I am a fun loving, easy-going, hard working person that enjoys the simple things in life. I am a big fan of laughter, especially those deep belly ones. Family is very important to me, as are having close friendships with people I can be real with and not have to put on false fronts. I love to laugh, and I appreciate others who can laugh at their own imperfections (as i do quite often), but aren't afraid to work on their imperfections. My faith in God is very important to me, and I desire relationships with others who share that faith in God and value chastity and purity in a relationship. i am very comfortable showing affection, but I believe most physical affection is best reserved for marriage because it allows a couple to truly get to know each other, communicate well, and develop true intimacy and friendship. I am a man that knows what he wants and constantly works on goals to achieve it so my goal for being on this site is to meet my future spouse and have a family. We will become best friends, and we will work together as equals to lead each other to heaven. If you believe in the same goal and like to working as a team send me a message!

I lost my wife in June of 2015. She died the day before our 45th anniversary after a three year battle with cancer. I have worked very hard at the grieving process. I attend daily Mass and walk two miles most days to reduce the stress of my loss and believe I have turned the corner. I miss the companionship and intimacy of my marriage. I like to spend Winters in Florida and would like to visit Western National Parks and cruise. I am a value shopper but my wife thought I would not get away with being so thrifty with a new wife. I enjoy hiking, building projects and growing tomatoes. I am handy around the house! My goal would be to marry a widow who had a strong marriage. My next wife should put her faith first and honor her first husband with her life as I will honor my first wife. I have two married daughters and seven amazing grandchildren ranging in age from 8 to 20. Both daughters live in Maine and were Chemical Engineers and married Chemical Engineers. Both daughters are able to stay home with their children and faith is a cornerstone of their families. I am working to have at least one of my grandchildren follow me as a Civil Engineer. I graduated from UNH in 1971. I retired in 2007 and had almost eight wonderful years in retirement before my wife's death.

I have decided to take charge of my non existent love life by trying this way of dating. I love my job and my friends. I enjoy living on a lake and the benefits that come with that. Being able to kayak, swim, ski and skate in my backyard is very rewarding. I am a huge fan of the Red Sox and attempt to get to a least a game a year.

I am passionate about being alive. I look forward to waking up in the morning. The most influential experience in my life was working in an insane asylum for ten years. I discovered the emotional part of my being. I became a complete person. I found out where my soul is. What happens to you when you die. Where heaven and hell are. In my leisure time I enjoy visiting with my family, doing nothing, camping, canoeing, swimming, walking, playing roulette, betting on the horses, and managing my money so that it will last as long as i do

I look forward to going out to places with my friends. I love seeing new places. I love walking, hiking, traveling, going out to eat, reading, movies, meeting new people. I have not been free to marry so I've remained single thinking I was too old to date now. Several of my friends who are older than I am are now dating so I'd like to give it a try. I feel I have a lot to offer another single person. Being a retired teacher, I have lots of good memories to share with others. I love people. Enough for now. Are you out there?

Currently a full-time second-year human biology student at the University of Southern Maine. I love to explore places and take advantage of travel opportunities as much as possible. My faith is what keeps me grounded and keeps my spirit elevated and jubilant. I love connecting with young Catholic adults who share the same values as me. In addition to being a student, I am a math tutor at USM's Portland campus library and I work at Maine Medical Center as a CNA. Ultimately, I would love to end up in the medical field as a physician or PA. Family is extremely important to me and among my top priorities. In my free time I love to hike, explore new cities/places, learn foreign languages (studying American Sign Language as a minor!), and cook/eat food! Experiencing different cultures is also a hobby of mine along with trying ethnic foods. Running is a big part of my life and a major outlet I use for stress relief. Overall, I love to maintain a balanced and healthy lifestyle full of faith, learning, family, and adventure!
