Faith is not blind when our trust is in God, / He gives us the signs to guide our way, / As we travel safely in the arms of God, / Our ticket to peace is the prayers we pray. I am a quiet, extremely shy person with a personality that loves adventure!!! It sometimes takes me a while to feel comfortable with new people. But to the people that know me, I am extremely passionate about everything that I do. I believe life is too short to live half-heartedly. I enjoy cycling and I also enjoy walking my dog, Lisieux. I enjoy walking on the beach and listening to the waves. I also love to ice skate!!! I love New England as I was raised in Vermont and I have lived in New Hampshire and now Maine. My faith is a big part of my life. I go to Mass a often as I can. I also attend Eucharistic Adoration every Sunday morning. I try to say the rosary every morning and evening. I sing in the choir and although my voice does not have a lot of volume, I do sing with all my heart. I have a dog and a cat and although I have never really been a "cat" person, this little guy needed a home, so I took him in. It is quite comical to see Alvin, the cat playing with Lisieux. I love life and would like to have someone to share the beauty as well as all the little gifts that God sends us everyday! As much as I miss having someone special to share my life with, I think developing a friendship should come first. -- I look forward to hearing from you.

After trying a few on-line sites, I have realized that I am seeking a woman who is religious in background, believes in God and has faith. I have recently moved to Clinton, Maine to be with my daughter and her husband to help out on the Farm.

I am a fun loving and caring person. I put the Lord first in all things. I grew up in MA but spent summers on the Maine coast. My first job was making submarine sandwiches for the tourists...I made $0.07 a sub which I thought was fabulous. I'm still working but in high-tech sales making more than minimum wage (praise God)! Each day is a gift for me and I set out (not too early) with that in mind. I was engaged twice in my life but both times, God called these men home to Him. I figured maybe he had something other than marriage in mind for me. Religious life was out although a priest once told me I'd make a good nun...I really don't think so. So here I am, wondering if I'll meet my soul mate or maybe just make a good new friend.

I am a divorced Catholic man with three kids who mean everything to me. The kids don't live with me, but I work very hard at being a good father to them. I am a engineer with a stable career. In the past I worked with the church with at risk kids in Mexico and worked at a orphanage in Bolivia. I also in California I worked with the homeless and migrant kids, again through the church. Right now I am not doing any service to the poor, and just working as an engineer and trying to be a good Dad. When I have spare time, I like to work on restoring cars. That is me main hobby. I like hiking, art museums, historical places etc. I consider myself in good shape and sincere, honest guy. I am looking for maybe a friendship relationship, but open to other possibilities.

I love the ocean. When I am near it, I can not breath deeply enough to take it with me. I love to walk on the beach. I love to collect sea shells. I love to ride in boats. I love to ride on motor cycles, I love to take afternoon naps. And so much more. . . The people most influential in my life are my high school coach. She inspired me to reach for the moon. My step grand father. He showed me all about the wonders of life. He spoiled me with special treats, like coke and peanuts and butter. I loved him so much and still do. I loved my grand mother. She taught me how to cook and loved me like no other. An last but not least, my mom. She taught me how to sew and be a wonderful human being. She is no longer with us, but I know she is with me daily. I think life is something to cherish daily. Never take it for granted. I am thankful to God daily.

I live an active life; family, work, outdoors, spiritual life. Family focused, I have two grown daughters and a granddaughter who I love spending time with. Spiritual life is a central part of my life, am blessed to be part of a very supportive church community. Friends say I am quiet and easy going. They are probably right, they know me best. I am a skier, road biker, hiker, kayaker, and other things that get me outside. My primary indoor activity is woodworking, enjoy building furniture. I am pretty good at it, ( I still have all of my fingers). Looking forward to some new adventures and, God willing, perhaps someone to share them with.

I am a serious person who has a lot of compassion for others. I live on an island off the coast of Maine and have been here for three years. A long story. My faith is my most important possession. My life has been challenging I suppose but I learned at a young age to survive. Although I have always had my faith it has been in recent years that it has become so important. Leisure time is writing, reading, a bit of gardening. I am working six days a week right now as an administrative assistant and billing manager. I am retired civil service with 26 years in contracts administration for Department of Defense as well as six years in the military as a journalist and photographer. The people that have most influenced my life are people that deeply care and love others. I am still praying for God's will each day and what His plan is for me. I continue to grow. I find this new way of meeting people a bit challenging, but thought it might be interesting.
