Life begins to change a little when your son goes off to college, although he is not that far away. I enjoy my career in international banking, which has exposed me to Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese. Although I have been fortunate enough to travel extensively, I appreciate living in the Towson - Baltimore area, which is where I grew up. I have 2 brothers with their families living in the area as well. I enjoy sports and keeping active: running, cycling, swimming as well as work aroun d the house. I am friendly, trustworthy and loyal but a little reserved at first. I enjoy movies, all types of music (thanks in part to my musician son), live concerts, theatre and all the seasons. I have a sweet cockapoo.

Finally launched my four great kids and am now very ready to begin a new chapter in my life. I love life and really believe God has saved the best for last. I have a tremendous capacity to love and desire very much to give this heart to a wonderful man. Love anything to do with the outdoors, discovering music and beauty off of the beaten track. Try to laugh a lot and tend to see the glass as always half full. Looking forward to travel, family and friends, and staying youthful together. Grouches and workaholics need not respond!

I am 68 years old and a widow for almost 9 years. I am very confident in my Faith and I am looking for someone to share my life. I have wonderful family and friends, but I would like to have a companion to go to Mass, dinner, movie or talks. I am hoping to find someone that is willing to give me a chance.

Hi--I'm Kathy--grew up in the Philadelphia area. I attended Catholic schools all my life, even grad school. My M.A. is in Information Science, from Catholic University. When I was a teen, my family moved to Rhode Island. It's a great state to live in--ocean, bay, river, beaches. I became interested in surfing, but alas, didn't master the sport. I did spend a lot of time at the beach, though. After getting an M.A., I moved to the D.C. area--living here, since then. I've work in the Information Science field--mainly libraries. It's great to find information for someone who isn't research-oriented. Also, I recently started my own gift basket business. Anyone need a gift basket??? (Just kidding) I was married once, but not in the Catholic Church. I think it's best to meet someone who has a similar background. I'm dependable, caring, adventurous, romantic, passionate, and consider myself a people-person. I don't have any children or pets, but love both.

I am blessed. Work, church, home, athleticism, learning, and family are all things I treasure. Retire? Not me - the work I do is too exciting. Church involvement? - I'm a RCIA facilitator, and it's the most personally rewarding thing I do. Move? Preferably not - but it would become our home, not just mine . Exercise? Absolutely - in my home gym or outdoors almost daily. Learn? I'm an avid reader - science, history, theology, philosophy. Old fashioned? Wherever the "old" fashion is still a better fashion, then yes I am ;-) . I'm a gentleman and I am seeking the lady who will do me the honor of becoming my wife. How about "...a day in the life..."? Sometimes I write letters. And I like listening to music; I seem to have XM or a CD on a lot, whether at home, work, or in the car. I like a very wide range of music. I enjoy looking at art...paintings, drawings photography, especially...very often I check Fine Art America to see what people have uploaded that day, or run various keywords to see what art comes up from them. Dancing? I love it...all forms...but I'm an awful dancer still yet because I keep quitting lessons for want of a partner to regularly practice with. I like eating good food of various ethnicity, but have not found time or skills for "gourmet" cooking by myself. I do "simple" cooking each night, always pretty healthy and organic, but also allow occasional "McMeals" (I like their fries and smoothies !). After many years of not reading much, I went to grad school and became a pretty avid reader...non-fiction, mostly science, history, theology, philosophy...I read only a couple magazines regularly...the Economist and a car magazine, liked Wilson Quarterly before it stopped print. For a middle-aged, work-a-day guy, I am pretty athletic, and have been for many years, although moving here to the long commutes of the DC area has made it much harder to stay active. I regularly work out at home and at a fitness club. My daily work commute involves two miles of walking, in all weather. I used to snow ski and rollerblade a lot back West, and was pretty good at both. But, I have had trouble getting back into either one here. So now I bike ride instead, mostly on the C&O towpath, typically at a fairly quick, fitness-aimed pace, but not so psychotic about it that I would ruthlessly leave a "soulmate" behind ( ;) ...or, maybe you're one who will have to wait up for me!). Nor do I pass on a nice spot to stop and enjoy the surroundings.

Hi! I adore my family and cooking/baking for them. Dancing and exercise make me happy. My students and teacher friends are wonderful to work and I am grateful for them in my life. Living alone the last five years has helped me grow in ways I didn't think about before I settled here in Frederick, MD. Being a Handmaid of the Lord (cleaning St. Peter's once a month) is relaxing after having taught CCD for 30 years.

I am passionate about my family. I look forward to their calls, visits, interactions with my daughters, their spouses and grandkids. My experiences that have been most influential are my travels and teaching in Latin America and my ESOL experiences. In my personal life, my mother, who was illiterate, was influential in fostering my education. In addition, my older sister gave me the opportunity to continue my education. In my leisure time I like to read, try new restaurants and foods, go to the casino with $20.00, and visit friends and family. Recently, I retired, but I help one of my daughter three mornings a week. She likes to arrive at work by 6am, to leave at 2:30. So, my day begins at 4:15 am. I get the grandkids to the bus and return home. As I recently moved, I am trying to become involved in the community and in the church. I teach religious education to first graders, am a member of the senior group, and am involved in the community book club. Each day is a new adventure :-)

I recently moved from my retirement home near the Atlantic Ocean in Deleware. I downsized to a apartment in Frederick, Md. I gave up the Ocean for the Mountains. I love the outdoors. I'm working on my "Bucket List", and have traveled thru Europe recently by Rail and boat, staying on the ground and water. I did volunteer work in Deleware as a member of the St Vincent De Paul Society, and also volunteered in homeless shelters. My leisure time I like to play scrabble online, read, exercise by swimming laps 3 days a week, i joined a meetup group in Frederick and walk with them once a week. I also have 4 grandchildren. 2 are close by in New Market, Md. The other 2 are in Williamsburg, Va. Each daughter has a boy and girl. Ages are girls 3 and 6, boys are 10 and 11.

I love being outside. I like to ride bikes, take walks/hikes, visit parks, historical sites, swim in the ocean, lay on the beach.... There's something about being in nature that makes me feel calm and contented. I also follow the Ravens and the Orioles and really get a kick out of household projects - it's that feeling of accomplishment. Inside activities would include movies, games, reading, cooking, going out to dinner, & TV. I believe that I am a simple person who enjoys the simpler things of life. My children, who are grown and gone, are self-sufficient but we remain close and they are my pride and joy.
