It's hard to write about yourself, in such a way, so as to get your portrait out there without sounding like a sales pitch, or just bragging up a storm. So, here goes. I have, for the most part, an outgoing personality and am somewhat of an extrovert. I like most people I meet and love to be social and love to laugh, yet I enjoy contemlative time too. I am young at heart and keep myself in good shape. I work hard and play hard and have a competitive nature. I love my family and value my friends. I don't take friends for granted and dislike being taken for granted. I'm happiest in a pair of genes and a flannel shirt wearing a worn out basebll cap working on a project. I am trustworthy and honest and loyal. I do not put on fronts, so what you see is what you get. I am a little rough around the edges, with a slightly tough exterior, but the interior is soft and a bit too sensitive. I am politically savy and conservitive in my views. I love music. I don't watch a lot of TV, but do spend a fair amount of time on the computer, especially during the winter months. I love the Lord Jesus and try to live my life accordingly. I am a bit of a procrastinator when it comes to important decisions, but when I do finally decide, I get things done.I feel that there are very tough times ahead for our country in the very near future, and would love to homestead and be self sufficient.

I am a 39 year-old, divorced, father of a daughter. I am a teacher and writer. I enjoy horses, ballroom dancing, and concerts. When I am not writing, teaching, or with my daughter, I enjoy running, hiking, traveling, and dining. No journey should be taken alone forever. What we share with one another brings value to life and allows God's light to emit from within. I pray. Alot. I would say that I am spiritual, intrigued by mysticism. I love visiting various churches.

Simply put my life is devoted to reading and writing. I'm trying to write fiction like short stories. It is really difficult but I enjoy it. I like to read fiction like William Faulkner, Foyodor Dostoyevsky, the Greek tragedies, Cormac McCarthy. I like to read philosophy like Aristotle. I like to read scientific papers on genetics. I just want to learn as much as I can. I like going on hike. Being in nature quiets the mind.

A widower who's trying to adjust to a new life with two teenage sons my oldest has special needs both are the joy of my heart. Trying to rediscover my old hobbies such as photography and doing historical reenactments. I have learned many things these past twenty years one is no matter the ups or downs trust in God's plan which to me is similar to a high-wire act with no safety net. Must tell you up front, my late wife had suffered all her life from a long illness, but if you had met her, you would have found the most generous soul with such empathy that despite her suffering was always in a cheerful disposition always thought of others before herself. She inspired me every day even though I still feel so unworthy to have been her husband. Back then before the last two years of her life before the prescription medication killed her, Deana was a fighter. You see Deana, and I had two sons our oldest son was vaccine injured that left him on the autism spectrum. When our son with autism was about 2 and a half, he went from developing normally to just shutting down. For the first year, our son struggled. Deana had gone to school wanting to be a special ed teacher way back in the late 80's early 90's. During this time Deana did her best to learn about autism, but services were so hard to come by where we live in Maine back then. Deana knew some things about special ed law and what state agency to tap on for help. With all this taking care of our son's needs and her health wore her, so it obliged me which was my cross to stay home to help take care of her and to help look after our son. Deana got disability, and I did some online retail.
