59, Waltham, MAI come from a large family I have five bothers and sisters and nine nieces and nephews. They are all married with the exception of me. I am a devout catholic. I attend the Latin Mass at Mary Immaculate of Lourdes in Catholic Church in Newton Mass. I try to attend Daily Mass whenever it fits into my schedule. I am very involved in the church activities. I am the CCD director, parish council member, church florist, President of the women's club, I also oversee many other activities at the church. I also like to attend the feasts in the North End in the summertime for the best Calamari.
26, Dedham, MAI'm a 7th and 8th grade Latin teacher in my fourth year of teaching. As you can probably guess, I'm very passionate about Latin, dead languages, and history. I actually participate in a lot of Latin-related activities, including Latin dinners, where you can only speak Latin. In my free time I enjoy reading, (Currently working on reading through the Bible, as well as After Virtue; I recently read Leaves of Grass, ASOIAF, and a book on the reconstruction of Latin pronunciation), trivia (I have a team that goes to trivia every week, and we win about half the time), and listening to music (a mix of classical and rock, mostly). I'm a beer connoisseur, and I've been brewing for almost two years now. I'm definitely a dog person--my family has a crazy year-old yellow lab, and I've been helping out with her a lot.
31, Sandwich, MAI think I'm a good balance: introspective and intellectual, but with an adventurous spirit. Traditionally masculine, but also emotionally supportive and caring in a relationship. Serious about the things that really matter, but with a good sense of humor about everything else. I love to travel whenever I can, mostly to Europe, but an impulsive road trip down South with friends is a lot of fun too. I try to get to Nantucket whenever I can to sail, surf, fish, and just enjoy being on the water. I love the outdoors, especially hiking in the mountains, but I also enjoy a night on the town as well. "To know and love one other human being is the root of all wisdom..." -Evelyn Waugh
32, Brockton, MAI will be up front that I struggle with mental illness, so I am shy and lack self-confidence in daring to login to a dating website. But I have a lot to offer and I don't want to be like the person whom Jesus gave a talent to make a profit off of and he was so frightened that he buried it in the ground until the Master came back. I am passionate about music, writing, art, history, and other things. Recently had some crises within my family which has brought us closer to gether I think. I am on this website to help discern my vocation and state of life to be in tune with whatever glorifies God the most. I have had an account before and benefited greatly from the encouragement and support of the members, especialy on forums. If anything I hope to be an encouragement to those who may struggle with some form of mental illness or other. My brother and I are starting to get ideas for creative activities such as writing stories and music, as my brother is a very good guitar player and I can write lyrics and sing. Music, art, poetry, literature are all very important to me as well as the sciences, although I am not very good at science, but want to promote the work of those who invent and apply discoveries and technologies that uphold the dignity and improve the quality of life. People have told me I would be a good teacher or writer. Will have to see about that. College has been slow going for me but I like studying and working with people, even with my difficulties.
22, South Hadley, MAHi, I'm Joey (Obviously) and I have no idea what on earth i'm going to write on here... But I guess I gotta try, right? So here it goes... I absolutely love my Faith. For around 8 years now I have been an altar server at the Tridentine Mass and am convinced that I would not be who I am today without it. I love saying the Rosary and Devotion the Sacred Heart. I was homeschooled, and was raised in a very good Catholic household. I have inherited my dad's love of Catholic art and books (including the part where you buy tons of books and never read them all ) As of right now, work wise, i'm a novice painter/shophand/gofer (Go fer this, go fer that!)
27, Allston, MAI am a writer and an urbanist. I write newspaper articles, essays and poetry. I love Chesterton, Tolkein, Keats, Betjeman, Eliot, et al. I also love cities and can frequently be found exploring Boston on foot. I also enjoy listening to classical music and classic rock. I'm a bit of a balletomane, as well, -- I like watching ballets, I volunteer at Boston Ballet and I've even taken some ballet classes for exercise.
21, Dedham, MAI'm the oldest of 8 boys in a Traditional Catholic family. I was homeschooled, but very active in sports. In fact, I was Captain of the local high school wrestling team for two years and became State Champion, even though homeschooled. My family has strict moral values, and it's tough to find a girl who shares those values. I like to enjoy life just doing anything or nothing. I like video games, movies, family time, games, and fun. I'm commuting to college, majoring in Business, and I'm wrestling again.
29, Boston, MAHello...!! I am Ashly, working as a Software Engineer in Bio-Tech company in Boston. I am easy going guy, hard working and fun. I like exploring new places, sports, cooking etc. I grew up in India and moved to USA three years before. I am little religious and never miss Sunday Mass and lent season activities in Church. I am looking for a Catholic girl who can be half in my life with love, motivate, caring personality... :) Just ask me if you have questions..
22, Hanover, MAHello my name is Dan and I am currently studying for a History major and a Anthropology minor at the University of Massachusetts Boston. I am seeking to enter private business, online journalism, non-profit, or the political field. I'm usually pretty reserved and don't talk to people I don't know unless it is necessary. Some hobbies and activities that I do in the free time that I can get nowadays are: Reading, drawing, play games, rollerblading, socialize with friends, go on long walks, extensively follow politics, and of course study history in my free time. I grew up in a family(one side being Scottish, Irish, and French Canadian with the other half being Swedish and Portugeuse)that is Roman Catholic and very conservative. I believe in very traditional values looked down upon by people in our modern culture(modest behavior, strong family values, traditional marriage, etc). I go to Latin mass every Sunday with my father and two younger brothers. The most influential people in my life are of course our Lord and our Lady, my father who worked hard for me to get where I am today, and holy figures such as Pope Saint Pius X and Saint Adelaide.
22, Boston, MAHonestly, I love travel, food, drink, singing, reading, and obsessively learning new things. Catholicism snuck up on me when I was studying history and politics. Even now, I am returning to a reading binge, and am blasting through the usual history podcasts everyone else has already finished. I love the Latin Mass, Gregorian Chant (obviously), and Catholic Art and Music (especially Gothic facades and Eastern Icons). As my mother's son, I've embraced art and music over playing or watching sports, and so after my return to the Faith, I began to sing Gregorian Chant, which eventually grew into a love for singing. I am most who I am today because of my love for learning new things. This was the grace that spurred me back into the Church (thank you Bishop Sheen et al), and what (on a good day) drives me to see more, do more, and experience more. This, and my talent for languages, led to a love for travel which gave me two unforgettable blessings, the five months I've had in France going to Mass at St Eugene, and the Chartres Pilgrimage. I grew up in a tight-knit family that basically keeps me from really being comfortable alone for too long, and yet, taught me how to carve out my own space among the clamour. First-hand, I was shown the crucial importance of the multi-generational household and the extended family. As for free time, besides everything else (singing, reading, internet, languages), I kind of want to get into some form of art: Either drawing or calligraphy, Or maybe I'll finally finish writing something. By the way, I have a beard now...I'll try to get a better picture soon.
39, Marlborough, MAI am passionate about altruism. I agree that I'm a sinner but I try to aim to be a purer heart which I accept that I may never reach this goal. I am a human being, not a deity. But I think God just wants us to try and we will be heading towards the right direction in our lives. I am also passionate about romance and love. I think I am a romantic and love the ideal of love which I think many women do but are afraid to express that as the dating scene nowadays influence women and men alike towards being stoic when it comes to expressing love. I think I'm old enough to not be influenced by this and to just be myself. I also like humor and laughter. I think life would be more pleasant if people lighten up and laughed more. I think humor makes people healthier and live longer. There is some research out there to prove it but we need to do more or just try to take this philosophy to heart as laughing has not hurt or killed anyone as far as I know. I enjoy the arts, making art or viewing it in a museum. I try to appreciate the little things to enrich my life. I love music and love to dance and sing to my favorite songs. I love what I do for my work and love to experience by living as well. I volunteer as much as I can whether it is serving veterans as I am a veteran myself (Navy) or serving homeless people, people with HIV, prisoners, mentally ill, or just doing my part to help preserve our environment. I just like to try to be socially conscious.
26, Sharon, MATaking a break for a while. Sometimes it's better to have a friend, and just let God control the situations that arise. Instead of wondering why you can't find anyone. My Name is Sammy. I am 26 years old. I have been living with my parents all my life. Hopefully that will change soon enough, when i can afford a place of my own. I was raised in a traditional Latin Mass Family. I am an only child, and I was home schooled. I never felt the pull towards furthering my education after graduating high school, as there has been nothing out there that's called to me. I believed God was calling me to the married life, so I had no interest in going to college to be a "career woman". I am a classical pianist, took lessons for 15 years...and even tho I never did anything with my talent, job wise, i do enjoy being able to sit down at the piano and play a Sonata or Bach Prelude. I am a HUGE star wars, and Marvel Fan.
