61, Covina, CAI'm rather conservative and old-fashioned although I am generally open-minded. I've spent most of my career in the computer field, although I never considered myself a guru or geek. I consider myself an individual, and I am also honest to a fault. I believe that I am an intellectual, educated beyond what the degree says. I am sort of a "renaissance man" who strongly believes in lifelong learning. My nature is generally quiet and introverted, which sometimes confuses people. People are not used to someone who isn't always trying to jam a word in edgewise. I DO talk though, once you get me started. Sometimes too much. I am able to carry on a conversation on just about any subject except sports. I am very laid back... funny with a dry sense of humour. I am essentially an introvert with extrovert tendencies. so I'm more of a listener than a talker. I have been very active in the Los Angeles/Orange County/Toronto Irish communities and would like to know more about my Finnish background. I regularly attend cultural events and have season tickets to La Mirada Theatre's McCoy-Rigby series. I enjoy live music (especially the Rio Hondo Symphony) of all types except rap and heavy metal. I am very easy going and my expectations are not restricting, but I'm not desperate. ;-)
29, Jackson, CAIf one word can describe me, it would be faithful. The reason why I chose faithful is because I love God. This is not an overstatement. Being introduced to Jesus was a life changing moment that has led me to have a life that has been full joy and adventure. At one point I thought He was calling me to the priesthood. As you can see that didn't work out since I'm on this site. However, that didn't deter me from continuing to glorifying His name. I went to study Theology and currently am a Youth and Young Adult Minister. I love this job because I can get to talk about Jesus all day. Back to the faithful adjective, I say Im faithful is because of my time spent studying and praying. I have come to know Gods saving plan for humanity and the way he has set it up is amazing. With His faithfulness to us, I could only respond to my faithfulness to Him. I and hope that others through ministry will come to know the everlasting love that God has for them and to come to the obedience of faith. When I'm am not preaching the Gospel, I am usually enjoying the outdoors. The best thing about the outdoors is viewing the stars at night. There are times that I do not get any sleep because of the awesome sky especially in the desert. I also like working with my hands and get a little crafty. I have dabbled in some leather making, using old selvedge denim pieces to create bags, and looking toward learning how to tailor. I do these things because making something rather than buying a very expensive leather journal I can just make one myself and have it be my own. One that I do enjoy a lot is a good bottle of wine. Growing up my father worked at a very wealthy country club and was exposed by the fine wines and soon built his own collection and once I came of age started opening some bottles and teaching me what good wine is. My current favorite is a Syrah from the La Capilla vintage from Daou Vineyards. I am fond of other forms of drinks as well. To conclude, this is a brief description of myself and if you would like to get to know me go ahead and send me a message. I would request that you are clear with your intentions. I don't want to get interested with someone if they are here just looking for a friends.
39, San Diego, CAI have spent most of my life on the go thanks largely to Uncle Sam. Next stop, San Diego! Otherwise, big, Irish, Catholic family; went to a seminary for a bit; military; yada yada...tell ya all about it sometime :) Anyone care to show the new guy around? God bless! PS Picture with the beard and robot is what I look like now.
37, Fontana, CAIt's so hard to write about yourself but here goes... My name is Dan and I consider myself an extrovert with introvert tendencies (if that makes sense to anyone). I am a kind, respectful, funny, fun-loving gentleman. I am a very spontaneous person who loves to have a great time, whether its a party, having a few drinks at a bar, or just relaxing poolside. I absolutely love to travel and do so as much as time permits. I have been blessed to have been able to visit so many of God's creations all over the world. I am an adrenaline junky!!! Maybe that's why I work as an RN in the Emergency Room! I love serving and taking care of people and I am thankful for finally finding the career for me. I am a die hard sports fan,(Notre Dame, St Louis Rams, LA Lakers, Anaheim Ducks, Anaheim Angels!!) and I love to participate in many outdoor activities including surfing, snowboarding, swimming, basketball, softball, soccer, triathlons and hiking.
57, Visalia, CABorn and raised Catholic, I have drifted in and out of the Church during my life, though never seeming to drift very far. I attend Catholic Mass, though I also attend an Evangelical church where a few of my friends go. I enjoy sharing in the faith of my friends. More often than not on Sundays you'll find me singing in the choir at Gateway Church because they have a 35 member orchestra and 100 member choir. It's incredibly uplifting! I am a scientist and jack of all trades. I love astronomy, optics, computers, physics, geology, chemistry, electronics, tools, cars, and just about any gadget you care to name. If I can't fix it then I probably just don't have the right tool. Machines and electronic devices tend to sit up straight and behave when I walk by. :) I'm passionate about riding my bicycle. I ride 3 or 4 days per week (about 25-100 miles/wk), and I'd love it if you like to ride also. It's a great way to stay fit. If you're not enamored of bicycle riding then that's OK too. Vive la difference. I'm an avid amateur astronomer and telescope maker. On New Moon Saturday nights, my friends and I take our telescopes up to the mountains for public star parties, or just roll it out into the driveway for the neighbors when the Moon, Saturn or Jupiter are in a good position. The night sky is the Cathedral of God. If I do watch TV then it tends to be shows made before the 1980's. The older the better it often seems. :) I can hardly think of a Hollywood denizen from today whom I respect, and scant few that I don't actually view as totally alien from my culture. I occasionally watch sports, though my respect towards athletes in general has waned recently as well. It seems as though the more political correctness that creeps into an institution the more I find myself seeking relief from it. I am a calm, quiet, studious and steady person by nature, and I tend to take things in stoic stride. I consider myself to be a kind and decent man, and I long to show God every day that I am worthy of him taking me to live with Jesus. As a general rule I'm not comfortable in crowds of people unless the known goal of the crowd is something with which I agree. I far prefer smaller groups of people with intellectual discussion the goal. As a young man I was quite shy around women, and still tend to be that way today, though not nearly as much. I am fiercely loyal to my family and friends, and I believe a man's word, and faith in God, is all he truly has.
50, Corona, CAI am passionate about being happy with my children and finding the right person to share our lives together. Mostly I look forward to marrying the right woman and enjoy each others company. She must have some education and no tattoos ( or had tattoos ), preferable Hispanic, but not necessarily. I am very loyal and play no games. Can't stand social media but I can compromise. I would love to adapt and become someone new for her. I enjoy reading. I read the Bible. Listening to music is relaxing to me. I have 2 children, a 16 year old boy and a soon 12 year old girl. Live in Corona CA. I enjoy some wine sometimes Argentinian or a Zin on Sat.or Sun, with cheese and olives. I have share custody of my children. I am 5,8" small built, ball head from Mexican descent, but not a macho. Light brown complexion. Like some sports but not a fan. Very hard working and 100% loyal. Enjoy good movies. I work out and run when I have time. Not very organized but I can try my hardest. I use glasses. Very strong about religious views, standards and morals. I like reading the newspaper and books ( when I get one that is recommended to me ). Above all I am happy about this opportunity to meet someone new, even if it wasn't my choice in the first place. I hope I can find her soon.
43, San Leandro, CAI went to Catholic elementary and high school, so I had to teach myself everything about being Catholic once the Internet was finally invented. Because I went to Catholic school, "school" was a mystery to me, so I had to teach myself everything I know once the Internet was finally invented. Just kidding (mostly). However, I don't know about your experience if you went to Catholic school, but let's just say no one became a priest from "Our Lady of the Democrats" school. We also probably had to send numerous reunion notices to the Department of Corrections... After high school, I graduated from Cal State Remedial Bay (formerly Cal State Hayward). I picked Criminal Justice and have worked in Bay Area Law Enforcement for the past 16 years. Before that, I worked for 10 years at the Recreation Department, in America's (former) paradise of San Leandro, as a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor. Between going to Chabot College, and Cal State Hayward, I joined the U.S. Coast Guard Reserves and served for 8 years. Totally new at this thing, so had no idea what to put. Here's what I would guarantee about myself: I think I'm easy to get along with, easy going, responsible, normal guy. Thanks for reading.
29, Alhambra, CAHey there, I'm Brian. I'm just a Holly Martins in a Harry Lime world. Thanks for dropping by. First of all, let's all of us be interesting. Then let us be kind. Or kind first. I always try to be kind, and I think I'm interesting. How so? Yes I am a pluviophile and reading is my living as well as a hobby. I went to college two years early. I run half-marathons even though I hate running. I ran for City Council as a Fascist. I am the only person in the world who has movie posters of both Shame and That Darn Cat on his wall. I'm also the only person in America (or anywhere else) who has met Governor Mike Huckabee and underground animator Ralph Bakshi on the same day. I was still writing letters to Santa in college. I love to explore Los Angeles, from end to end. The Central Library, Venice Beach and The Sunset Strip are some of my favorites. I'm trilocal, bouncing around from Alhambra to Pasadena to Carlsbad, thus retaining my independence and my closeness to family. I thrive on both routine (call it ritual) and new experience. New experiences I would like to try include firewalking, having a girlfriend, and visiting Australia. I'm religious, but I'm not spiritual. I don't know what "drama" is, but I do know that I'm up for it. Because this is real life. I'm very nostalgic. Those are all honest things. Is any of that endearing? I'd date me. No I wouldn't though. That would be narcissistic. But you should maybe?
39, Bellflower, CAI am determined, outgoing, friendly, and very easy to get along with. The things that matter most in my life are Family, Health, Faith, and having a solid connection with God. I embrace and enjoy every aspect that Nature (God's Creation) has to offer. The Life of Christ, my Parents, and Saints have influenced/inspired me to become the person I am today!
77, Menifee, CAI was a Senior systems analyst until my retirement in 2002. I still spend most of the day on the computer, following the news with Foxnews.com, and managing my portfolio using their webpage, along with judicious use of credit cards. I am proud of accepting 18 month free credit card offers to save expenses while my portfolio increases in value, effectively "investing" in the card by finally paying the bills after the money has grown, lately more than 10%. I was introduced to my late wife in 1963 by a computer dating service designed by 2 psychologists. I fell in love at first sight and was happily married for 50 years and 130 days. I have one son who has been married for 26 years. I credit my father and my wife with the lion's share of whatever is good about me.
19, Moreno Valley, CAI am a college student, catechist, Videographer, producer, financial specialist, and a jack of all trades(almost). I take relationships very seriously and I am very involved in my faith; I am very old fashioned and conservative, I want a family someday and a woman who will stand by my side so that I can treat her with respect and dignity. There's a lot about me you'll have to find out on your own. I would love to help my partner get closer to her faith, it is very important to me.
25, San Francisco, CAI'm looking for a serious relationship. I do not need just sex. I want life with a loved one! I like boxing and running around in the woods in the morning. I like watching films.I'm looking for a serious relationship. I do not need just sex. I want life with a loved one!
