I am a young yet mature Catholic girl who absolutely loves life. I am a registered nurse and am about to graduate with my master's degree as a pediatric nurse practitioner. Some of my other loves are music (singing and listening), animals (especially dogs), the ocean/beach, travel and the seasons (I love New England weather and the beauty of each season). I (and I think others) would describe myself as caring, compassionate, loving and content. I am someone who enjoys getting dressed up and being girly, as much as I am happy to dress down and work in the yard or use some tools around the house. Some day I'd love to build my own house or flip another one. My idea of a fun time can be anything from hanging at home, cooking a new recipe, going downtown to see a show, game night at home, or a little blackjack, bowling...pretty much anything you're up for. Family is very important to me and I am very close with my parents. I also absolutely love kids and hope to have a family of my own some day! I have big aspirations for the future and am looking for someone who is equally passionate to move ahead in life together...hope that person will be you :)

I am a very serious person. I value a person who can truly engage in conversation, and I value someone who also has a deep faith in God and his Church. I am an avid reader, and like books from Albert Camus' Plague to Graham Greene's Power and the Glory to anything by St. Augustine, Aquinas, or Plato. I love movies. I am an avid movie watcher, and I am always looking for classic movies I haven't seen. I am not picky about the kind of music I listen to. I'll listen to Mozart, Lady Gaga, and Def Leppard all on the same play list. I want a woman who shares my deep faith, but is also is able to push me and challenge me on a personal, and more importantly intellectual level. A woman who is strong willed, and will not let anyone push her around. However, is willing to compromise and discuss the issues at hand. A woman who knows her own mind without anyone telling her how to define herself. Beyond that there is a lot more to learn about me, and there I know will be more to learn from anyone else.

A Renaissance woman. Young in mind and spirit. Love meeting people from all walks of life. Enjoy walking the streets of new cities and towns, adventurous and outgoing. Travel is high on my priority list. I enjoy the company of friends and sharing time with them . I enjoy the MFA, the local Huntington Theater. Dining out or in with friends is also high on my priority list. There is so much to learn and enjoy in life. It would be wonderful to share it all with that one special person.

I'm a database expert, and a musician. I believe failing quickly and failing often is the best way to be successful at life; so I love attempting things that are at the edge of my capacity, and outside of my comfort zone. I have an absolute fascination about how things work. Few things are more fun starting from an idea and making something a reality. Whether that is a Youtube video, a piece of software, a retreat, or planning a fancy party, few things are more enjoyable than making a difference. My parents say I'm passionate about everything I do, but to me that doesn't seem peculiar. I'm a deep thinker and have a pretty rich interior life. I'm well aware that no relationship between two human beings is ever ideal, but I still think there is incredible value in still striving for the ideal. To love sacrificially and have open and honest communication, is worthwhile. I'm the sort of person who'd put his whole heart into a relationship. I'm perfectly functional and capable of being by myself, but I also know that romance brings the best out of me. I try to always be very present in the moment, both mentally and emotionally. Don't get me wrong, I learn from my past mistakes, and I prepare for the future, but only to the extent that its the present duty to do so. The present is only thing we have control over so I don't like to procrastinate in living and loving. I'm an expert in all things computerized, but that also makes me keenly aware as how much technology can interfere with communication. I'm half introverted, half extroverted. Work tends to indulge my introverted side, however, so I think most of my friends would consider me as more extroverted. Speaking in front of people doesn't scare me, and it's about 50/50 whether I will be comfortable or awkward meeting someone new. I have allergies so my health would probably be pretty miserable living with dogs or cats, although I don't dislike them; this sadly shrinks my dating pool because I wouldn't want to make that a burden on an animal lover. Keeping things clean and organized isn't my strong suit, and speaking of suits, I don't know how to iron. I'm certainly not a slob and keep my place clean, it just takes me foorever to do, and I'm seriously thinking of hiring someone... I'm more of an intellectual than an athlete. Don't get me wrong, I keep myself healthy, and enjoy hiking and being outdoors...and I need to get back to running 5K's. But still, I'm kind of a geek.

I am from Southwest Texas and I moved to Boston to study. I attend Boston College. I need to be outdoors in nature. In the city my favorite place to stroll about is the public garden. I like to go camping roughin' it, hiking and as a desert dweller quad riding. I prefer to be out in the open and I have an affinity for water, even though the only water you will find in my hometown comes from the tap. I love the moon and stars. I grew up watching shooting stars and almost peeing my pants every time the planetarium visited my school or the book fair passed through. I am a book worm and as a result of countless nights reading underneath the covers with a flashlight, I have a fantastic imagination and the need for glasses. I lived and studied in Dublin, Ireland for a year. I love to travel alone and I've met amazing people going solo. Next destination: The Middle East. I need music, I cannot function without it. I speak fluent English and Spanish and I am currently teaching myself German. It has been a love-hate relationship with my Duolingo app. I study Sociology and I am minoring in History and Women's and Gender Studies. Shared silence is my thing. This is enjoying someone's company, but in silence. It sounds weird, but its wonderful. Try it.

I teach philosophy at a university. Some of my favorite things: My faith, family, reading, philosophy, teaching, literature, politics, health, etc., etc. One of my favorite verses from John 1: 1 In the beginning was the Word: the Word was with God and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things came into being, not one thing came into being except through him. 4 What has come into being in him was life, life that was the light of men; 5 and light shines in darkness, and darkness could not overpower it.

Life is good!!I. I like to laugh and enjoy what I do. I have two children that drive me to be a better person. There's always room for a good time with family and friends. I like learning new things and I'm grateful to God for all the opportunities that constantly gives in my life. In my leisure time I enjoy many things, friends, traveling, painting, cooking, concerts, walks, music, museums, etc. I am happy to be here and now.

***Disclaimers/PSA's: 1) I'm not here in some desperate attempt to find a mate. I am genuinely interested in meeting strong Catholics from a variety of backgrounds. If you're not interested in me romantically, feel free to, y'know, actually be friendly and talk back anyway! I've met some great friends on here. :) Also 2) Yes, I have an annulment. If you wanna pre-emptively judge, well, that's your prerogative, but sad. I encourage you to hear the story first. It's not what you think.*** With that out of the way, hello! I'm a convert who loves to try new things. At the same time I'm ambitious and serious about my education/career. I am currently at Boston College finishing a master's degree in Theology/Philosophy. My intent is to one day teach these subjects in a university. I always welcome different activities, experiences, and perspectives, but I'm pretttty conservative/orthodox myself. Some things I've always loved/would do by choice: -Video games (RPG's, specifically); anything multiplayer to connect me to friends -Music: I can play the piano and the trombone. Neither at a master's level, just for fun. -Few board games: Most bore me, but I fall in love with certain ones. Dungeons and Dragons is my favorite, if it even counts. Guesstures is also hilarious. Catch Phrase is really lame. -Talking/reading: Who doesn't love these things? -Painting: Watercolor -Cooking -Traveling (I've been to quite a few places!) My humor ranges from sarcastic to witty and encircles the spectrum sometimes to downright dry and stupid. It's like Fresh Prince meets Jim Carey with a dash of Dr. House. I love fiercely. I've been told that talking with me can be intense or even a little "black-and-white." I'm a proud Southerner at heart! Ain't nothin' wrong with a little country music, mountains, and moonshine! :D My loyalty is to God and family; either get on the train or out of the way.
