My faith is important to me and is part of my daily life. I value kindness, integrity, decency, hard work, and honesty. I try and conduct my life that way. I'm a shy person who opens up to others after I get to know them. I like to laugh and my sense of humor opens up as I get to know others. I also tend to try and reflect on things before I speak or take action. I am a college professor and writer, but have worked in various fields in my life. I am moderate to conservative in my views. I respect Church teaching, its leadership, and the value of human life. As a Catholic, I primarily have a conservative view. I enjoy daily Mass when possible. I do enjoy English as well as the Latin Mass. I value intellectual as well as non-intellectual pursuits. I have very broad interests in life. I enjoy meeting new people, places and ideas. I grew up on a ranch and like the outdoors. Getting my hands dirty and making things grow are a part of me. My physical exercise is working with my hands in my garden and workshop. I am a hard worker and a person who believes in and works toward goals in life. I do like to hike and enjoy nature photography and charcoal sketching. I try to respect people and expect the same in return. Dating is often difficult as one is putting oneself out there. As a Catholic Christian, I believe that if you aren't interested in a person, they are still entitled to be treated with respect.

    50, Long Beach, CA
I'm tall (6'-2'), blue-eyed, with a slender-average-athletic build, and come from western European American roots. I enjoy smart conversation, culture, children, architecture, reading, current events, music, and traveling. I enjoy my career pioneering the digital media and marketing industry. I'm financially secure, some would say accomplished, yet always thirsty for more learning and exploration. I like historical homes, love music (from Jack Johnson to U2, Basie, Ellington) and will read almost anything related to history. I'm most happy when reading a great book, experiencing new cultures, dancing, cooking, BBQing, eating a home cooked meal, partner dancing, listening to my music collection, taking a power nap, and helping people. I can talk to almost anyone and enjoy it. Yet, at times, I enjoy my quiet time. I would love to meet someone that is confident, smart, kind, Catholic, and is open to a long term relationship. Maybe more.

Ok lets see I would say I get along with most everyone. I try or I choose to see the good, even when things are clearly not going so well. I am for the underdog not so much in sports, but in life I like to stay in shape, some of the ways I do this is by going to the gym, bike riding doing stuff around the house like yard work ext.. I enjoy the beach, lakes pretty much anything out doors.Does jumping out of a plain count as out doors? Because if it does I just might have to become a spectator! If we end up getting in touch I will tell you more, but for now thanks for your time & good luck! & God Bless!!!PS. I am not out to change the person that I am with but rather to be happy with who we are. Of course we all have differences. Its just a matter of trying!.. Oh and the lil guy in the pics w/me is my grandson. : )

I am retired now and living in a retirement community. I enjoy the quiet lifestyle. I spend most of my time now reading, traveling, playing golf, exercising, and doing service work. I have a special interest in spirituality and the Enneagram. The Enneagram describes nine personality types or world views.

    28, Los Angeles, CA
I'm an adventurer at heart, and I believe the ultimate adventure is the journey of becoming fully united to Jesus Christ. I'm socially outgoing, hard working, and have a lighthearted and stupid sense of humor. I love the outdoors: hiking, backpacking, off-roading (fast), rock climbing, and anything that takes me to new and exciting places. But my real home is in the city- I enjoy concerts, movies, eating out, meeting new people and exploring LA.

I have lived in California all my life for the exception of 3 years in Ft. Myers Fl. and 2 years in El Paso, Texas where I was baptized after almost a year of R C I A. At age of 22, I went into the U.S. Army in 1965 and trained as a medical corpsman. I was stationed in an army hospital and worked mostly in the emergency room. It turned out to be a field I really loved and enjoyed. So after California began a paramedic , E,M.T. program I attended a college that provided ROP classes and received an E,M.T. certification. Soon after I began working at the Loma Linda Medical Center in the emergency room, assisting the trauma units. My other passions were flyfishing and flying. 1980 , received a pilots license. Easter of 1999 I became a convert. I moved to Oceanside ca. in 2000 . I attended weekly mass at St. Francis church in Vista and The Prince of Peace Abbey monastary for the next 10 years. Now I enjoy attending daily mass three or four times a week

  • Daniel, 26 from Berkeley, CA

    26, Berkeley, CA
I'm currently doing my Master's degree in Structural Engineering at UC Berkeley. To me this is the most exciting opportunity in my professional life so far! You see, I am deeply in love with my profession and it is also my every day prayer to the Lord. I was lucky to go to a University in Mexico for my undergrad that was Opus Dei oriented, so I strongly sympathize with their belief on sanctification through ordinary life and work. A winning combination in my life, I like to think. Aside from work and study, I can also have fun hahaha. I really enjoy hiking and I like to do a couple heavy mountaineering trips per year. I like photography too, so I can mix that with my outdoor hobbies to get some pretty awesome pictures... not because of my photography skills (which are kind of poor) but because nature is so wonderful that you just can't take a bad picture. I just want to find that special girl to share all this things with.

Seeking and doing justice is what I found to be my purpose in life and I get to do that on a daily basis working as a criminal attorney. When I'm not at work, I enjoy going to bars and trying different beers or whiskey, friendly banter with my friends, playing games, and philosophical discussions. I will do the occasional hike or concert if there's something that catches my interest. I spent three years in Indiana so I have a soft spot for the Midwest and do go back on occasion to visit. I'd like to visit all 50 (so far I've hit 16/50) states but Rome or London are where I'd really like to go next year.

I am passionate about following Christ and His Church. After a lifetime of atheism and a short layover with Protestantism, I was received into full Communion with the Church at Easter Vigil 2017 (praise God). I am looking for someone to help me grow in faith and share in my dedication to serving our Lord. I love linguistics and am an aspiring teacher of English as a foreign language. I also study theology and would like to assist with teaching catechism one day. I enjoy learning about languages, world history, and philosophy, listening to music, reading, and watching movies (I work at a movie theater, so let's hang out and we can go for free!)

  • David, 53 from Sacramento, CA

Hello, I am passionate about life and the great beauty God has made us for, and made for us. We live in a time of great confusion, great destruction and yet; great possibilities. I have lived through divorce and raised four young children to adulthood, I know the pain and difficulty of life in today's world. But I also know the great joy and peace that Jesus taught us: "The world cannot take from you"..and this has seen me through the darkness. This is the beauty of our faith, it is the only hope for the world. John Paul 2 said we live in a culture of death -- but love really does conquer all things, if we really believe it will. I have reached an age in my life when I am over manufactured drama and hardheartedness, I see this so much, people live in fear and blame, anger and vengeance. That's not for me. Thanks to my parents I always believed in goodness, even when I was the only one in the room who did. I have had to fight to keep this faith and received lots of blows; all calculated to make me stop believing in goodness, the goodness of God, the goodness in others, the goodness in myself. Faith is the answer we all need and love is the fruit of this kind of faith. This has to be true no matter what real drama we have to go through on our journey. But, to journey alone is not what I want. I want to meet and share this faith, this love with a wonderful woman who has come to the same conclusions I have, on her own journey. I want us to join our journeys into one grand journey with mutual respect for each other, for every other person we meet and for God's creation...and mostly to believe in goodness and love no matter what the world does....this is what peace and love are all about. You don't have to be perfect, just be stubbornly determined to make this a reality in your life..and it will: "Faith is the realization of things hoped for..." ---St. Paul. Let's make it real...
