I am very passionate about our Catholic faith. It has been such an amazing journey of faith and conversion for me--and I continue to discover and see His will and love unfold in my life. I would enjoy the opportunity to share more about that with you, as friends in faith, and share how we feel / discern how our faith is calling us to grow, day in and day out, through the various facets of our lives. I am content just a state of grace; with my family; with friends. I could pretty much enjoy being anyplace, doing just about anything, as long as it is of good nature, and with good company, and not leading anybody into sin... like a nice walk along the beach or trail, a bike ride with the breeze, a road trip to and fro; catching up with friends and family over a meal, a bbq or bonfire, or just being together...the usual stuff. I'm usually pretty deep. I'm sensitive of others. I've always been fairly laid-back and easy going. I'm sincere and mindful of my thoughts and words. I'm a good listener. I'm a compassionate friend and stranger. Cutting it short now, however, if there's anything else you'd like to know about me, please don't hesitate to ask. God bless you +

I live life with a balance between work and play, friends and family, tradition and the future and earth and science. I work long, productive hours and don't really carry that home with me. I enjoy being in charge of the technical aspect of stage productions - especially stage lighting. I have more than a mild interest in drawing, photography and music -- all of which combine both sides of ones brain. I spend quality time with my family and friends (althought, I must say I haven't been a good friend to many lately). I have plans and ambitions but I never forget where I came from and the path that I took to get here. A solid relationship is simple - I believe two people will find that chemistry... that special something if they’re compatible with what's important.

Because of a life circumstance (taking care of my folks for the interim, at least) I hope to find a friend whom I can share some of what Cali can offer. I enjoy a variety of activities, and prefer not to limit myself to specifics, but I do have favorites. I enjoy a challenge, so I like to be active, physically, intellectually, and spiritually, and seek them out. I've found that compatibility has to be more than a shared faith, though foundational, it's always nice to have common interests. Even though I grew up in a large city near LA in Cali, I prefer spending time outdoors (hiking, fishing, camping, hunting, etc) and would eventually like to live in a rural setting (with my own pond/lake) or near the beaches. What truly would be nice is to meet a friend/wife to travel with (hopefully to areas with good fishing). I'm also somewhat of a quasi political advocate (at least currently), not because of any great love for politics, because I truly believe we must stand for the tenets of our Faith, and other values we hold dear, both for ourselves and our children. I'm also very grateful to have lived very near to Franciscan University of Steubenville, because of the spiritual opportunities that the University offers. The conferences throughout the year are outstanding, and the Catholic community here is solidly rooted in fidelity to the Magisterium. I'm also continuing a last-chance-at-getting-in-real-shape-before-I-get-too-old exercise program, P90X. It's been good even though I am currently recovering from a boating accident through PT. My bucket list would include traveling to Rome, Catholic sites in Europe, Japan, Hawaii, upper Canada/Alaska, and sky diving....

I'm currently serving with the Air Force National Guard one weekend a month just recently promoted to Sergeant. I work full-time as electronic tech. I see myself as an independent also learning how to gain and obtain INTELLIGENCE in performing my own research. I soon realize that due to all the training I've obtained from the air force, I'm possibly considered the "Jack of Most Trades" which is learning to work with many hands on skills. I'm also considered as a public speaker that likes to socialize with people. In relations, I've taken 2 psychology class from 2 different colleges and also studied and completed 2 Speech Communication course. Definitely it requires both learning how to do group discussions and mentoring. Just recently, I have a speech communication involving persuasion. I find it as a great opportunity becoming a GROUP LEADER which is the reason why I volunteered and accepted the position. This was regarding to the speech presentation I did as one of my group project assignment where I did an outstanding GROUP LEADERSHIP performance overall according to my instructor. More than a decade ago, I joined a speech organization club known as TOASTMASTERS for about almost 2 years before joining the air force. A organization designed for people to compete in a speech contest. I'm hoping to go back to Toastmaster doing speech contest again. It was a challenge I'm willing to accept and take again in the future. All these things demonstrate what I could do and other things not mention here I'm willing to do. Two classes combined with both Psychology and Speech Communication Class I've studied made me soon realize I've got talent, skills and experience. Especially what I've been through with all hardship and what I can overcome and achieve, I'm see myself being not just like any ordinary guy like the rest. I know I'm better than anything out of the ordinary unlike other guys now that I've completed my speech communication class. That wasn't easy especially having time spent doing hours of research to prepare topics for my presentation. I'll be honest that speaking in front of the class took a lot of courage and heart. This demonstrates when taking this tough challenging course motivated me how to find and understand what's the intentional purposes behind the reasoning. These include why I'm dedicated in the hard work I invested in after taking a speech communication class building a foundation of success and having a long-term relationship.

My life has been for the most part all about me up until this point. Priorities were set to get me where I needed and wanted to be. From getting good grade in school, getting into a good college, and starting a career. I really never had time for anything else. Well, I've received the grades needed to go to college, got the degree I wanted, and have a career I happy to get up in morning to go to. I guess now I need to make some new priorities and goals, which is why I'm here. Prior to this moment, everything had been about me. I would like to change it now and try to find that one special person to add to the equation...the equation of life. I'm looking for a long term relation which could be nurtured into a life time commitment. I would like to find that one special person to share my joys, my sadness, the hopes, and dreams with. Someone who I can enjoy life with. Someone to simply enjoy a funny comedy with, or to travel and explore new worlds...someone to be my partner in life.

Bucket list includes jumping off an airplane, camping in the wilderness, and white water rafting. But on a regular basis, would just love to chill while playing board games or a night of Big Bang Theory. I'm just an avid adventure seeker. Simple joys of life are learning a new recipe for my loved ones, singing in the bathroom and dancing while no one is watching. As for a companion, I pray she brings me closer to God.

  • Christopher, 23 from Downey, CA

Hi, my name is Chris. I recently graduated from UC Irvine with a degree in sociology and history. I am currently working full time as a jr. high teacher in Los Angeles. I teach 6th, 7th, and 8th grade social studies and religion. I also teach 8th gr. pre-algebra. I am also working on my master's degree in education along with a social studies teaching credential at Loyola Marymount University. I'm passionate about building relationships with others. I value meaningful experiences with people I care about. I value the simple things in life in life - deep conversations with friends, a hike with a breathtaking view, a thought provoking book or film. Since a young age, I have always wanted to be a teacher. I've always wanted to give back to my community and help raise the next generation. After I graduated from UC Irvine, I knew right away that I wanted to be a teacher. To me, it seemed like the best job in the world, and in many ways, it truly is. Even though there are rough days a teacher, there is always at least one student that inspires me to get up and go to work each day. I feel very blessed to have a job as a teacher. My students have taught me how to be patient, humble, and caring. I am also thankful to my parents for teaching me the values of hard work and sacrifice. They have always cared about me and pushed me to do my best in work and school. In my leisure time, I enjoy being active with hiking, sports, and weight lifting. I am fascinated by national parks. If I had the time and money, I would visit all of them. My most favorite national park is Bryce Canyon in Utah. I also enjoy reading books on history, teaching, and religion. I am currently doing the 5 x 5 Stronglifts workout. I enjoy taking random trips with friends. Hidden, non-touristy spots are my favorites. Examples include the Sunken City in San Pedro and the Sinks (the Grand Canyon of Orange County).
