I grew up in western NY state and I have gotten a lot of positive influence from the people and the cultural background from there (as well as from other places I've gotten to live and good Catholic communities I've found in those places). It's not exactly NYC - instead, it gives me a Northeast/Midwest kind of cultural background. You're going to get an intellectual type of person with me - I'm particularly interested in topics like physical science, theology, social science, etc. But that's not all I am! I like to do athletic stuff and team sport activities that are available (I've played pickup ultimate frisbee and volleyball primarily, and I daresay I'm pretty good at those sports, but I'll play anything as long as it's a good game with good folks). I'm also interested in board games or card games or whatever kind of group game activity can be had. In terms of media, I like a good book, a good Youtube video, or a good music album. I'll watch hockey, football, or baseball, depending on the season. There's a lot more to say, but I think that's enough for starters.

  • Justin, 51 from Fayetteville, AR
    51, Fayetteville, AR
Hello, I live a calm, peaceful life; just missing someone to share it with, I have raised my 18 yo son by myself, he graduated university last year. The pic of me and my son is from a recent 2 week trip to Rome, where being in St Peter's was incredible, and am planning on returning to Rome next year. I have two sailboats and like to sail the lakes when I can, kayak the rivers a few times a year, and fish sometimes. I moved to Arkansas 5 years ago, have a few acres outside of town and have been doing many home improvement projects the last few years, replacing roof and windows, building sheds for tractors and pickups. I have no debts, own my house, and have a comfortable life. I have 3 Golden Retriever dogs, two are puppies

I am a serious Catholic who attends mass every Sunday and at least one weekday mass. My faith is important to me and must also be to my mate. I like boating, hiking, ATV riding, all water sports, and watching sunsets. I am a proud grandfather to three grandsons. I am an elected official and have been so for 25 years. My parents, both deceased, are the most influential persons in my life. They taught me the value of hard work, persistence, and faith in God.

"The most extraordinary thing in the world is an ordinary man with an ordinary woman, and their ordinary children." --G.K. Chesterton I was baptized Episcopalian by my uncle, but raised Catholic in parochial school, and went to an all boys Catholic high school. I fell away from the Church after that, but was able to receive Confirmation during USMC bootcamp at age nineteen. I made a career in IT, but after 9/11 had trouble finding work where I lived. I went to film school and accumulated an ill-advised amount of student loan debt. My attempts at leading myself through life, with no light to guide me, had taken it's toll. I've paid most of that off these last few years, the blessing of gainful employment having made that possible. I now live and work near my family, where I am finally able to live the faith, and buy Christmas and birthday gifts for family and friends. My sense of humor doesn't really come out until I'm comfortable, but just as well, understand that I am a very patient individual when it comes to getting to know people. I think chemistry is important, but not so much that if it isn't there right off the start, I wouldn't be willing to give it some time. You never know what people are going through in their lives that can cause them to retract in various ways.

I'm a Pro Vitae , Totus tuus, convert from the Anglican Church. ..... Catholic Lite in other words. I'm am also a health care professional, incredibly curious about the church and the deeper understanding of life that the true faith offers. . The more I see in human interactions around me, the more I see a need to stay in continual study of the rich gift we've been given . I grew up in, shall we say, meager circumstances. Too much to go into here. Though raised Protestant, the Church was always in the background in one form or fashion. Only when I began to look into the Faith's beliefs for myself , setting aside the bias's of others, did my critical thinking skills begin to be honed to a finer edge. I came home to Mother Church in 2000. I have a broad interest in so many things, from hiking to gardening, Literature , art, etc. love of music is a core value for me. I can listen to almost any music ..... ALMOST being the operative word. I can listen to anything music but rap or disco, because as the old saying goes, friends should not let friends drive drunk ... Or listen to rap or disco !

  • Ignacio, 29 from Rogers, AR
    29, Rogers, AR
My name is Ignacio and I have recently rediscovered my faith. I fell away from the church for a span of almost 10 years but have rediscovered my need for salvation through Jesus Christ. It was through the help of a few friends that I was able to open my heart back up to God and I am ready to accept my mission to do the same for others. I aspire to do all things in life with the teachings of our lord in mind. In the future I hope to be able to start a family so that, along with my wife, we can begin to lead one another toward God.
