I used to be a fair athelete and I guess I still have that appearence...though at 63+ I can no longer claim to be one. I've been told that I look a bit like a cross between an old cowboy and a hippie! But since I've started to keep my hair cut I look more like the cowboy. I am a faithful Catholic and I teach in the RCIA. I came to the Church as an adult about 35 years ago but it still feels new and wonderful. It was the truth of the Eucharist that brought me into the Church and that truth will keep me here forever. I think I am a fairly funny guy and I enjoy a good time. I'm not much of a drinker but I do imbibe once in a while. Since retiring about three years ago I have become a bit of a golf bum. In Alaska that's not the easiest thing to be! But I do manage to play way too much golf in the form of exercise.

I am a life-long catholic. I believe that I have a strong faith, and am continuously striving to strengthen my faith and understanding. I had walked off the path of my faith for a time, but I'm so happy now to be back in God's grace! I truly know his forgiveness and mercy intimately. I've now taken up in earnest the Pope's call for all to renew our spiritual growth in this "year of faith". And I've recognized, and am very inspired by Mary's urgent calls to the faithful during this "time of Grace". Truly, now is the time to pray and live our lives in ways that win others to Christ. I've always seen God revealed in the natural world around us. It's the wild and beautiful places and creatures where I've seen Him most clearly reflected. I'm a lover of what is truly beautiful about life and people, I especially see beauty in the capacity of people to overcome extreme hardships while maintaining their faith - and especially the grace to forgive and to ask for forgiveness.
