50, El Cajon, CAFirst let me say that I am not paying member, so I am only able to send emotigrams, no messages. Now, let me say I am a loyal man that loves his family even though sometimes we don't get along. I have an awesome job and the belief that family must take care of each other. I was raised a Catholic but I only started to go to mass every Sunday about ten years ago. I felt that something was missing in my life so I decided to go back to church, with the hope of filling that missing something. I enjoy going out with friends but I also enjoy just spending time at home with family and friends. If you are interested in a nice, honest and loyal man who will respect you then please send me a message.
30, San Diego, CAI am currently working as a Program Planner for a company specializing in electromagnetic systems and nuclear physics. I also obtained my Project Management Professional Certificate from San Diego State University a couple years ago. I am on this site with the hope of meeting that special someone that God has planned for me. Some things I like to do in my free time are to work out, watch and play sports (soccer, basketball, football, baseball and surfing) and hang out with my friends and family.
47, Oceanside, CALord have mercy. Lord make me to know thy ways oh lord. I look forward to the resurrection of... haha well you know that part, but I look forward to finding out if I really can get on the marriage wagon that many others have many years before me yet are the same age as myself, to see myself in a better light than a 47 year old never-married man. My parents are the number one influences of my life and I am very lucky to have such happily married parents, married since 1964. I use Facebook to communicate with musicians and arrange time to practice and play music. Church keeps me from going the wrong directions. I have thought what I enjoy in my leisure time will have to change if I am to be in a relationship, because I do whatever is fun rather than the responsible things required in family life, but I think I have discovered playing music will never leave me, and at my age, I probably won't be raising any kids anyway, and playing music in itself is not irresponsible. Many people like a break from the monotony of life once in a while to go see live music. I find nothing wrong with it as long as my home resposibilities get done.
30, Carlsbad, CAHi there! My name is Chris. I guess you could say I am passionate about people; I am preparing to take the GRE's and enter a masters program in social work, where I eventually want to either be a family counselor or marriage counselor. I guess you could say I am more 'alive' when I am helping people through difficult times in their lives or just need someone to listen to. In the mean time though, I'm currently an auditor working in medical billing.
45, Del Mar, CAI would like to meet like-minded people with which to become friends first. I find that I am much more comfortable around Catholics; I think perhaps its to do with soul-centered living, rather than the ego-driven life that is so common in western culture, especially in Southern California. I prefer to focus on my contribution in society rather than on what extravagances I can obtain. Serving others and my community are my highest ideals. Perhaps things about me might appear to be a contradiction. I am not complicated but I do have diverse interests. I am smart, confident, and do not shy way from confrontation, yet I remain open minded. I am not a competitive person.
77, Fallbrook, CAI like to keep my spiritual, mental & physical life in the best condition possible and at the same time help others to do the same. Mentally I am a Richard Rohr enthusiast, avid news/political follower, and enjoy historical reading. Physically I would say that I am above active for my age and plan to continue as I believe that it is part of the reason that I am so healthy. I bike ride with friends 120-150 miles per week, golf and/or walk 2x's per week, and gym 3x's. I have no health problems and take no medications. One person that had an influential role in my life was my wife of 49 years. She was very active in life, the church, and in her generous heart. She passed away this past February 2016. I enjoy travel both locally and internationally, plays, theater, lectures, dining out.
54, San Marcos, CAI am into keeping myself in healthy condition such as exercising, playing tennis, working out in the gym, jogging, bowling and eating healthy. I am self-employed and owned a business for 20 years now. The Lord has been an influential part of my life and I have faith and trust in him.
67, San Diego, CAMy dream for years has been to compose piano music and to get it published. I like to read, play the piano, watch a good movie, take hikes. I also love listening to different kinds of music. As of late I have been into movie soundtracks, especially Hans Zimmer. I also have come across Above and Beyond. I know that I am old for that kind of music, but I have always had a love for electronic music, especially keyboards. Also, I have done a lot of reading of the Catholic saints and theologians, especially St. John of the Cross, St. Augustine and others.
24, San Diego, CAI'm a JD/MBA student at the University of San Diego, focusing on International Law and Business. While this comes across as studious (and perhaps a bit boring!) I've lived a full life trying out different paths before I ended up here. I originally planned to move to NYC from San Diego to pursue theater professionally. I ended up in New York, but at a Jesuit University (Fordham) studying Classics (Greco-Roman languages, literature, and history) and next thought I wanted to be an archaeologist after two summers spent abroad in Rome. After undergrad I moved back to my hometown of San Diego, took a gap year, and ended up applying to law school because I had determined that what I wanted most in this life was the freedom and opportunity to travel for work and for pleasure. I've since added an MBA, and have made it to Great Britain, Mexico, and China in the past 9 months. Mission accomplished! Still, my love for experiencing new cultures, languages, and food has me working on my next travel opportunity already. Meaningful life experiences obviously include all the countries I've been to (9 and counting), living and going to school in Manhattan, and having the experience of living in San Diego both as a child and as an adult. My mother has been the most influential person in my life, but my group of friends (5) from high school take a close second. I've been friends with them since 7th grade, and although we're somewhat dispersed across the country, one of them is actually a current roommate. While I don't have all that much free time as a full time grad student, I do enjoy reading, Netflix, driving around and exploring San Diego, and meeting up at a bar or microbrewery in my free time. Love the beach, but I don't go enough, and I would definitely like a match that could motivate me to be out and active more often (camping, hiking, etc.)
27, San Diego, CAHumble, honest, and I care about lot about others. I was born Catholic and my faith forms a very essential part of my life, I attend mass weekly. Mexican background. I really enjoy cycling, watching sports, watching movies, traveling, and meeting new people. I have a great sense of humor and I am very sociable, I can spend hours talking to someone.
21, Escondido, CAMy major is physics. I intend to become a professor of physics at some point, and I several summers of teaching experience under my belt. If you are interested in physics, or astronomy, or chess, or church history, or cold war history, I will probably be at least somewhat interesting in conversation. I am absolutely obsessed with books as well. I especially love fantasy and science fiction works, though I do love some of the classics of gothic fiction. If given a particularly interesting textbook I will read it cover to cover and memorize it's contents in a few days time. In terms of television, I prefer stuff with story lines and complex characters, and I prefer animation to live action. Regardless, if something is well-crafted, I will typically enjoy it. The same goes for movies. My family has the strongest influence on my life. Both of my parents and both sets of grandparents highly emphasize the importance of education and ethical conduct. Pretty much all of my religious education came from my Mom, who also home-schooled me for 8 years. She had me learn the catechism inside and out, and read through a fairly large textbook on church history, so that I would have a sense of the reasons behind my beliefs. My Dad, unfortunately, was not nearly as strong in the Faith. He did, however, teach me the value of rational thought and discipline. Both sides of my family have a heavy scientific background as well, leading to my love of physics. Most importantly, am the oldest of 6, and they have taught me the value of patience and empathy, and helped me develop a love of children as well.
21, San Diego, CAI'm passionate about faith, love and happiness. I look forward to the joy of others around me. My family has been and will continue to be the most influential part of my life. My experience in the military has helped me grow in so many directions. In my leisure time I enjoy trips to the beach, listening to music and watching tv. I always try my hardest to set aside time for prayer.
