Thanks for viewing my profile. I am an adult convert to Catholicism from "secular humanism." I've lived in the Deep South for about half my life (all but 8 months of that in Alabama). I am canonically Melkite Greek Catholic but recently moved my parish membership to the Cathedral parish in Birmingham. My faith is THE most important thing in my life. Jesus pursued me for years and when I finally surrendered to His love, it changed everything, and it did so once and for all. No going back. I'm not a religious nut, but I am definitely a fervent, loyal Catholic Christian. I would describe myself as outgoing (but not always easygoing), bright (but not always smart or wise), intelligent (but not quite nerdy), interesting (but not exotic), openminded but with strongly-held convictions in many areas. One strong trait of mine is generosity. (Another is a tendency to be verbose ... in case you were wondering!) I am prone to make judgments quickly, but In the last few years I believe I have grown a lot in gentleness and kindness and self-control (Galations 5:12-23). I don't have as much dating experience as you might expect for a guy of my (shall we say, um) vintage, so don't count on me to know how to do courtship perfectly, should our two paths lead us to that. Courting my intended will involve a bit of trial and error on my part! Since I believe strongly in allowing God to lead me and equip me through the Holy Spirit, I'm not stressin' about that fact. Probably all of my Christian friends would acknowledge me to be a man of prayer, and I am praying that God might use this website to lead me to the one woman He created from all eternity to be my wife.

    34, Huntsville, AL
Hello! My name is Brian. I live in Huntsville, Alabama. I am an Athens State graduate with a B.S. ED. in Elementary Education. I'm teaching at a local Catholic school. Life is busy, but also it's good. My faith is important to me. It has gotten me through tough times. I find the more I trust in Jesus and allow the Holy Spirit to act the more my love for him grows and the more my mind is at peace and my heart at rest. I learn that while I suffer I am able to count the blessings in my life. It is my hope to offer all my work, joy, pain, sorrow, and prayers to the Lord and Author of Life who transforms lives, forgives, and shows mercy. I actively service my parish in several ministries, such as, religious education (I teach juniors in high school), youth ministry (middle and high school), lectoring, and as an extraordinary minister of Holy Communion. I enjoy the outdoors, playing sports, and reading spiritual books.

Hello. I just wanted to check this out and see if I have connection with Catholic singles out there. If you are interested, maybe I am too. A little about me: I'm traditional and old-fashioned. I'm not sure if that makes me an old soul or not, but I like to think I'm a good person with manners and morals (I'm certainly not perfect). Like just about everyone, I think there needs to be a mutual physical attraction and chemistry. Time can improve both, I think, but without either in the end, I just don't think it works for me. I've traveled a bit for work in the continental, so I don't have a travel bug bite. I've been content to stay close to home and spending a lot of time with my family (who are here) and seeing them grow old over the years. Though I might like to change some things from my past, I can't say that I have any regrets, and I think it is because of my family-centered nature. Maybe I can have that one day too, but if not, I'm good with it. I'm ambitious, but content. I'm a dreamer but feel blessed to have the job that I do. I can do without material things and don't believe they are important, but I do enjoy nice things. I grew up playing organized soccer and various other sports, so I consider myself athletic and coordinated, but I have to admit I'm out of shape (though I'm working on it). I'm not 300 pounds, but I'm just not where I would like to be health wise. I also like to play musical instruments for my own amazement (can't claim that quote. Saw that it on a sign - perfect description for me). I can also say that I have a sarcastic wit, sometimes to a fault, though I tend to hold back and feel out new friends before I open it up. I'm addicted to other people's smiles and laughter, I have to say. Obligatory Catholic interjection here: Joking aside, I am completely committed to my Catholic faith; I feel like it is a definite positive when I share that aspect with someone else. Kinda like a club, especially in the southern U.S. where it's only about 3% Catholic where I live. Secret handshake here. To wrap this package up: If you are looking for someone making 6 figures that wants to be a CEO of a Fortune 500, I'm afraid that's not me. If you are looking for someone that places importance on family, abides by "pray together, stay together" mantra, and is proud to be Catholic, maybe we might hit it off. It's not ideal, but if I find the right person, I'm willing to try long distance. Also, is it one space or two spaces after a period?

Former fighter pilot, I retired from the military but work now as a software engineer as a civil servant. I'm a widower now for four years after 21 years of marriage. My only child just completed a major in biology, minor in chemistry; currently bunking at home while looking for work in her profession. She is my greatest blessing; my best piece of work by His grace. Licensed as a foster parent; had a "son" for a year who was recently reunited with family. Looking for someone to do those things with that are awkward to do alone like eating out, dancing, conversation--I've been trying real hard to quit talking to myself :-) I enjoy other activities that are just more fun when done with others like hiking, golf, and cooking.

Hello, my name is Joseph, and I am a bit of a workaholic. In my free time, I enjoy relaxing at home, watching movies and TV series via a popular streaming service that rhymes with 'pet tricks'. In addition, I play the occasional video game, especially those involving space and space exploration. Also, I am a hobby programmer. Finally, I also love just hanging out with my core group of friends, whether that be watching a movie or going bowling. I know this is a popular answer, but I believe that I am most inspired by my Dad. He is the quintessential Catholic Christian man: kind, loving, sacrificing, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. I have done my best to emulate his character. He taught me about what being a Catholic Man truly means. PS: Before anyone asks, I feel the need to explain my position on Contraception. I truly feel that I am in 90% agreement with the Catholic teaching on this topic. However, there is no middle ground when it comes to the question as asked, and I feel that this is shortchanging a difficult issue. I believe that the purpose of marriage is to be open to the transmission of life. However, in certain health related circumstances, the position on contraception may be waived. Mostly, for health reasons. For instance, a person becomes infected with HIV or another sexually transmitted disease through no fault of their own, be it via sexual assault or through tainted blood transfusions, etc. In this case, the spouse may also become infected. While contraceptives do not completely protect against the transmission of such diseases, they do provide some minimal level of protection. And that is why I answered "No" to the question.

I am quiet and reserved until I get to know someone. I am a fan of music and like classic rock, heavy metal and Blues and I am a big Pink Floyd fan. I am looking for someone that enjoys the same things that I do and that I can grow with in my daily activities and my faith.
