    I am a down-to-earth, humble gentleman who would love to find a lady to go to church with, watch movies, attend concerts and sporting events and love spending quality time together. I believe that chivalry is not dead...on a date,I will bring candy, flowers, and open the car door for a lady.

    I love to be with family and friends. I am very passionate person with most anything I do. I love to cook. Enjoy trying to cook new things. My mother and father raised a great family. I would have to say my mom and dad have been the most influential people in my life. Growing up on a farm was a great thing. I love to spend my free time playing golf, reading, cooking, watching sports and spending time with family and friends.

    I try to live each day with purpose and happiness, when possible doing something for others. I paint and work on various social justice projects I've identified as meaningful to society. My latest are restoring an old adobe mission church in Scottsdale and organizing a fruit ministry for the San Carlos Apache Reservation...where I'm known as 'the fruit guy'. I laugh a lot and try to keep a covey of friends that are joyous, productive and wise. I am retired from an academic teaching career in early childhood education and organizational development and am blessed to be able to spend summers in a pristine little town in Colorado and winters in Scottsdale where I have an art studio. I work with and respect the Franciscan approach to religion and life and try to walk the talk... but often trip.
  • Jeff, 32 from Scottsdale, AZ

    32, Scottsdale, AZ
    I spent all of 2015 living in England. Now it's 2016 and I'm back in sunny Arizona where I've had a home for almost four years now. I'm slightly less pale than I used to be (only slightly), but I've kept my midwestern sensibilities and my Chicagoan appreciation for good food. I love trying new restaurants. I've discovered a number of local favorites in my meandering expeditions for food, but I can also be counted on to be ready for a movie, concert, bar trivia or a night on the karaoke stage. When the weather is nice I like to grab a drink on a nice patio, enjoy the sun and have some intelligent conversation. Speaking of drinks, I consider myself pretty knowledgeable about beer and I am gradually expanding my appreciation for scotch as well. Beyond venturing out to procure food and drink and be social, I am quite content to spend some relaxing time at home. I have a condo near Fashion Square and enjoy having visitors. I like to play guitar and sing. Every once in a while a nice elderly person sitting in front of me at Mass will tell me I have a good singing voice so clearly that makes me some kind of rock star. I like just about anything I can sing to, and I will use that line to defend my fondness for Katy Perry's music should you ever call me out on it (yeah, I know, don't judge me). I do my fair share of "guy stuff" like watch sports or play video games, but I'd welcome the chance to go hang out with a special lady if she's not into those things and get a change of scenery. There are all sorts of things that I don't necessarily do alone (e.g. cooking) that I would enjoy doing with the right company. Of course, life can't always be fun and games. When the time comes, I can be hardworking and ambitious too. I earned a PhD in electrical engineering at age 25. It is an achievement I'm quite proud of and I couldn't have done it without genuinely enjoying what I do. (science is awesome!) I figure on a dating profile it's better to share a demonstrable sign of intellect than to give the standard cliche: "I'm smart, funny, etc." In person though, I'm pretty modest and often self-deprecating. In short I like to have fun and don't take myself too seriously.

    56, Scottsdale, AZ
    Hello! I'm Dave and I am now relocated to Arizona as of November 15th, 2015. I previously lived in Michigan for all of my life. I've relocated to be close to my folks and am excited for a fresh new life! My profession is as a self employed web designer with a steady clientele. Starting fresh in Arizona means I'll be able to focus more on my work and on my folks who live in Scottsdale, and with whom I'll be making up for lost time and helping with their well being. I am humorous, passionate, affectionate, fun-loving, outgoing, ambitious, and I enjoy life. I like travel, sight seeing, fine restaurants, outdoor activities, movies, shopping, attending concerts & sports events, and more... are you the one that will be sharing that with me? I hope to hear from you :)

    I believe in God, Family and work in that order. I work hard and love to enjoy time with family and friends. I love my 3 young boys who are my true blessings in my life and thank God everyday for them. I believe in trust, faith and honesty in a relationship. I look forward to gaining new friendships and hopefully that someone to share the rest of my life with that has the same values that I hold dear.

  • Jack, 58 from Scottsdale, AZ
    {%action_menu%}
    58, Scottsdale, AZ
    My name is Jack. I'm 58, and recently widowed after 35 years. My wife, Kirsten, passed on Nov 3, 2015. I loved being married. Kirsten and I were good at it! I miss her a great deal, and do not like being without her. I loved having a partner in life, but I know life goes on. She wanted me, as I would have wanted her, to move forward and make the most of the rest of my life. I'll never forget her, but she left me, and our two adult kids, psychologically and emotionally in tact. I recognize it is important to take control of our lives. Therefore, I will not sit back and wait for life to happen to me. We're approaching 1 year since Kirsten passed, so I've decided it's time to re-engage in a personal life. Our two kids, 29 and 32, were recently married. Both practicing Catholics, and both new in-laws have converted to Catholicism. Love our kids...all solid people! I am not a home body! I love getting out and running races, obstacle courses, triathlons, riding the motorcycle, and finding a warm patio in the sun to have a beer or two. I don't have a housekeeper, or a landscape guy. Love doing that stuff myself. I'm old enough to know how to change the oil on the cars, and hang a ceiling fan. Kirsten and I had "date night" for the last 25 years. Loved it, and now miss it! Usually, dinner and a movie, without fail! I'm a huge fan of Open, Honest, and Fully Transparent...even if it hurts communication. Lying is a deal breaker for me!!!! I can handle the ugly truth, but I can't handle what I'm not aware of! It's very difficult to offend me. While I appreciate tact, I also value communication when it's honest and direct!
  • Ryan, 30 from Scottsdale, AZ
    {%action_menu%}
    30, Scottsdale, AZ
    I'm one of those guys that might be just restless enough that I don't want to fit into one or two simple labels. I grew up with a deep desire to spread the Word and joy, in general, through music. In college, I found my passion in software development and business analytics because they are tools I can use to help people develop their businesses and support their families. All the way, I'm always trying to push myself physically. I made it a goal for my 30s to be a time where I finally learn to skate and play some hockey . I'm just always looking for new hobbies, places to explore and things to try.
