem down and out. The other side the sun always shine through just takes time.positive out look. Comedy, and laughter good meds for the day.
28, West Monroe, LAMy name is Valerie. A lot of people call me Val. Doesn't matter to me. Is this weird to anyone else? Since I live in Northeastern Louisiana, there are not a whole lot of Catholics. I thought maybe the man God has for me would be on here? Also, there are a shortage of men that believe everything the church believes. They're all important. You can't be picky, choosy on them. I'm hoping someone on the site feels the same. I love life and everything it has to offer. I am a very happy person. I know it is not ideal for most people to date someone with a child, which is another reason I have joined this site. I have a beautiful daughter who is my world. I am blown away every day at the fact that she is my daughter and how amazing she is. Seriously, she is the most awesome kid. There's zero drama in this part of my life, which I have found out is rare. I enjoy having me time to unwind, so I'm not the clingy type. I enjoy working out. I rather enjoy walking/running. Done a couple of marathons for fun. (Not competitively) I really enjoy tennis and basketball. People have told me I'm down to earth, kind and very trustworthy. I enjoy hunting and fishing and being outdoors. I love animals. I have a German Shepherd that is the bees knees. I fostered her and ended up wanting to keep her, of course. I love corny jokes probably way too much. I am also a bit sarcastic at times, but I promise it's in good taste. I'm not a jerk. I LOVE to laugh and make other people laugh. I also know when to be serious though.
68, Baton Rouge, LAI am a Louisiana native and 68 years old. I am a veteran who served during the Vietnam era. I am a widower. My late wife and I were married for 46 blessed years and we loved each other dearly. We never had any children and therefore I don't have anyone left except distant nieces and nephews. If you are reading my profile and have children, I would welcome yours. I enjoy simple things in life, like cooking, fishing, yard work and growing vegetables on an amateur basis. I attend first Tuesday of the month Novena Mass and each Saturday Mass at 4 PM. For a part of my days I do watch the news, especially the financial ones. I am now at a point in my life where I have asked myself a lot of hard questions. My faith in the Good Lord has made me realize all that I have been given by Him and I give Him thanks for all that I have. I am the most thankful to Him for my late wife and our marriage for all those years. My wife passed away a year and a half ago, and I feel that I should now begin to seek someone and know she would want me to do that. I would have wanted the same for her if I had gone first. I am retired and very financially secure. I have two homes and have just resolved some legal issues on the second one I will ultimately move there. The one I have in Baton Rouge was in the record flood. I am navigating its repairs now. I will sell it when it is ready. I consider myself a regular looking fellow, not fat, thin on top, and have experienced mileage (LOL) aka some wear and tear. Been wearing eyeglasses pretty much since grade school. I am also a cancer survivor. My plans for the short term are to focus on my second home and get it repaired after winning a legal battle on its construction defects. I will begin to do some more fishing. Louisiana has been very blessed with this resource. Much of this very good fishing is within a short drive from both of my homes. I do sneak in a game of racquetball once or twice a week and shoot regularly on a billiards league team with APA. I am also an active Parrothead Club member. For those that never heard of the Parrothead term, we are dedicated fans of Jimmy Buffett and that style music. If you are interested in messaging me please do so. i would welcome your messages. With common interests and getting to know each other over time, hopefully one day she and i would fall in love and would finish our days together. p.s. cooking alone sucks!
46, Lafayette, LAHi, there I am truly blessed to have a wonderful life with good friends and family. Many religious people have helped me on my path of life and directed me in the right direction. I enjoy many outdoor activities.
48, Baton Rouge, LAI like having good conversations with people who share my values and interests, but I also like learning from other people who may have have differences in opinion: everyone has unique experiences that shape their world views and this adds value to the conversation! My passions are children, teaching, and agriculture. I love nature and being in the outdoors so I can get in a good hike, run, or bike ride. Mornings are the favorite part of my day, I love watching the sun rise! Sunsets are beautiful, too. My hobbies include gardening and arranging flowers. I am an animal-lover, so I am into bird-watching and playing with dogs (and raccoons too!). I love to read because I am always wanting to learn new things. My favorite book topics include religion, history, architecture, and decorating. The people who have most influenced my life are my grandparents and my family. My grandfather was my first teacher. He taught me how to pick stink bugs and potato bugs off tomato plants when I was two-years-old! When I was about five, he taught me how to break suckers off the tomato plants, and by about age seven, I was tying a whole bunch of tomato plants on our family truck farm! I literally grew up in a pea patch, picking crowder and purple hull peas was my main responsibility! My grandmother was my role model. She really loved my grandfather and her children and grandchildren. Besides her love and warmth, her best attribute was her cooking! Unfortunately, I stayed outside helping raise vegetables instead of inside cooking them!
