I am a single person never married, patient, compassionate and a good listener. Although I am a shy and reserved person; I will open up once I get to know you. I love life in general, have many interests and am very physically active. I enjoy doing spinning classes and working out in the pool. I also enjoy reading, arts and crafts, movies, bicycling, hiking, cross-country skiing, eating out and cooking. I’ve also been involved in a community garden this past summer. I have learned over the course of time that I can do whatever I set my mind to. My faith also plays an important role in my life, as I am very active in my church as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister. I also participate in a faith-sharing group and a rosary reciting group. I enjoy what life has to offer and am looking for a lady with which to share this.

I am intuitive and an idealist! I have many interests because I like to learn but I am most passionate about God, family, friends and living out my Faith in the world. I am not afraid to get involved in tough causes. I love to laugh, be out in Nature and to write and play music. I like to be active but I also appreciate times of solitude now and then.

I am passionate about my faith, family and friends. My parents were the most influential in my development. Life experience has also played a big part in my life. I would like to think that I am a better person as I grow older. My friends and family say that I am a young "78"....I do love to play golf, travel, movies, theater, cruising, I guess that I would say that I like to have a good time!.

Ready to start a new phase in my life ... I enjoy family, home as well as travel, quiet times as well as fun loving activities, strong faith and commitment to what I believe in .... I have worked full time in the health care field for the past 35+ years, and am looking forward to retiring and pursuing my 'bucket list' in the very near future .... Some of my hobbies include reading, sewing, stained glass work, and travel. I regularly donate home made crafts to the local holiday fairs at the facilities I have worked at. One of my long time post-retirement wishes is to volunteer at a Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit, rocking sick babies who are there for extended stays, with parents who can't always be there. I witnessed this need first hand after the birth of my grandson several years ago ..

I am a friendly, family-oriented person with healthy interests in the good things of life. I enjoy the natural world, visiting museums, churches, city sights, and the great outdoors. I like to read, stay abreast of current affairs, and learn new things and new skills. I appreciate meeting new people -- young and old alike -- and I am involved in some good activities in my community. I enjoy the four seasons of New England but find myself growing more partial to the summers and warm weather.
  • Karen, 68 from Swans Island, ME
    68, Swans Island, ME
I am a serious person who has a lot of compassion for others. I live on an island off the coast of Maine and have been here for three years. A long story. My faith is my most important possession. My life has been challenging I suppose but I learned at a young age to survive. Although I have always had my faith it has been in recent years that it has become so important. Leisure time is writing, reading, a bit of gardening. I am working six days a week right now as an administrative assistant and billing manager. I am retired civil service with 26 years in contracts administration for Department of Defense as well as six years in the military as a journalist and photographer. The people that have most influenced my life are people that deeply care and love others. I am still praying for God's will each day and what His plan is for me. I continue to grow. I find this new way of meeting people a bit challenging, but thought it might be interesting.
