50, Bethesda, MDI’m being asked to describe myself. Well, what I can do is tell you how I view myself and how I hope the world sees me. That would be as a very genuine, caring and down to earth man whose Catholic faith is an essential part of his life. I'm known to be open with my feelings, very loving, sensitive and close to my family and friends. I stay active and take good care of myself, physically, mentally and spiritually. I love doing all those fun things associated with DC…exploring restaurants, restaurants, going to wine tastings, Wolf Trap, Kennedy Center, Annapolis, Old Town, the zoo, museums. I enjoy biking down Rock Creek, hiking and picnics in Great Falls, taking in a show at the National or Warner Theatres and going to concerts at Merriweather. I also do enjoy sports, as I have season tickets for the Redskins and am also a big Caps and Terps fan. (U. MD Grad here!) I am quite multifaceted in my interests…just as comfy at an elegant dinner party as I am shooting pool at a dive. Can easily sip a glass of fine Merlot at a nice restaurant or hang out and watch a game at a sports bar. I also like the quiet evenings at home. Just staying in and cooking dinner (and yes, I CAN cook pretty well), watching a movie and cuddling. And as for romance, well, I love it. I am extremely affectionate when I am with someone that I care about. Love to hold hands, hug, kiss, play with hair and snuggle. I believe that that is one of the best ways to express yourself—to tell someone you think they are special. Can you appreciate a guy who is a true gentleman-who is clean cut, well mannered, respectful of other, slightly sophisticated…but loves to have fun too?!
63, Rockville, MDLife is short! Let's savor the good times like good food and and fine wine. I love to have my house filled with good friends, good conversation, laughter and love. I love to be out hiking, riding bikes, paddling in a canoe, working in my garden or sitting by the ocean. I like to travel, go to museums, plays and concerts. I am someone whose hands are usually busy. There is nothing I like more than a good home improvement project. I come from a long line of artists and love to have my hand in some project or other, usually something messy. When it comes time to chill, you can find me in comfy clothes reading in bed or by the fireplace. I am not one to spend too much time in front of the TV. I like to put things in order, although I am not a neat freak. Spending quality time with my teen daughters, my two favorite people in the universe, is very important to me. I think living life is not so much about what you are doing but who you are doing it with. It would be an amazing grace to find new love and friendship in this my second, and perhaps finer act. When I was younger, I thought I knew what I wanted and how to get it. Now I'm ready to ask God what He wants for my life and to ask His help to get me there. I'm learning to live in the present, in the moment and with purpose. I guess that's progress.
66, Davidsonville, MDMy passions are family, friends and faith. I am missing a partner with whom to share my life. My father has had the most influence in my life. Dad taught me to be dependable and always deliver more than you promise and never promise what you can't deliver. I enjoy sports, broadway shows, travelling, and dining at nice restaurants.
64, Frederick, MDEnjoy reaching out to help persons who are ill, in need of help. I spend my time reading articles on the mind, energy and thought processes. The people I help, influence me the most. Love going to Mass, the more the better for me. My energy come from my spirituality, which was a key part of my growing up in Washington, D.C. Area. Simple things in life are the best, sunsets, walking on the c & o canal, the beach and boardwalk in Ocean city, New Jersey. Swimming, photography, and reading are my current passions. Enjoy dancing, and traveling, now.
59, Frederick, MDOne of the first things you'll notice about me is my English accent. I was born and brought up in England, although I am now a naturalized American citizen. Since I was young I've had a "God bug" - wanting to find out more about the Lord; and a 'creativity bug" - wanting to explore ways at looking at, and learning about life through poetry, theater, spoken word - all sorts of creative forms. I was also born with a yearning for adventure, and a love of food and feeding people. So over the years I have explored all of those passions and I've had an eclectic career in several different nations - usually as a freelancer. I've been: a newsreader on Gibraltar television; a restaurant critic for a glossy magazine on the south coast of Spain; a creativity director for a Christian healing and equipping center in Canada; raised up a cross-cultural performance poetry team in South Africa not long after the ending of apartheid; started the now thriving creativity department in a large London church; inadvertently taken a six-week bus trip from North Finchley tube station in London to Delhi, India with a group of Hell's Angels; and been a chaplain at the largest men's prison in Maryland (where the insights gained on that bus ride helped enormously!) I am now a professional storyteller telling true, personal stories that make people laugh and think. And I certainly have tales to tell. Who would have thought that some of my odd experiences would turn out to be so useful? My heritage is strongly Irish Catholic though - so telling stories comes naturally! I have lovely friends. They tell me that I'm: kind; compassionate; nurturing; encouraging; an excellent cook; and that I have a great sense of humor. It is true that I love to laugh, and I thoroughly enjoy making other people laugh. Shared laughter is a glorious gift! I have never married, and don't have children - but I love them. I want to rectify both those things. I'd love to marry a kind, intelligent, caring man who longs to share adventures, laughter, and great meals. And who will also share his grandchildren and let me spoil them! Although my faith is the bedrock of my life I do not consider myself to be "religious." Finally, I have embarked on a "get Geraldine fit and trim campaign." I am eating deliciously healthy, wonderfully cooked meals,; I'm walking vast amounts; and I'm just about to join the gym again. I'd love someone with vibrant health to join me on this fitness journey.
36, Hyattsville, MDIt's easy to have expectations of others and little thought about what we bring to the table of life. In that light, I will like to invite you to come be compassionate and kind with me towards others, to smile extra cheerily at people (especially the cranky ones) who need it most but are too stubborn to admit it. I'll like to cook, exercise, discover our commonalities, slow dance , stroll around town, watch movies and attend church with you. :) A family that prays together, stays together. . I want to introduce you to my family at some point, to support your dreams, to be a source of encouragement, inspiration, growth, understanding, care, progress, the voice of reason, one-half part of a team which lives life from a place of gratitude and so much more in a healthy and loving relationship with you. I'm ready to be a wife and mother as the journey to heaven continues for me. Hard work, cocooned in humility is attractive to me. A genuinely good soul is unbelievably sexy to me irrespective of the packaging. Of course, we're all drawn to the outside initially but the substance beneath just makes the other person even more wonderful. I want to FALL IN LOVE WITH WHO YOU ARE. I won't waste your time if we aren't a match and I'm honest with myself enough to walk away from what's not right for me. My personality type is the rare INFJ.
33, Hanover, MDI am passionate about exploring ideas, whether I initially agree or disagree with them. I always enjoy conversations that make me think, whether they are different takes on current events or things I had never given much thought on before. I enjoy cooking and got in the habit of cooking for large groups as a graduate student, so periodically cook and bake things for groups of friends. I don't consider myself a gourmand by any means, but am proud of my skill at making a tasty meal from only a few ingredients. Beyond cooking, reading (mostly science fiction) and board/card games are my primary hobbies. I enjoy reading, cooking, and playing board and card games as hobbies.

61, Pomfret, MDSeeking for a friendship for starters: consider myself blessed to be living in this gorgeous little planet God has gifted us with!!! Love to travel and explore new places and cultures; luckily my profession as a flight attendant allows me the opportunity to fulfill this dream!! Enjoy cooking, wine tastings, reading, dancing and gardening; my taste in music is pretty broad, from classic rock to classical music, pop, alternative and everything in between(except for maybe country music, although I remain open minded on that!). My favorite way of exercising is walking outdoors, this is the time I use to clear my head and enjoy nature. Usually do my best thinking on my feet, guess circulation is the best medicine, second only to laughter lol!! I am very thankful to God for all His gifts and blessings and look forward to meeting someone who shares this feeling, has an awesome sense of humor and a positive no-drama outlook on life...
