Hi, I was raised in San Diego and have stayed here all my life. Approximently half of my siblings were born here so they remind me that I'm not a native. I was married briefly, outside of the church, in the 80's. After that I really focused on my career. When not working, my family and friends, many from childhood, created a great community that absorb much of my free time. They may be the best to ask regarding this question but I'll try to put myself in their shoes and discribe what I think they would say. I am an honest person who is a loyal friend thru good times and bad. I appear reserved, but among friends I'm funny and quick witted. I have a broad range of interests and enjoy discussing things with others. I enjoy a range of outdoor activities many of which require the water. On a more personal note my moral roadmaps are rooted in what I believe to be two of our faiths most important tenants, to love your neighbor as yourself, and, do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Nice guy! ALMOST AS SMART AS YOU! I stand #2 in my class ("Life Management," six guys if we all show up -- but we often get lost, delayed, we forget, or something else seems more important....) Looking forward to being able to travel soon; suffered a setback on probation when I sent an annoyed e-mail to the CM profile editors -- but I haven't shot anyone or taken off points for spelling in over 15 years. Great smile! ;-} Since release, I've come to appreciate the finer things in life -- walks on the beach, candle-lit dinners, good chablis, shoelaces and belts, and a separate bathroom (with a door!). LOVE TO LAUGH! But I still procrastinate (for so many years it hardly mattered). On the positive side, strangers often tell me that I act fifty years younger than my actual age -- great jeannes, I guess. FRIENDS DESCRIBE ME AS: A moron, quite lazy, boring, an incorrigible liar, a multi-millionaire, AND "d***ed lucky if [ I ] get a woman to send a note, let alone go on a date." I prefer to think of myself as a glass-half-full good guy, gleeful that I got you to read this far! Amusingly Catholic, with not a prayer in the cosmos of beatification, but an expert with a cutlass, and wonderful with kids (all child abuse charges were DROPPED). Used to be a long-distance runner, but -- well, you understand. Got my Ph.D. through the mail (SO much easier than the traditional route!), then an honorary doctor of laws degree for the cunning clemency appeal I sent Governor Ventura after taking a creative-writing class while incarcerated. Hey, it worked! Oh, almost forgot to mention: alas, the terrible (court-appointed) attorney couldn't convince the jury that taking command of a Disney cruise ship and diverting it to Club Med was a GREAT idea. (PS: On the seven-question test, me and the other two guys taking it figured we should just guess, cuz we had NO IDEA what the questions meant! Just wanted to be upfront about that.) Have a nice day, and, if we're not right for each other, good luck in your search!

Ever since my spiritual pilgrimmage to Medjugorje, surrendering to God's will has been an ongoing process for me. Sanctification is a tough but necessary road. And I know that once you start on that journey, there is no turning back. A U. S. Naval Officer until I attended Engineering graduate school, my livelihood is layout design for semiconductor companies in Califormia. But I have two passions --- spirituality and music. I have led bible studies & prayer meetings and enjoy giving spiritual & emotional support to people in need. I'm constantly mindful of the 3 virtues of "faith, hope and love" through the intercession of the Blessed Mother; to be kind, patient, honest, doing unto others as I'd like for them to do unto me, and practicing fortitude --- doing what is right even if it is inconvenient or unpopular. Praying the rosary has been a source of strength in all these aspects of my spiritual walk, and the Blessed Mother knows we need it when she says, "Pray, pray, pray ...". As for music, I enjoy playing guitar at parties and getting people to sing along, but I also can appreciate the value of playing classical piano in solitude. For recreation, I enjoy getting together with relatives & friends; physical training; ballroom dancing (I love dancing "the swing"); going to the movies after dinner; and attending sporting events & air shows.

Hi my name is Richard. I am a White / Caucasian male living in Ramona, CA, USA. I am 5'9" tall with brown eyes and reddish-brown hair. I would describe my body type as Average, but a little overweight. I am your classical computer nerd. Although, I did excel in sports in college and high school. I have worked in the computer industry for the past 20 years and love it. I'd have to say my one big flaw is that I am rather shy. ............

I am a 6-year widowed 65-year-old male, looking for a partner with marriage as the goal. Having been happily married for 25 years, I am unapologetically enthusiastic about the married state of life. And those who think that the endless variety and lack of commitment afforded by a deliberately chosen single life is the way to go do not know what they are talking about. If you have been burned in marriage and/or love or you are a sexual libertine, then I suppose it is understandable, but I still think it is a mistake. I am not therefore interested in a perpetual round of dating. I'm looking for one person I can romance and be attentive to - someone who shares my values, which are those of a, hopefully, faithful Catholic Christian.

I'm a fun guy who enjoys cooking, cruising, movies, spending most of my time with my family ( children and grandchildren), Mornings spent at the fitness center, enjoy once in a while going to the casino, cruising, & SAILING!!- Spent most of my years in law emforcement both private an public on the east coast "love" being near or around water, Not into the Bar scene, would rather be. watching a beautiful sunset with that special person by my side, is in it self a wonderful gift. ,Enjoy the company of others, but also like my "quiet time". again with that special person The best part of my day is when i can put a "smile" on the face of each and everry person I meet. . I guess I'm looking for a " meaningful" relationship full of hugs and kisses that may in time hopefully grow into a sincere relationship, but only time will tell.."Carpe diem"
  • Jim, 82 from El Cajon, CA
    82, El Cajon, CA
I am a very young late 70's guy who has a mountain of energy and always finds interesting ways to use it! I stay active in the business community and in Real Estate in particular. I do not sit at home and watch TV, although I do enjoy watching sports(especially Baseball and Golf) occasionally. During my evening cocktail hour, I try to catch one of the world news programs daily to keep current on happenings out there and usually that is on FOX news. I do read every day and tend toward history and interesting biographies. I retired from the air transportation industry where I worked my entire work life (over 40 years) and naturally have traveled extensively during those years. San Diego has been my home since 1981 and I cannot imagine a better place to live than here. My children are all adults and are actively engaged in raising their families. They mostly reside in the Midwest, specifically around Chicago, where I grew up.I graduated from a Jesuit college preparatory high school there and went to college at Western Michigan University where I competed in Cross Country and Track as a long distance runner. After college, I was an Army field artillery officer, husband and father.I try to maintain my fitness level to this day as a result of the discipline I gained early on in athletics and the military. Having lived in the Midwest and the East for much of my life, I really do appreciate our beautiful San Diego weather, especially during our Winter season!
  • Michael, 73 from Oceanside, CA

Hi, I go by either michael or mike, I have no preference. I have lived in California all my life from the age of 4 months, however was born in Salt Lake City. Grew up in the city of San Bernardino. After high school I attended Cal Poly Tech. in Pomona majoring in Civil Engineering, then shortly after Refrigeration and Air Conditioning up until the age of 22, when I went into the U.S. Army in 1965 and trained as a medical corpsman. Yep, the Viet Nam war era. I was stationed in an army hospital and worked mostly in the emergency room. It turned out to be a field I really loved and enjoyed. So after California began a paramedic , E,M.T. program I attended a college that provided ROP classes and received an E,M.T. certification. Not long after I obtained employment at the Loma Linda Medical Center in the emergency room, assisting the trauma units. My other passions were fly fishing and flying so early 80s I got certified as a private pilot. In the mid 80s I relocated to Ft Myers, Florida and worked in the ER at Lee Memorial. I had great liking for that type of high energy work. I truly loved the work and the staff but it was becoming very stressful to work with seriously injured children. In both Loma Linda and Lee memorial we usually took most of the worst trauma flown in by helicopter. In 1989 I moved back to California in Long Beach.. In 1997 until 2000 I moved to El Paso Tx. working for a Saturn car dealership, it was there that I attended a Catholic Parish with a friend and after almost a year of R C I A, was baptized Easter of 1999. September 2000 I moved back to Ca. in Oceanside and worked for Saturn in Oceanside until 2003, then applied and began working for the San Diego Blood Bank. I later retired and searched for a deeper faith where I attended daily mass St. Francis of Assisi eventually becoming a Eucharistic minister. A couple years later I began attending daily mass at the Prince of Peace Abbey, a Benedictine Monastery in Oceanside. I had found a home there becoming and Oblate. It was there that my faith grew to where I am today. About 3 years ago, I changed venue's, now attending daily noon mass or near daily at the Mission San Luis Rey. My home parish is in Oceanside.

My dream for years has been to compose piano music and to get it published. I like to read, play the piano, watch a good movie, take hikes. I also love listening to different kinds of music. As of late I have been into movie soundtracks, especially Hans Zimmer. I also have come across Above and Beyond. I know that I am old for that kind of music, but I have always had a love for electronic music, especially keyboards. Also, I have done a lot of reading of the Catholic saints and theologians, especially St. John of the Cross, St. Augustine and others.
