Hey folks I'm a guy who's just starting out, nothing fancy. Low maintenance, low budget and no nonsense. I am zonked out by the hours work has required of me hence the no maintenance. The last couple of years have been rough and uneventful and I have overlived.
Hi, I'm Chris. I'm a software engineering manager from the Baltimore/Washington D.C. area. I love art and music, reading and learning, and spending time with good friends. I like running in the morning, swimming, and otherwise staying active. I was born and raised Catholic, and I am hoping to meet someone who shares the same beliefs and morals. God has blessed me so richly, and the only thing missing from my life is someone with whom to share it.
Easy going person, very much down to earth. Love to hang out and fun to be with . Goal getter and looking for someone that shares same goal.
My family have always been my greatest influence , keeping me grounded, humble and also giving me a purpose to keep striving to be the best in whatever I do.
Single mother of toddler. Grew up in Maryland and lived in Hawaii for one year.
Enjoys philosophy, theology, humanities, art and music. Nature enthusiast.
If you would like to exchange with me, please send a message.
Interview time! I mean really - that's what this is all about. Its kinda like going to buy a car, getting a job etc. Check out all the options, see what catches your eye and then go from there.
I guess if you have gotten this far, my photos have passed the visual check and now you need to make sure we have some things in common. I'm actually always open to meet people that have different interests than I do because it's always a great way to learn about/experience something new. But you're here to learn about me so here goes:
-I am Roman Catholic, and I live everyday looking for another way to server Jesus.
- I work at Subaru
- The worst job I ever had was working at Sprint
- My friends and family would consider my best attribute to be a good listener and that I have a good sense of humor
- I had my first crush at age 13
- My favorite subject in school growing up was math
- If I had one wish for the world it would be: world peace
- My favorite sport is soccer.Go Eagles!
In my free time I enjoy cooking, going to see movies, and going to concerts. I just saw Yellowcard and Matt Maher, going to concerts or sporting events, and just hanging out with friends. Oh, I also really enjoy food and my favorite place to go is Red Robin, yum!
My ideal date would be Something fun! Bowling, arcade, laser tag, maybe a sporting event.
Anything else you want to know I would be glad to tell you. I am an open book, ask me anything.
I have a passion for Philosophy/Theology as well as other things that focus on the "big questions" of life. I find these types of wondrous concepts to be fascinating. In addition to truth, wisdom, and love, I suppose that is part of the reason why I am still Catholic today. I also have a passion for justice and morality.
As to what I look forward to the most, I look forward to spending time with those I care about the most. I am happiest when around my friends.
I am reflective, sentimental, and philosophical. Although I'm a little on the quiet side, I have a great since of humor and definitely have my moments. But overall, I guess you could say I'm the strong, silent type ;)
I tend to lead a low-key life without too much complication, so there are a lot of things that I haven't done, but I'm always open to new experiences. I like learning about and taking part in other people's passions while constantly trying to better myself and become more virtuous. I believe that human fulfillment lies in the greatest good: God.
I am an aspiring scholar (or at least a perspiring scholar) working towards my PhD in philosophy at the Catholic University of America. I am fascinated by all things history, philosophy or theology-related, and I enjoy writing fiction in my spare time. My Catholic faith is deeply intertwined with my artistic and intellectual interests, and my first stop whenever I visit the National Art Gallery is always the medieval exhibit. My heroes in faith include Saint Augustine and Pope Benedict XVI, whose writings helped inspire my conversion to Catholicism. I also love animals, and I grew up with a pair of Australian Shepherds, a Border Collie, a Beagle and numerous cats, one of whom still lives with me in my apartment. I have also had a lizard, a turtle, a hermit crab and a pair of hamsters, all of whom were a lot more interactive than you might expect them to be. While I have a pretty sprawling family history, I have always been particularly close to my parents. They are truly the best people I know, and I owe all of my good qualities to them. Other random and/or bafflingly obscure interests of mine include dinosaurs, Japan, world mythology, Ray Harryhausen movies, Star Trek, Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Voyager, but not Deep Space Nine or Enterprise and definitely not Star Trek: Into Darkness. That one's a deal-breaker.
This is always the most difficult part, but here goes....
I think my recently deceased parents have been the most influential people in my life (mostly for the better). They are right up there with the priest(s) who helped me find my way back to the Catholic Church in 2011. For my leisure time, I do very much enjoy exploring different parts of the world (a gift my parents gave me) though can be just as happy staying in a Benedictine or Trappist Abbey for a week. Both my parents were born in Germany, so it goes without saying that I need long walks (preferably in the forest, though the Delaware seashore will do just fine) for spiritual and physical refreshment, but that has been sorely lacking recently. Finally, although my job is not the totally of my life, I am grateful for the opportunities provided by my work to make a positive contribution to the public health.
I'm afraid anything else I write might end up sounding cliched. I was once described as "exuberant introvert" and so would much rather discuss my faith, priorities, hopes, fears, family etc. in person.
Just trying to see if there are any other Catholics out there. I like all kinds of things. I like adventure of any sort and I'm passionate about music. I think I have a sense of humor and I try to only take the important things in life seriously.
