38, Andrews Air Force Base, MDI am a military brat who decided to join the military myself to travel and see the world. I have two amazing boys 9 and 6 that keep me busy but bring so much life to my days. I'm very family oriented and love to have fun. I moved to Maryland two years ago to be close to my family in New Jersey.
22, Andrews Air Force Base, MDMy name is Sarah, or Curly, whichever is easier. Born and raised in Colorado, traveling the country to see relatives, I consider Nebraska my second home. While I have very little desire to have kids, I'm open to the possibility. I was raised Catholic and in a small town. Very family oriented. Shorty after I was Confirmed, I became an Atheist. I felt that the faith that I had in God and the Church were... inherited... I was Christian/Catholic simply because I was raised to be and I felt that deep down I really didn't believe. I figured it's better to be an honest Atheist than a fake Christian. Meanwhile, I graduated High School, earned my Associates and enlisted in the Air Force which has brought me here to D.C.. I was in a relationship with a Christian for about 5-6 months before he started hitting the Bible Study really hard on a quest for the Truth. I had been wanting to work on my faith so I joined him. But I was like a rubber band, the more I was digging into the Bible the more I would snap back to being atheist. There came a point in time where my boyfriend had to call it quits because I didn't want to date/marry an atheist. But I had been fighting so hard to keep him. and the moment he broke up with me I felt relief, and I realized that I had been attached to all the wrong things in life. it took a week that whole next week for that spark to light up my faith. And I felt God's hand in bringing me to this point in my life. I would not have the passion for Christ as I do now, if it weren't for admitting that I was atheist and feeling the discomfort of the dark before I could appreciate the light. So now I go to Mass as often as I can. I go to as many Bible studies as I can. I get invited to all sorts of different Churches by my Bible Study sisters and I'm enjoying discovering Jesus from every angle I can, especially from the Catholic angle. To the point that I'm going to get my Bachelor's in Catholic theology.
