Thanks for viewing my profile. I am an adult convert to Catholicism from "secular humanism." I've lived in the Deep South for about half my life (all but 8 months of that in Alabama). I am canonically Melkite Greek Catholic but recently moved my parish membership to the Cathedral parish in Birmingham. My faith is THE most important thing in my life. Jesus pursued me for years and when I finally surrendered to His love, it changed everything, and it did so once and for all. No going back. I'm not a religious nut, but I am definitely a fervent, loyal Catholic Christian. I would describe myself as outgoing (but not always easygoing), bright (but not always smart or wise), intelligent (but not quite nerdy), interesting (but not exotic), openminded but with strongly-held convictions in many areas. One strong trait of mine is generosity. (Another is a tendency to be verbose ... in case you were wondering!) I am prone to make judgments quickly, but In the last few years I believe I have grown a lot in gentleness and kindness and self-control (Galations 5:12-23). I don't have as much dating experience as you might expect for a guy of my (shall we say, um) vintage, so don't count on me to know how to do courtship perfectly, should our two paths lead us to that. Courting my intended will involve a bit of trial and error on my part! Since I believe strongly in allowing God to lead me and equip me through the Holy Spirit, I'm not stressin' about that fact. Probably all of my Christian friends would acknowledge me to be a man of prayer, and I am praying that God might use this website to lead me to the one woman He created from all eternity to be my wife.

I just moved to Birmingham after taking a job out here, and excited about the next adventure in my life. In November 2013 I got out of the Coast Guard, during my time I was stationed in Northern California Idaho is my home and adopted native land, in Boise I was actively involved in my parish as a youth minister for three years and as a lector. Which I have continued to do here as well. My idea of a great Friday night is a good beer, good company and good conversation. Having a night in watching movies or TV and making a nice dinner (quality not fancy) is always a great way to unwind after a long week too. If you have any questions feel free to message me and ask.

Hello. I just wanted to check this out and see if I have connection with Catholic singles out there. If you are interested, maybe I am too. A little about me: I'm traditional and old-fashioned. I'm not sure if that makes me an old soul or not, but I like to think I'm a good person with manners and morals (I'm certainly not perfect). Like just about everyone, I think there needs to be a mutual physical attraction and chemistry. Time can improve both, I think, but without either in the end, I just don't think it works for me. I've traveled a bit for work in the continental, so I don't have a travel bug bite. I've been content to stay close to home and spending a lot of time with my family (who are here) and seeing them grow old over the years. Though I might like to change some things from my past, I can't say that I have any regrets, and I think it is because of my family-centered nature. Maybe I can have that one day too, but if not, I'm good with it. I'm ambitious, but content. I'm a dreamer but feel blessed to have the job that I do. I can do without material things and don't believe they are important, but I do enjoy nice things. I grew up playing organized soccer and various other sports, so I consider myself athletic and coordinated, but I have to admit I'm out of shape (though I'm working on it). I'm not 300 pounds, but I'm just not where I would like to be health wise. I also like to play musical instruments for my own amazement (can't claim that quote. Saw that it on a sign - perfect description for me). I can also say that I have a sarcastic wit, sometimes to a fault, though I tend to hold back and feel out new friends before I open it up. I'm addicted to other people's smiles and laughter, I have to say. Obligatory Catholic interjection here: Joking aside, I am completely committed to my Catholic faith; I feel like it is a definite positive when I share that aspect with someone else. Kinda like a club, especially in the southern U.S. where it's only about 3% Catholic where I live. Secret handshake here. To wrap this package up: If you are looking for someone making 6 figures that wants to be a CEO of a Fortune 500, I'm afraid that's not me. If you are looking for someone that places importance on family, abides by "pray together, stay together" mantra, and is proud to be Catholic, maybe we might hit it off. It's not ideal, but if I find the right person, I'm willing to try long distance. Also, is it one space or two spaces after a period?

Faith has always been important to me. I went to Catholic school, and loved attending mass throughout college and professional school. Being a healthcare provider has shaped my outlook on life and molded me into a more caring person. I enjoy outdoor activities and sports especially the Atlanta Braves, New Orleans Saints, and college football and baseball.

I am a practicing Roman Catholic who is looking to enrich his life and thought to give online dating a try. Basically, I want to meet more people for the sake of getting to know different kinds of people. I enjoy my job and I look forward to going to work each day. I enjoy learning about the Catholic faith, as well as other faiths and religious backgrounds. I like to attend different cultural festivals, especially those involving food and music. There are Lebanese, Greek, and Eastern festivals where I live mostly. I enjoy being outdoors, and particularly around water when the weather is hot. Swimming is my favorite, but I occasionally go canoeing or kayaking. I attend different Church functions and like to see and listen to special speakers when they come through town. While I like to go out and do things, I also just enjoy spending an evening at home. Watching a movie or playing a board game can be a very fun evening. Cooking is one of my favorite hobbies. I enjoy cooking new dishes, particularly ones that I did not grow up eating. My current favorite is Cajun/Creole food. I use reflection booklets in my prayer, and I have been trying to pray at least one decade of the Rosary each day. I try to enjoy life and all that it has to offer.

If you have answered "no I don't agree with Church teaching" to one of the faith questions, then you should check again to find out what it means to be Catholic....... I spend a lot of time with the youth group at Our Lady of Sorrows in Homewood. Non church related, I enjoy being active outside, playing sports, watching Alabama football, and going to see live music. I really enjoy spending time with my 4 nieces and my nephew (pictured). I have an overwhelming family, and we have lots of fun together!

I am young at heart and I am relatively high energy. I have passionate about my work. I like spending a lot of leisure time on the lake I enjoy Alabama football and outdoor activities. By the way, by reading these answers you can probably tell I do not enjoy completing this profile. I am much more comfortable communicating verbally in a conversation. Maybe with time I'll slowly elaborate on some of these questions, for now, at least it's completed and it's a start for me! Thank you, Michael
